Just to clarify...a Navy Seal...is not a tier 1 operator. They're on the same level as a green beret...and army ranger.
All of these units do have Tier 1 level operators. For the seals that is DEVGRU. Aka development group.
For the army special forces community there's Delta force and the rangers do have a Tier 1 unit known as the regimental reconnaissance company (which our current specgru rangers 1234 are all apart of)

So TF 141 is based off the real world TF 145 which was an international unit consisting of Delta force, U.S. Army Green Berets, US Army Rangers, UK Special Air service, UK special Boat service, US Navy seals, US 160th SR the Nightstalkers, FBI, CIA, MI5, MI6 and the Defense intelligence Agency, US Air Force special tactics and reconnaissance squadrons

    • @Ogrynbig656
      @Ogrynbig656 12 днів тому +12

Tf 145 was broken down into smaller teams the worked interoperability together.what was unique was they had complete operational freedom in the hunt for zarkawi who helped plan 9/11, they did what you could call rapid intel response. So when intel is retrieved in the field from a raid it has to go through several levels of review to be verified before it could be acted on, this makes sure it’s credible but often by the time it can be acted on they’d move .145 didn’t do that. Instead when they received Andy kind of intel they acted immediately on it and would launch subsequent raids immediately sometimes it led to duds sometimes it’d pay off sometimes it was a trap.

In MW2 2009 Task Force 141 was a multi national team of American, British, Australian and Canadian special forces with at least 80 members. It was never just Soap, Roach, Ghost and Price. There were always other operators, sometimes they’d be the same name every time (Royce, Meat, Rook, Archer, Toad, Scarecrow, Ozone, Worm) or it would pull a random one from the list of names (Midnight, Jester, Rocket, etc.)
I don’t know the exact military terms but it went from 80 guys (a platoon??) to 4 (a squad?)
They could use characters we already know and just say “they were pulled from Marine Force Recon/Army Rangers/Delta and are in the 141 now”
Give us Vasquez, Jackson, Griggs, Foley, Dunn, Ramirez, Allen, Frost, Grinch, Truck and Sandman and say they’re in the 141. Price’s squad can operate in one location, Vasquez in another. Mix them up a bit too if you want.
But the idea that these 4 British guys are running ops around the globe single handedly is insane when the original task force was a huge joint op and you understood you weren’t just a one man wrecking ball. You’re one of the best of the best, but you still need your team to operate

Funny how not even Delta is present, let alone SEALs.
OGs were a lot better in incorporating real life SFs into the story, SEALs would work with 141 in securing an oil rig, Deltas sacrifices themselves to stop the third world war.
One of the mistakes they made in writing the 141 in the reboot is that they wrote as if 141 are solo action heroes, this is apparent in MWIII in an open combat mission where only 4 guys are deployed to raid an entire nuke facility in broad daylight mind you, that's just... I'm sorry, but we needed around a couple stacks of SAS just to clear a single house, this was the realism that this new series established in 2019, it went down the drain in 2023.

As a Brit, I didn't even think about stuff like this. But in terms of writing, it could be either that the writers want to focus on the current characters, which happen to be mostly British rather than American, or the other reason could be that the writers are worried about being compared to TV shows about Seals and focus on other special forces like the SAS as I can only really think of one show that covers the SAS which is from the early 2000s called Ultimate Force, that's actually a pretty good show to be honest and has a lot of themes that usually don't get covered in that era of Television.
But the writers could then maybe focus on other US based operators, Delta Force perhaps. But I will say that they do kind of use US forces, but for some reason, that being the Marines, which I've got nothing against, but the mission in MW2 where you first go to capture Hassan, I'm pretty sure its the Marines who are with you, hell, in the first mission of MW2019, I think its Marines there who infil with Alex rather than Seals or any other special forces.

Probably because Activision realised how overused SEALs are in video games and Hollywood alike and thought it best to bring attention to some of the lesser known SOF unit out there such as MARSOC.
Outside of that navy seals are vastly overrated in the SOF communities and people dont realize that navy seals are not a tier 1 unit. That goes to DEVGRU also know as Seal Team Six which is what David Mason was apart of in black ops 2

To be fair, the CIA isn't * supposed* to be operating in U.S. soil, anyways. That being said, I'd rather just see our representation as just being regular ground pounders like in the original series. Which arguably, a lot of our dedicated 11b are on equal playing fields with the vast majority of nations' top elites already. But I also say that having fallen out of CoD forever ago in favor of things like Fallujah, HLL, and Tarkov.

Well here’s the thing, the OG Modern Warfare had originally the SAS investigating Zakhaev, cause he was their case, and the Intel for the ops came from the Americans and at that time both Militaries are working in an alliance. It was after OG MW, that Shepard had created TF141 in MW2 whereby its members were loaned out from US Allies. In the reboot however, TF141 has always been a CIA Task Force under Kate Laswell and Price is Kate’s Asset as the British have loaned him to the US Government. Furthermore all these alliances and operations have been done under the cooperation of US and UK Governments

I agree with you on task force 141 being way to split up. They start to feel less like a group of people working together on the same goal and more like a group of people with the same ideology. I think the best way to fix this would be to have main characters for different branches of the military instead of playing as different characters in task force 141. This would allow the game to have task force 141 be in the same place and have a different main character with a different group of people somewhere else chasing down a different lead. I also think Farrah and Alex shouldn’t really be apart of task force 141 since they’re the leaders of the urzikstan rebel militia and kinda forces the modern warfare games to take place in urzikstan if they want them apart of the story.

Task force 141 did exists in real life and they were lead by a us general. There is nothing wrong with that but I think the biggest issue with the task force 141 in the new series is that it is so reliant on just those 4 characters. The task force was designed to be a multinational task force the best of the best of all the nato countries and that’s what the new series is missing. Mw2019 was the closest resemblance of what that would have looked like in real life. But mw2 started drifting away from that realism and with mw3 the realism is no longer there

Here, Seals would just be another CTU doing the same shit as 141, just under a different flag. There's not really anything that they specialize in that 141 can't do themselves. It wouldve been great to see devgru, rangers, and delta force in MWII and MWIII, but unfortunately it seems like there just wasnt the same effort and attention to detail being put into the aesthetic and artstyle of the game in the sequels so we didnt get any new US SOF. Shadow company became the stand in US faction of the game, probably because it was easier to design them since they didnt need any reference. MW had marsoc, but their gear got downgraded in MWII. That game also couldve used the great looking ranger skins they made and had army rangers be the group you work with just like in the original, and seals couldve showed up on the oil rig mission, and helped with the final mission in the city instead of marines. MWIII also obviously shouldve had delta but that campaign was so rushed and terrible it was never gonna have anything cool or new in it anyway

For the mexico situation with shadowy CIA handlers in the background, that would likely be a ground branch operation, or even CAG (CAG has worked in mexico in the past)

    Let's clarify some things together.
First, Navy SEALs AREN'T tier one operators. SEAL Team 6 is, though, but because it's a DEVGRU team. Anyone who is showing exemplary skills in their natural SEAL teams have an opportunity to try out for DEVGRU, also known as SEAL team 6.
2, Task Force 141 is a JSOC unit (Joint Special Operations Command). JSOC comprises teams of special forces members in the U.S. Armed Forces, and some Allied Forces also.
(There was also a real life TF141 called TF144/TF166 or something like that. Look it up)
Anyway, JSOC operates with the United States Military since it's run by the U.S. military.
If you're wondering why more Navy SEALs aren't in the game, it's because the developers didn't have much knowledge on our military to make everything right, (shown through small mistakes in the game and in the MW2 Reboot,) and because Navy SEALs aren't assigned to the same tasks as JSOC units. Navy SEALs are more focused on Naval and water-borne operations. I'm not saying they don't operate in other areas or terrains, but that's where they focus their efforts.
Anyway, if you're wondering why SEAL team 6 wasn't in there or CAG (Delta Force,) it's because the developers lacked some knowledge on groups like such, and because it's following TF141.
Sometimes, JSOC will work with other Special Operations Forces (like seen with TF141 working with MARSOC in the MW2 Reboot), but not all the time. Besides, some of the missions are their business, or they only need a platoon of JSOC to do it, no more needed. (Implementing DEVGRU or CAG would require at least 2 platoons in a mission, which again they wouldn't often need.
The other thing is JSOC does their own things and focuses on the problems given to them. (I.e if CAG is working on taking out one insurgent leader, and JSOC is focused on another). JSOC does JSOC things, CAG and DEVGRU do their own.
So, to answer your question, the developers didn't know enough, and other special forces wouldn't really work with JSOC, rather they'd focus on their own problems.
Also, CAG/Delta Force is the true tier one. They're the best on the planet. Look them up. You won't necessarily find much, but you will find some. They're highly secretive, and they're the baddest🤷‍♂️

Seal teams are just getting too much attention nowadays.
In real life, there's so much drama and backstabbing to one another in the community. Not to mention the uncovering of controversies one after another, including the death of John Chapman, the Medal of Honor recipient who stayed behind to cover the extraction of his Seal team unit he was assigned to.
Delta Force only got their small share of fictional fame such as Delta Force video game titles back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Not that big but they're widely remembered for their nostalgia. They should be more involved in the CoD MW series since this is a Tier 1 unit that takes on high risk operations same as the SAS.
Since that Delta is the American version of the SAS, it would be cool to have them paired side by side.
