Thank you so much! I certainly hope so! Initially it will be slow because I'm going to see how it does at 65hp and 140ft/lbs of torque! I'll turn up the boost and fuel later once I figure out the intercooler setup!
Thank you! I do wonder if I had just done what I initially planned to do with the Wrangler would it have been running already? However I'm getting really close so I think all of this extra effort will be worth it!
Hey Brannon I thought I responded to this comment weeks ago and apparently I didn't! I also have not had great luck removing the vents. I think the plastic just gets dried out from the sun over time. I really just try to take my time and be as careful as possible when trying to get mine out!
hey bud, i’m halfway through this project... i wonder ... do i have to remove steel frame from interior before removing dash panel ? seems like extra work if not ?
A legitimate question and and the answer is yes. I'm aiming to have it back on the road running before the end of the year. Biggest hurdle right now is wrapping up the fuel lines and automatic transmission coolant lines!
Hey Matt, just saw your question! so far it's held up very well. I still don't have the Wrangler running but I have worked around the dashboard for several hours with no issues!
Hey wvumaniac87 thank you so much for the comment! I really like LJs honestly, I have a 05 LJ Rubicon as well that is black on black with the 6-speed manual and I really do wish it was the 4-speed automatic instead, I could see how that would be a great daily driver!
Awesome work mate, this is going to be so awesome when done

good job man. excited to see the TJ project progress.
Thank you so much Josh! I'm itching to drive the Wrangler again soon!
This is going to be the dopest jeep ever

Rusty that was awesome and vey helpful. Thanks.
Your welcome, I'm glad it was helpful!
Dash looks really good!
Thank you! Still need to get the rest of it back together and install all the digital gauges, aiming to do that next week if everything goes smoothly!
Good Job Grant, great to see a quality build
Thank you so much Ted! I've tried to the best with what I have!
Also looking to make my interior tan. Going to watch your build with interest.
Stuart Houston what’s with the tan I don’t want tan anymore I want black
John Lonian It’s warmer and feels nicer. just a preference. goes better with the tan and green seats
I have tan as well. It's fading pretty bad on the top. Thinking of painting mine black
Rusty, I have been trying to find a video on how to remove and replace the vents. 3 of the 4 vents in my '97 TJ are broken and I need to replace them.

Yo I had a tan interior just waiting for ya … I would’ve gladly switched for the black
How as the paint held up? Is it easy to scratch and see streaks of the original color?
I have one or two scratches but they were completely my fault. No streaks that I have noticed yet either.
Gereat video update
Thank you so much Miguel! I'm aiming to get my Wrangler running again next week hopefully unless some unforeseen complications crop up!
what tools are needed to take that entire dash out
I believe a T50 Torx, a 13mm and a 10mm and then you can pull the dash. There is also a bunch of wiring you need to unclip for plastic clips as well.
Good stuff! Do you know how many cans of each product were used? Thanks
I'm not sure Bruno, I want to say for the doors and the dash maybe 6 ~ 7 cans of the color and 3 ~ 4 cans of the adhesive promoter.
@@RustyAutoholicGuy thanks mate
Still have the 97-03 panels?
Unfortunately no I do not sorry.
hey bud, i’m halfway through this project... i wonder ... do i have to remove steel frame from interior before removing dash panel ? seems like extra work if not ?
No you do not, I removed mine so I could paint it easier
yes.....But will it ever run down the road?

Hi.. nice work.. just wondering how the paint is holding up with scuffs etc? Want to change from black to khaki in my tj
Hey Matt, just saw your question! so far it's held up very well. I still don't have the Wrangler running but I have worked around the dashboard for several hours with no issues!
I had a 2006 Unlimited in that orange color. Sold it because it was also an automatic but made a really good daily driver for several years.

I have a tan interior I'm wanting to paint black 😂 we could have traded
Maybe but unless you also had a right hand drive I probably would’ve still had to paint my interior.
@@RustyAutoholicGuy eh... little duct tape and drill a few holes we can convert it right over
@@trinityblair677 HAHAHAHAHA I'm sure no one would notice at all!
You put the steering column on the wrong side!
Ahhhh I thought I put something on wrong 😏
Niiiice🤔
