    "I know it's only 462 miles in the desert, but..." Understatement of the year! I'm so glad you're back on the PCT. I don't do fb much anymore, so only recently realized you were back out there. I've been happily binging your new journey. WAY TO GO!!
    XOXO Laura

    Hi Tracy, get a bottle of apple cider vinegar and pour a little in a cup and mix with water, drink it and heartburn will be gone...make yourself a bottle of water and vinegar and sip it...Advil can cause burning sensation in stomach as well! Keep up the good work and stay safe!

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому

      Thank you! I do alternate Advil and Tylenol. I'm working in my diet and that seems to help but long mile days still bring it on... may just not be digesting well when i'm stressing my body.

    Nexium helps, better than tums and you can get it over the counter. Great preventative measure and it works all day.

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому

      Thank you! I'll look into trying that. I think the activity all day may affect my digestion so I need to try new things to deal with it. 🤗💕

    I’m really enjoying your videos and appreciate your being careful and cautious of your body and how you handle challenges of the trail. Your camera work shows the trail well and the views are stunning.

      Thank you very much! I'm hoping to continually get better and fine tune things with myself and my recordings as I go. Some days I don't record as much or interesting things and have to get creative with my editing. It's all a lot of fun though. 🤗💕

      Thank you Tammy! It's been on and off during my hike. I'm trying to figure out triggers but all the activity may be affecting digestion too. It's been better recently, thankfully!! 🤗💕

    I was just up there by the Cougar Crest Trail last weekend. Of course, you're long past that area by now. We hiked Bertha Peak and then did a little trail magic where the PCT crosses road 2N09 which is the Polique Canyon Trailhead. Only had two PCTer all morning, but I kind of expected that since there are only a small handful still down this far south. Anyway, congrats on connecting your steps! Safe travels and looking forward to seeing more of your videos. :)

      It's all such a beautiful area! Thank you for providing trail magic. I'm sure it made the day for the few hikers that came through though. It can make a huge difference to even just one person out there!! Thank you for following along! 🤗💕

    Great accomplishment Condor, 300 miles +, wow, you’ve definitely got this, you sound so strong and quite determined. The music was such a beautiful addition to the video, it makes it even more enchanting. With you all the way 😊.
    Loved that it was over half an hour long to start my day. 🥰🙏🏻

      Thank you! Most of my videos seem to be getting up over 30 mins combining two days. The last video from day 9 was only one day but I think I like to see two days at least. Thanks so much for watching and always being so supportive! 🥰🙏🤗💕

    I carry baking soda to brush my teeth and it doubles as a heartburn cure but I don't carry enough of it for chronic heartburn but I also take one Pepcid AC every evening for acid reflux at night. I also carry a half dozen Omeprazole that last 24 hours as a backup in case the Pepcid fails to do the job. The Omeprazole really works but you should not take it for long term use (over a month I think)

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому

      Thanks for the tips. It may just be something I have to deal with at times out there. I think even just the constant activity may be affecting my digestion. The fun of getting older, haha. 🤗💕

    300, Another milestone for the books!! Two things I avoid when acid stomach acts up; MSG which is Ramen flavor packets and sleeping on my right side which can allow stomach contents to backup into your throat.

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the tips. No Ramen on this hike, yet! But I'll keep these in mind. 🤗💕

    This was s nice morning reverie! Today is summer solstice and our cold front has gone, so your cold night and sunny day was felt as I watched. Congrats on the 300!

      I'm so happy it's warming up in the PNW. It looks to be getting very warm in NorCal in the coming week when I get back out there. I don't mind though, melt the snow - please!!! I have a feeling the bugs are going to be brutal so I have my head bug net and I'm bringing my son's small mesh shelter he left behind at the house. It's the perfect size for breaks and I could cowboy camp in it too. It only weighs a few oz so I think it will be a great addition. Enjoy your warm up and nice weather up there! 🤗💕

    I am really enjoying your videos and am rooting for you!!!! Just an idea, you may try alternating advil with tylenol since advil can be hard on the stomach! This is what the dr had me doing while I was recovering from knee surgery! Praying for you!!!

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! I do alternate those two. I'm working on diet and hopefully the root of the issue. 💕

    Thanks for the ledge walking comments. FYI -- between a lack of endurance capacity and a badly inflamed knee, I decided to postpone my Big Bear to Agua Dulce trek until at least fall and am hitting the Trans Catalina Trail (40 miles on Catalina Island) this summer.

    Condor saw some Eagles! 👏👏 I always love your bird footage but I know how getting them on video is not so easy! I've started using the Merlin bird app and am having fun with it! Congrats on connecting your steps! 🌻💛

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому +1

      These Apps are so fun. I'm addicted to my plant ID App - Picture This. I miss way too much with my stupid phone but I just can't bring myself to carry the added weight of a good camera just yet. I would have loved to have gotten the Golden Eagles on film but yes, all the best finds are way too quick for me, lol. Ugh! 🤗💕

    No, bikes are not allowed on the PCT. This is an ongoing battle between the bike lobby and trail organizations. Apparently some folks believe “rules” don’t apply to them.

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  Рік тому +3

      That's what I thought. And that ledge they were climbing was narrow so hoping they didn't surprise any hikers.
