  • This was a cool build mainly because the boat is brand new, plus the customer let us design it! Not a lot of people drop of a brand new boat and tell us to have at it, but every now and then it happens! Hope you enjoy the video. Ps: there will be a part 2!

    Dude, Matt!!!… You are KILLING IT! Every build is seemingly better than the last!
    Just insane the quality of your work and the CLEANLINESS of your builds… BELLISIMO!
    The only thing I want to see is you cut those rear bench compartments down to place seats on them with a console to fully bass boat these rigs in the most comfortable way. Tillers are ok, but a steering wheel setup
    is 2nd to none, and no one is capable of doing it how you can.
    Sick, sick, Siiiiick Build! I have to clear my plate a bit but once3 I do, I'm going to hook you up w something in the near future!

    You kind of advised me against foam a year or so ago. Have you found something new?

    • @TRICKEDTINS
      @TRICKEDTINS  15 днів тому +2

      I've always recommended closed cell sheet foam or no foam. Spray and pour foam are a joke. Idc what others say. Truth is, it's crap.

    • @rtshort
      @rtshort 15 днів тому

      Thanks for clearing that up. It was the spray/pour foam that you were talking about. I've never heard of a closed cells sheet foam. I'll have to look that up. Do you use it for flotation or sound deeding? Combination of both?

    • @theINQBS
      @theINQBS 13 днів тому +1

      @@rtshort Probably both. If you fish skinny water, particularly in salt water, fish tend to be skittish and the reverberation of the hull resonates through water like you can't imagine, so lining the hull with a little something helps deaden the tinny frequency substantially. Spray or self expanding foam is great to solidify things, but it takes on and HOLDS water so it weighs your rig down like you can't imagine. Matt has ripped that stuff out of projects he's done for clients and the weight of waterlogged foam is unbelievable. I've ripped that out of 30 year old boats and while it's saturated with water, there's also fuel in it which isn't good in any capacity and a serious hazard.

      @@theINQBS Thanks. I was thinking something like that. I don't fish salt water but I can see where that would cause problems with sound traveling through it. I reworked my boat once and it has Styrofoam sheets under the floor. It was just like you said. I didn't weigh it, but it was heavy and waterlogged. I was thinking it was good for flotation in the event that the boat may take on water. Since it's already waterlogged, I doubt it would do much.

    Seem to remember you asking not to add the front deck and no middle bench

      @TRICKEDTINS  15 днів тому +1

      I would much rather not have it in the boat, but I think it was the only rig available without pre order.

    If I bought a boat and brought it to you and paid you would you build out it?
