His discussion on self, anxiety, and avoiding being present was so true and accurate. I recently had a mental health breakthrough very much like what he was saying. I was shown how ugly my behavior can be and then I sat with it without allowing myself to go into guilt / self pity. I realized that I almost always had experienced guilt as self-pity with a desire to be rescued from my guilt. I learned to sit with my shadow without self-pity, and found a sobering sense of “wow….I really need to change.” I felt a feeling of grief over the next three days, and after that, I found self-compassion.

    • @theordinary1059
      @theordinary1059 3 роки тому +6

True. People will always use drugs, there is no avoiding it and the war on drugs illustrates this perfectly. So instead of demonizing and alienizing drugs we should teach people how not to die and what risks are involved. Knowledge is > Ignorance. When you understand drugs, not only do you realize that so very many of them are pointless for you to use because of risks including the potential for addiction, you also become capable of helping less educated individuals and you even become capable of saving lives.
Drugs are always used for a purpose, just like all actions we take we do so because of tangiable reasons.
Instead of having people use drugs as a means to escape or delay suffering, we should teach them how to work on the actual cause of the suffering.
Remove the cause (stress, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, other forms of suffering that also have their own, real causes) → remove its effect (drug abuse)
Knowledge is power and understanding how addictions work along with the dangers that certain drugs have will always have a positive impact on humanity.
It is the fact that drugs are so shrouded in mystery that leads to people making mistakes that too often end up being fatal.
I'm dropping a tab of around 150 micrograms of what my friends belive to be LSD or a neighbouring molecule (we've bought from the dealer before and the tabs are tasteless so it's unlikely that it's nbome) in a 2-3 days with the intent of being horribly honest with myself and release a storm of bottled-up emotions. I have supressed my emotions ever since I was little and whenever life gets tough I start doing it again which leads to more bad decisions that lead to more unwanted emotions which leads to further numbness and further capacity for mistakes so hopefully I can reconcile with the past, be an emotional mess for some time, tackle my masturbation addiction that's started to take hold once again and once again live life on my own terms.
I'm sick and tired of distracting myself with youtube, twitch, video-games and porn. I don't want to hide from the disgusting reality behind it all anymore.
I'm sort of going in to this all with the expectation to crush my ego and I'm trying to reach insight and truth. Complete surrender. Cut through the bullshit.
Wish me luck boys, hopefully I make it past the come-up, but if it gets too bad I'll just pop an anti-psychotic (trip-killer) that my friend gave me.
      Love and peace

I spill the words out of my mouth "im doing good hanging in there" with what felt like the most psychopathic smile ive ever put on. she asks "what's wrong" looking confused and concerned. i tell her im peaking on some acid. she goes "oh rly? what's that like? ive never tried anything like that before" i go on to try to explain how its pretty much unexplainable."shes like "and you are tripping right now!?" i was so far gone i couldn't help but laugh a hardy belly laugh and say"OH-ho yeah" she says "i couldn't tell to be honest, you seem so present and articulate" i continue laughing harder she sat there for a bit looking at me until i got up. then she was like "nice meeting you" and i just stumbled off. . . wait was she flirting with me? oh well lol

Mescaline adam just wrapped me in a warm blanket of confidence that I've been lacking.... A week ago I took 7 tabs of lsd because I was having a rough time... And it was the BEST lsd trip I've ever had... Ever.... And I took it because I was really stressing out about life.... About things that I shouldn't have been stressing out about.... And this lsd trip changed me for the better I believe... And what I believe it was was I went into such a deep meditative state while I was peeking.... Introspection with an expanded mind... I found out how to truly meditate and I can't tell you how much what Adam was talking about resonated with me around 25 min through 35min.... Being able to accept that what is going on IS what is happening and living life in that moment vs trying to force yourself to be what you are not at the time... So hard to explain but ugh I freaking love life... Through thick and thin... Life is so beautiful and im glad I'm still growing... Thank you Adam.

I related to the talk about confidence. Confidence is a key component to being successful in life. I have spent hundreds of hours telling myself to be confident. But telling myself these things only encouraged me to pretend that I’m confident. True confidence comes in the form of experience and self worth.

Your talk on confidence and the difference between real confidence and putting on an act was very insightful. I've found myself acting confident durring different experiences only to have those experiences rip my mask off and I'm left with nothing but fear. It's important to know what real confidence is and how to actually be confident instead of acting confident. This is something I must work on before trying DMT. I'm sure even if I am confident going into DMT I won't be when it hits me like a Mac truck but it's got to be better going in with real confidence rather than a mask of confidence.

I had LSD, mushrooms and peyote in one sitting one time, maybe a little vodka also.
I was so outside the realm of reality, my consciousness was on another plane of existence, the hallucinations experienced that day will never leave me, they're apart of me now.
Without a moment's notice it can all come flooding back.
I don't recommend it just anyone, you have to be really prepared for an experience like that.

One slight critique from a chemist. Colorimetric test are ok for testing if you have the chemical in question but its not something I'd rely on for purity testing. For tests of purity you'd want to run multiple tests using instruments such as hplc, ms, gc, etc.
Also on a side note most plant alkoid sublingual absorption can be increased by using a base. Many ethnic groups use lime aka calcium hydroxide but that will destroy your teeth over time. Baking soda aka sodium bicarbonate will do the same thing but won't destroy your teeth.

Filming the trip really helps less experienced individuals understand what happens to ur thought process when taking these hallucinagin's. Your mind expands and deepens. Rather than your thought process being like a straight road it's more like a winding path branching off to other paths all containing new possibilities and ideas to be explored, yet all connected at the same time. A journey to arrive at however many destinations or conclusions as u wish because what reason is there to stop at one when there are more to be discovered. Your mind becomes fluid and doesn't get entangled or tripped up in things that don't make sense and rather tries to work around them.
