Camping in Lovely Letaba, Kruger National Park Episode 7

We spent 2 nights camping at Letaba, it was lovely to settle in one place for longer than a night and to have the time to rest in camp in the heat of the day, and oh boy, was it hot! The restaurant and elephant hall at Letaba are great additions to the camp and sitting outside on the deck overlooking the river was a lovely way to spend some time.
The game viewing at Letaba was a little hit and miss but as we were there in early spring we were lucky to not have very much bush stopping game viewing. The river and route to Mingerhout dam were really special and I could have spent quite a bit of time just sitting and waiting for game but the heat was a little too much to bear.
We were starting to get to grips with camping and living out of the land cruiser although we did have quite a problem with the fridge Bushlore had installed in the car, the fridge monitor kept showing that the battery was low and so we had to keep buying ice to top it up. We ended up throwing quite a bit of food away because it had gone bad. (We found out later that we should have just unplugged the monitor and left the fridge on, it would have been really useful to know that at the start of the holiday and not the end)
