Konnichiwa Jez san. Oh dear, this explained why Eren's behaviour changed. The kiss on Historia's hand made him see what he DID. Eren CAN'T see the future. The future ALREADY happened. The Attack titan's power is you're able to see the future titan HOLDER. Kruger, saw Grishia's and Eren's memories. Eren DOESN'T see or MENTIONED about WHO'S HAVING the Attack titan OF THE FUTURE.
"Why Grishia sees Zeke?" so you ask. It's everytime Eren's BEHIND Grishia, is the time Grishia can see Zeke. Eren's EYES are Grishia's eyes in away. That's why Eren HAS TO BE behind Grishia.
Remember what Kruger said to Grishia in season 3? Especially the part about saving Mikasa and Armin, Grishia ALSO said that to Eren when he was TRYING TO INJECT the syrum to Eren (s1). So it was actually Eren telling KRUGER to tell GRISHIA.. who then told Eren to save Mikasa and Armin. 😁😄😆😅🤣😂 oh yeah!!! Amazing huh

Basically, Grisha was peaking into Eren's memories. In the crystal cave, Eren is seeing Grisha's memories. Grisha, in turn, is seeing Eren's memories, watching that same scene. Basically the past and the future looking at each other. But in Eren's case, he can selectively show Grisha his memories. That's why Grisha never saw the scene when Carla was eaten by Dina. Also, Eren's line when he compelled Grisha was the same line Kruger gave.

Not only is Eren as the founding titan influencing the past only because they were in the paths in the memories when they made contact with Zeke. From the start of the Attack Titan to always be in hiding after the Great Titan War until he passes it onto himself. So he also influences his past self. Back in 3x21 it was mentioned that the trait of the Attack Titan is to fight for freedom. But in reality that was Eren's personality influence and his desire for freedom. The power actually is to be able to peek in the future memories of the Attack Titan. And yes Eren saw himself getting his dad to kill the Reiss family when he kissed Historia's hand. Thats why his face was so shocked. That is why at the end of season 3 at the beach when he points is basically because he knows part of the future to come, but not everything. Only what the future version of him is showing himself. Episodes 19, 20 and 21 are so epic and all unique.
When u realise eren made his dad kill Frieda and the rest of the kids but let rod reiss go so that he can touch Historia. Thus he could use the founding titans power and see his dads memories killing the royals and showing that he is influencing his dads decision. Good job isayama😂

Eren can share his memories to previous holders of the Attack Titan. When he talked to Grisha he was unable to hear him; instead Grisha remembered Eren speaking those words in that moment.
Unfortunately this line of reasoning is unable to explain why he was able to hug Zeke, but I don't care if there is no in world justification as that moment always brings tears to my eyes
Eren hug him in the coordinate world , that s the only explanation i think.
I think it's just a mistake from the studio when they animated that physical touch movement cause in manga it was only a picture
we can see physical touch, but we don't know if they are actually feeling it... anyway grisha is seeing through eren's eyes and he is standing behind grisha for that

basically, the thing with Grisha seeing Eren and Zeke is slightly complex. in the memories Eren accidentally discovered that he could share his memory with the past holders. from then on, he takes the lead. so basically, throughout this episode what was happening was that Eren sent his memories to Grisha in the past and then since all titan shifters can access memories of the past holders, he got to see the future.
Also, Grisha was not actually able to hug Zeke, it was only for the audience to get an idea of what was happening. it was all inside Grisha's head as he was seeing the memory through Eren's eyes. it must have been so horrifying for him to not only see the future but also seeing himself. he was seeing things with his own eyes as well as through Eren's perspective because Eren included himself in Grisha's memories. Eren manipulating Grisha in reality was just a voice inside his head reminding him of his resolve as well a visual of him, looking at himself. A nice thing in this episode was also that Grisha considered Mikasa as his daughter.

Lastly Eren might not have shown any expression but there were only two memories where Eren himself lingered. one was of his mother and the other, of his moment with Mikasa, giving her the scarf. It was the only time he didn't move even when Zeke was leaving. TEren.
An explanation of what really happened in this episode, I think it is worth to read ( no spoilers ) :
Two thousand years ago, the titans were born from the powers of Ymir and in the previous episode, Zeke told us that she is a slave of the royal family for unknown reasons ( it is ahead in story ). In this episode, Grisha tells us that the attack titan was created to fight the king's self-righteousness and that Frieda (the royal family) was unaware of it. In other words, Ymir would have created the attack titan behind the back of the royal family.
We know that each primordial can see the memories of its predecessors .But, in this episode, we learned that the attack titan has the power to read the memories of its future holders. This power, only Eren discovered it ( or got aware that attack titan have this power! ).By mistake, when Eren kissed Historia's hand, he saw his father memories ( what he saw and how is coming later… ).
In the episode, Grisha does not see Zeke, he sees himself, facing Zeke, from Eren's point of view. To be precise, Grisha got aware that the memories were of future since he saw himself facing zeke. This happened just because Eren shared his memories, by "mistake", revealing the presence of Zeke. From this moment, Grisha start understanding the power of the attack titan.
You can see Eren as a camera where he can choose, whenever he wants, to share his current vision to his predecessors. Then, to "know" the future, he has to share his vision to the predecessors and then see in Grisha's memories what's going to happen.
There can only be one future (obviously). So when Eren decided to share his memories to his predecessors which suited him the most for his goal achievement. And after achieving it he shares the memories by using the founders power ( which he got by ymir ).
When Eren shows his memories, he transmits them to all his predecessors simultaneously. Eren was saying "TATAKAE" in front of the mirror ( lol what an epic scene ) , he was actually sharing his memories and using the mirror so that his predecessors can see him. So, the first person who gets the attack titan two thousand years ago and sees Eren telling him "fight, if you don't fight, you can't win". Apart from this person, all those who inherited this titan thought they were seeing the memories of the first owner, when in fact, they were seeing the memories of the last owner of this titan.
Another thing: Now, we know why Kruger said "To save Mikasa, Armin, and everyone else, you must see it through.". In fact, everyone who had the attack titan knew they had to save Mikasa and Armin, but they didn't know it was the future.
In other words "the story is written from the end." Eren by sending memories writes everything , to be clear, the moment the attack titan was created by Ymir, the whole story was written and could not be changed ( since the future was already decided and fate cannot be changed ). Inevitably, the story was going to the future that Eren saw, and no one could change a thing ( from 2000 years ).
The more u think the more story is actually a paradox for example ; Grisha steals the founding titan --> Grisha gives both titans to Eren -> Eren can attack Marley -> He "kidnap" Zeke -> they "touch" each other -> they can travel in Grisha's memory -> Eren manipulate him to steal the founding titan -> ... (loop)
Another paradox:
Eren ordered Grisha to spare Rod Reiss -> So he is going to look for his daughter (Historia) -> he will get killed by her -> She will become the new Queen of paradis -> Eren will kiss her hand -> So he looks at his father's memories and see himself ordering to Grisha to spare Rod Reiss -> ... (loop)
Past and future happen at the same time, both time affects the other

Makes perfect sense
I don’t think that was eren. These lines of dialogue comes from grisha when he first turned eren into a titan(you can go back to season 1 the episode where eren armen mikasa are cornered by the military after eren first titan appearance)
So my thought is that its grisha memory and either grisha send it to kroger or its just that kroger saw them. Non the less its grisha’s and not eren.

@has it is ErenYaegar who made Kruger say that. Grisha did say something similar, yes, he said "in order to save armin, mikasa you have to master this power" , but Kruger said "in order to save armin, mikasa you need to see the mission through"
- the reason is, those lines of thought which Kruger speaks to Grisha is ErenYaegar manipulating for the purpose of ErenYaegar to be "born into this world". That's why Kruger says "build a family" at the start of this conversation.
- the reason why ErenYaegar decides to send this thought of mentioning "Armin, Mikasa" is to allow Grisha to figure out the ability of the Attack Titan slowly, which would make him go through with the mission and realise that it's an eventuality no matter how reluctant he becomes.

Think of it this way. Grisha is basically looking through erens lens(the future) throughout this episode. so literally whatever erens sees now in the present is what grisha sees in the past. This is the reason everytime eren is standing directly behind grisha facing zeke is when grisha is able to see future zeke. We also see that in the first episode when grisha is showing eren the basement key, he is looking directly at future eren instead of young eren like the original first ep suggests.
