Are Mirek’s StudioVerse plugin combos available in the Waves plugin itself? Have been an enthusiastic user of Abbey Road plugins going back nearly a decade, especially the TG12345. Now y’all have reminded me to pick them out again for sound design and sound destruction purposes 😅👍🏻
That was fun. Definitely need to play with the Redd desks again, and try the send with the Kings mic. Beautiful. I'm also a huge fan of the TG plugins. TG Mastering is fantastic for us masters of our home. Thanks gents!
Warren, Mirek is such a great guy and in the work he loves, he's helping all of us. I love the entire Waves Abbey Road collection, especially the REDD17/37 desk on acoustic guitar and the TG12345 on vocals. Watching Mirek and hearing his impressions was helpful, especially to we home studio amateurs. Now I just need to learn how to make a drum track using samples... Thanks, Warren, as ever.
What WONDERFUL WORK! What a gift to the world this is. This really is “dream come true” stuff. Everyone involved did such fantastic work to bring this all to life. Again, what a gift to us all this is. A musician’s dream. Thanks to all involved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Used quite a few of these plugins and have long been a fan of the NI AR drumkits. Very handy, especially the 60s and 80s ones. The Chambers one is quite handy too and Mrs Mills, for £30 isnt a bad songwriting/upright piano.
Is L / R reversed? Listening to the first piano demo and PN high appears to be on the left rather than the right, or is it intended to be that way. Seems to be just just the CFX... Regardless, it sounds amazing :-)
That's something that has to be booked with Abbey Road and they are booked with sessions 2 years in advance! The occasionally do guided tours, might be best to try and schedule one of those
BTW, I just realized The Frey’s How to Save A Life ends with 9 seconds of just drums in the room. That’s a great way for those using plugin drum loops to use and compare their drum sound to. Warren, you recorded those drums right? Just a tidbit I noticed today.
Although, the drums on HTSALife wasn’t recorded at Abby Road so I guess it’s just a thought that piped in my head as something for others to listen to for a professional drum sound…
I am reluctant to terrorize my neighbouring vicinity with an acoustic drum kit, which otherwise would be my choice, despite this software offering a whole world of micing, kits, and ambience. I am thinking an electronic kit will be an ideal compromise, with a lot of possibilities coupled with this.
As I said above, there's a 2 db overall volume increase, however the clarity is MASSIVE, cleaning up the low mids really helps a lot! Maintains depth while still bringing things forward. The difference is huge and not just a 2db change in peaks.
Waves audio, who tells users they will sell them a perpetual license, then force them into a subscription anyway? Only to change their policy after the largest pushback to ever happen in this community? Their plugins can walk on water, NOT ANOTHER RED CENT!

Hmm not sure? May just have been panned the other way?
I heard that as well.
Mrs Mills piano, legendary
Yes! Legendary
I've been trialing some piano VSTs but I missed Abbey Roads CFX Grand I'm impressed I think I'll get it.
Mirek!!! You Rock!!
Mirek Rocks!
Awesome is there a link to the Yamaha piano plug-in?
Any plans to update the abbey road plugins at waves like they did the SSL EV2?
It would be great if they also modeled the studio 2 room, like IK Multimedia did The Sunset Studios etc
That may well happen!
Great
Thanks ever so much!
@MerrickStyles thank you . Can I pop in to the studios next time I'm in London?
That's something that has to be booked with Abbey Road and they are booked with sessions 2 years in advance! The occasionally do guided tours, might be best to try and schedule one of those
Okay, thank you for letting me know. I'll get booked onto a guided tour.

"24 inch tape . . ." that must have been a beast of a machine. 😎 (25:50)

Haha indeed Andrew!
As always, the louder is better crap....👏👏

Joey Dego who publicly cries about shit that doesn’t really matter.
Good job they recorded the musicians individually, otherwise that lethal virus would have killed us all.
:)
Thanks ever so much
mama of norman bates is an audio engineer
