    Congratulations on an excellent set. I thought dad was going to break out into a happy dance. It is more exciting when the Hali’s are biting. You definitely need to fish that area again. Poor Matt had his hands full. Great video guys. Thanks for taking me along.

      There are other UA-camrs, tho, that talk about money and „the pressure“ all the time while fishing.

    My mom scared the bejesus out of me yesterday.. She rang Me on the way home to tell me that Coastguard had to rescue fisherman off Kodiak. It told her I was fairly sure it wouldn't be you but I had to pull over to make sure. I quickly looked it up and it was another vessel with electrical failure. Everyone got off safe.... So relieved it wasn't you... Thank God for the Coastguard!!

    Are the plan to sell the old boat now?
    My only advice is to look to Norway when it comes to innovative ways to make it easier to handle fish on deck. Open top container on deck with hydraulic bottom and water might be something to look into 👍

    You guys can get a hard plis pipe and cut i n your metal circle and that will help stop your metal wear from the circle and it very much easier to replace just use a plastic water pipe and split it into the circle.

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  Місяць тому

      I think plastic would cut through within a day. The line is extremely abrasive, it's embedded with sand and fine grit from the sea bottom. Even the line itself is very rough and would cut into the metal overtime. A couple rollers would be ideal, maybe when we re-vamp the launch system again.

Was wondering though - this might be a stupid idea but in watching you control the boat while hauling was thinking wouldn't it be a good idea if in that wind break panel cut a section out and attach a heavy duty piece of plexiglass to give you vision forward so you are not having to stick your head out and around? Just wondering

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  2 місяці тому

      Not stupid at all! We definitely plan to do just that with some Lexan. The wind break isn't actually finished yet had to put it on hold and go fishing! But we'll certainly add some windows in that side, as well as the wave wall on the other side.

I can't even do the sport that i love ( Lawn Bowl's ) as i am a Club Coach here in Hastings 3915 , Victoria , Australia ...
    I will be watching more of your content as i am only allowed to walk a certain distance , then my Lower back starts to hurt more , if i go a longer distance i have to use my Caliper Crutches ... The height it actually pretty similar at least when dry. As we get a load on Fish Tale squats pretty quickly. I have switched the camera up a few times since this one, I think I'm dialing in on the ideal filming spot.

    how does your guys grading system work when u deliver to a plant? cause in canada its graded numbers 1-3 depending on how clean the fish are and if there are any slices on the inside of the fish even a little poke with a knife makes it a number 2 fish

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  2 місяці тому

      Same thing here, when there is damage to the fish, or you gashed the fillet while gutting, they'll #2 it. On the pricing side they grade it 10/20, 20/40, 40+ lbs. Each weight class you get a different price for, normally smalls being worth less than large.

      The Emerald Isle is a fine sea boat! A bit rolly, but any boat is going to in larger seas. Once we get stabilizers on it'll be awesome. Never caught anyone hauling ours, its illegal to haul other's gear.

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  2 місяці тому

      We're just trying new things. They say the if the fish doesn't fight it won't build up lactic acid in the muscles, resulting in a higher quality product. Also being more humane aspect to it. The bat didn't work out too great, but have since started brain spiking them, works a lot better and is easier on Matt.

      Do you mean when I snap them on? I don't pick any particular direction, just whichever way they land in my hand.

      It's a variation of a perfection loop. I'll try to show it again in slow motion next time we're out.

    How much fuel do you guys have to use in a trips

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  2 місяці тому

      We're not sure yet, ultimately it depends on how long we're out for. This last trip we fueled up 150 gallons for 3 days. But we ran a lot of bottom too, so there are a few variables to consider.
