Meant to comment on that octopus! That was cool. What a great time of it and some freezer food to boot. Awesome!

Great trip! I live in Homer and the king fishing this fall was excellent. I’m guessing you were fishing Yukon Island or Peterson Point. I might even have seen my boat in your video! My biggest this year was 24 pounds at Peterson Point in late October. Love your videos.

Thank you, the fishing was exceptional. We didn’t get anything near as large as your best. Nice catch.

How nice of you to leave a snack out for the octopus 😂

I wonder how many crabs were in the pot? Certainly there had to some in there and he probably ate those too. That said, it was cool to see one up close.

What a terrific video! It looks like everyone was having a great time. Homer is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Do you fish for halibut there? It was exciting seeing the octopus. I don't know why I am always curious about the weight of the animals you video, but the octopus looked heavy. What do you think he weighed? I enjoyed seeing your wife fish; it reminded me how much I miss fishing in Alaska. :) Maureen

@@ERNurseCEN Thank you for watching and commenting. I couldn’t agree with you more: Homer is absolutely beautiful and the people there are very Alaskan friendly. I would guess the octopus weighed over 60 pounds, it was certainly bigger than average. I’ve been thinking about this trip for a couple of years and making plans in my head, but this exceeded my expectations. I do fish for halibut in Homer a couple times a year. 🐙 🎣
