Nice job, as always. This is a move in the right direction for sure. But that last point you made about "enabling gift messages for all" on Etsy is a bummer. But a great option if all of your products happen go through print providers that offer the gift message option. Also, room for improvement on the lack of ability to edit a gift message. In an ideal world, gift messages and wrapping would be offered by all print providers. Maybe one day.
9:25 ADDING GIFT MESSAGES TO AN ORDER: I just had someone order something with a gift message and I did not realize I had gift messages turned off on Printify, but I had them turned on with Etsy. I just figured out how to add it, in case anyone else runs into this. I went to printify and the order was still pending so I clicked edit order, and I don't know if I had to do it or not, I went and found the same product and size and added that and then removed the duplicate and then clicked next, confirmed the address information, then clicked next to calculate shipping, and then there was the gift option available on the bottom right, so I pasted the text that the customer had requested and it added the gift card to the order. Again, not sure if I had to add the product again and replace it, I might have been just able to click next, but the point is, there is a way to add the gift card if the order has not yet been sent to production. I don't know if this trick works for orders not yet sent to production yet or not. Mine wasn't sent to production yet so that's why I know it works on the orders not yet sent to production. Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else. :)
I had the exact same problem today and, of course, it's next to impossible to get help from Printify. I was horrified that I wasn't able to add my customer's birthday gift message to the order after enabling gift messages in store settings. I did what you suggested and it worked!! THANK YOU!! Hello, I am enjoying your lecture. Currently, I am openinging an etsy shop.but, I'm trying to open another shop in addition to shopify , but I can't use same brand name. So do I have to register two businesses? And once I open a shop, how long does it take before I can sell products?
I have an order marked as gift, but there's no message from customer. I checked on my printify settings, I have not set the gift message yet, so my order doesn't have gift message information like on your order. What should I do?
