    Sorry to hear about the old seat. This "first impression" is perfect timing. I just saw this synidicated seat on the "build your own bike" portal on the Indian website and was wondering how it looks and feels.

    This seat wasn't an option when I bought my 2020 Scout Bobber. I had read and heard what a disaster the stock seat was, so I right away purchased the pathetically misnamed Comfort Seat. After a few weeks, just out of curiosity, I put the stock seat on and realized how incredibly uncomfortable it was, as within 30 minutes it was impossible to enjoy the bike. With the "Comfort Seat" the time between enjoyment and agony was stretched from 30 minutes to 45.
    I went on a journey to read the reviews and listen to the comments about all the options, and in time I bit the bullet and ordered a custom Corbin solo seat. I loved the fact that I could choose the leather, the stitching, etc. I had a conversation with the folks at Corbin and took the plunge. By far, of all the upgrades I have done, this was by far the best decision. It is a wonderfully constructed seat, with excellent attention to detail, and the order was completed in what I thought was a timely manner. It is a comfortable and good looking seat, and the comfort level cannot be compared to the anything that I received from Indian.
    The seat you just installed looks great. I hope that Indian has learned a bit about rider comfort, and has listened to the customers and made a seat that is worth the money.

      Wow, thanks for the in-depth comment and I share your pain. The corbin is an amazing seat, no doubt and corbins are some of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat on. I do think Indian is listening to the customers and I think this syndicate is a step in the right direction. I'll be riding this weekend for a bit and we'll see how she handles a few hours in the saddle. Ride safe!

    When you posted on your IG, of the sliced up seat, I was like holy crap! Pretty fast turn around time for getting that replacement. I do like the look of the step up seats. I ride a '16 Scout, and my seat is the Mustang Touring saddle. It is night and day difference from the stock set. I rode Harleys for 20 years, and the first thing I always did was change out the stock seat, before I did anything else. I make my bike comfortable, before I consider power plant upgrades. I ain't got any extra padding on my boney butt, so it lets me know in a hour if it's not happy. Great video and love the look of that seat on your beautiful Bobber! Ride and stay safe down there in Big Texas!

    The seat looks pretty rad man.. hope is everything you wish for.. I got myself the IM Comfort seat back in November, and it's a big improvement from the stock seat. I still wanna put it to a test on a long trip lol. Best of luck man, thanks for sharing.

      Right on! Get out and ride that sucker somewhere far away. In my opinion, doing a log trip on the bobber has a very raw experience and the journey is the important part.

    Still got the stock seat here! Thanks for the review, especially given your experience with the Saddleman and Mustang. It looks awesome on your bike, but trying to picture the black Syndicate on my Maroon Bobber. I like the way the maroon looks in the stock seat, but would like/need to know what "comfort" feels like. Also, I'm a bit of an aesthetic minimalist... So, basically, I'm torn and wasted space on your comments section. Joy!

    • @dadwithabike
      @dadwithabike  2 роки тому +1

      Hahaha - all good. Well with the release of the Indian Scout Rogue they released a 1-up version of the Syndicate seat too if you are that minimalist rider. I think the aesthetics of a black seat and the black grips would work well ... but I'm also color blind so there's that - lol

    Did your seat come with the bolts? I just got mine and excitedly removed the bolts to the rear lights and fender, took off the stock seat, and
    placed the Syndicate Seat on, before realizing I didn't have the bolts to attach it!

    I’m on my third seat. Had the stock the Indian comfort and currently using a Corbin Brave. The Corbin my opinion is massively over priced and over rated. It didn’t come with any mounting bolts and the mounting brackets were badly finished. I had to get them powder coated myself as whatever was used literally wiped off with a cloth to expose bare metal. The Corbin has great lower back support but the padding in the bottom of the seated area is pretty thin and I get numb balls after about 50 miles of riding. The Indian comfort is actually more comfortable to sit on but has zero lower back support.
    If you liked the Jared Mees have a look at the Drag Specialties Bobber Solo Seat.

    I'm mainly looking into this seat for my Fiance since she likes riding with me. The regular scout bobber passenger seat is pretty stiff even after half a year or so - is it pretty soft back there? Trying to choose between this or just bite the bullet and go Corbin for hers and my own seat.

    Hey man, are you still running the syndicate 2 up seat on your bobber? If so, have you had a passenger on the bike with you and what's their take on the seat as far as being comfortable. Also how long would you say you can ride with the syndicate seat until you start feeling like you want to stop. Looking at getting one of but also looking for more feedback on it before I pull the trigger on one. You know as well as I do that the stock seat and pillion seat sucks. I just did a 220 ride this weekend and was so grateful when the gas light came on so I could get off the bike. Anyway let me know. Thanks in advance...
