Great video and good work. Just wanted to add that the Ashanti did have horses and even formed a cavalry (a terrible one). The tsetse fly nullified horse breeding but horse riding was very common. Okomfo Anokye played another important role when he drew the Ashanti constitution in the 18th c. with a total of 77 law codes.
Also, it would have been great to mention the Peace Party vs Imperial Party that dominated the Ashanti politics. In the 19th century, the Peace Party managed to influence Ashanti to seek trade and peace over war. For a long time, Ashanti rarely waged war. The Imperial Party came back in the 1870s when the state was failing because it was believed peace had made the state weak.
Finally, the Ashanti King today is just ceremonial. Constitutional powers are zero.

N they used to call him Kwame come n see
When okomfo anokye was born stranger things use to happen he can disappear while he was on mat as small boy
