One of the questions I really wanted to ask actually was what kind of brush do you use, because you get such a good point on them for detail work whilst at the same time the brush has the body to do basecoating/lawyering work. I can't help but keep thinking I could save myself money getting this one brush instead of like 3 brushes for 3 different jobs. x)
I was trying to paint Mephiston's plasma pistol this week and came to you to find out how to do it. 48 hours later, here's the video I need to finish my mini! Great work mate!
Juan, thankyoiu so much for your Fantastic work, Ive learnt so much from you and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate all the effort and work you put into these videos!
I have tried several times to do glowing effects and I haven't gotten it.... I'll be giving your tutorial a go next time (soon) that I've got some glowing effects to do! Thanks Juan!
I've now watched the whole thing, and it is hugely useful! I've been putting off painting some of my figures because I've planned to do some glowy bits on them, but didn't know where to start. Undead Dwarfs first! :-)
So to get this right, drink the paint water to absorb its goodness and become a better painter, and lick your brush to get glow in the dark eyes! (useful for reading and painting in the dark) this is the kind of quality tips you just dont get on other painting channels :)
Probably something like Grey Seer Basilicanum Maybe a brown one to glaze the lower side of some panels and recess shade (wildwood comes to mind) The highlights of light neutral greys. Depends on how light the armour comes out but colours in the line of Dawnstone, Administratum, etc You can end up doing a recess shade extra with a regular brown paint like I did on the Black Legion Video to add some more contrast and some chipping like I did on the World Eaters
The moment your clapped your hands at the beginning a 'Virus & Threat Warning' appeared on my screen. Yes. Yes, you definitely should stop licking your brushes...

Rosemary and Co series 33 size 3, that's basically the brush I use for 95% of my work. I also have a size 2 and 4 for ocasional use
On a serious note this is another amazing, really helpful and inspirational vid

I like how his shirt basically just says "I hate."
You gotta hate a bit. Not focused, abusive hate, just a bit of free loving hate for everyone
Do you think the second method would work pn lightsabers?
Yeah, should work fine
Una pregunta Juan el verde fluo que usas de vallejo es de la gama de Model Color o Game color? Muchas gracias!!
Creo que es Model Color, no sabía ni que había de Game Color.
I really like that elf/sword thing. Can you tell me what it's called, please? Also, I now thoroughly love Megenta.
It's from the old High Elves Swordmasters
Awesome! Thank you so much@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures
in the case of the tau fusion blaster, any recommendations for an orange-red glow?
Yes, watch my Death Korps video or the red plasma glow video (it's the same)
What paints would you recommend for an ‘eavy contrast marine Carcharadon chapter?
Probably something like
Grey Seer
Basilicanum
Maybe a brown one to glaze the lower side of some panels and recess shade (wildwood comes to mind)
The highlights of light neutral greys. Depends on how light the armour comes out but colours in the line of Dawnstone, Administratum, etc

@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures thank you so much for the quick reply! Looks like I’ve got a couple new paint pots to buy then.
Again, you will need to experiment to come up with a good recipe bit that's where I would start
Are you kidding me? I'm gonna start licking my brush.
🤣🤣🤣
My plasma guns are taking notes.
Make sure you give it the information slowly. You don't want to risk it overcharging
HE'S BLUE ON THE INSIDE
DABADI DABADA?
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures i had to google that. Sure glad I did :D
🤣🤣🤣
The moment your clapped your hands at the beginning a 'Virus & Threat Warning' appeared on my screen.
Yes. Yes, you definitely should stop licking your brushes...
