The Birthday Massacre I love your voice, Chibi, it is beautiful. I love the music you all do, I love the artwork as well. I have listened to every album you all have made, the first one was "Imagica" this one, "Superstition" was the second I listened to. I love each and every single one. Oceania is my favorite song on this album. I would love to know and be honored if you each told me your favorite song on this album. Thank you all for your music and for your time.
And it is incredible how consistent they are, I got to know them in last january and I know very well every all of the 9 full-lengths now, each one of them is filled up with gem songs
So glad these guys haven't lost their original sound. Just overall better composition / sound production and Chibi's singing has come a long way since the old stuff. Still love that too, though!
Yeah, I agree. Been listening to them since 2002 around their Violet album and I love that they've kept the same amazing atmosphere while keep it fresh every album. One of my fav bands, absolutely love how much they've grown.
They have so much musical chemistry it's crazy. Not one bad album or song. When they're together to create music, it always ends being harmonious. They're all on the same musical wavelength! I don't know! Hard to explain how much I love and adore this band!!!
@@stefanomagaddino632 It's nice to imagine that, but I beg to differ. I'm Canadian, and I was a teen in the '80s. I wasn't a goth, but some goth friends introduced me to "alternative" music, i.e. stuff that you didn't hear all the time, and only saw on late night video shows (e.g. Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Clannad, Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Wall of Voodoo, Shriekback, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Dead Can Dance, The Cult, The Cure, The Mission, Love and Rockets). I know a lot about the mainstream and alternative artists of the time, and I've been listening to TBM since 2007. I don't think they would have been any more popular in the '80s than they are now. They are too creative, too original and unique, too true to their sound and vision, and too goth. And frankly, too Canadian: besides Bryan Adams and Celine Dion, most "popular" Canadian '80s artists were only popular within Canada. TBM would have definitely been "alternative," about as well-known as that other stupendous Canadian electronic/synth-rock band of the time, Skinny Puppy: the secret treasure of small groups of real music lovers, scattered across the country.
Met them on the Hide and Seek tour in Atlanta. Great people and might I add they all had awesome personas. The vibe they gave out as a band is one I've never felt before. Just fucking awesome!
They will never know how important they are to me. The first time I listened to them was in 2005, and I was just a kid in Brazil. I got instantly hooked. My life was sh*t back then (still kinda is), and their songs helped me through a lot. I still have my original copy of Violet, and every time I listen to it, it's like a trip back in time. I really love the mood their songs bring me. Love u TBM
The most consistent band on the planet. Been listening since 2005 and not much changed since then. I'll probably never see you guys live since i'm at the other side of the planet but i just wanna say you guys are a huge part of my music taste. Cheers from Malaysia!
In Toronto, some of the band came through the front door and had to move through the crowd to get to the back. I said "Goodluck" we they passed by and Rainbow turned around and fist bumped me and said "Thanks, enjoy the show." Made the event 10000x better :D It's the little things. My favourite live show to date. Great song, great band :)
I am heartbroken. Why? Because I fell in love with this breathtaking song, decided to research this amazing band, only to find out that they have been around since 1999. I just discovered them a few months ago. I could have been drowning in their beauty in my younger days as a teen and in my early 20s. I am pissed. This song is so haunting.
As a teenager who found this music, you missed out. Being 15 and finally coming into my own ability to recognize music, then hearing this, forever spoiled me when it comes to rock music. I’ll always compare to this now
one of the things i love about this band is that, there are some musicians you love for their sound in general, but there are some musicians whose music has such a powerful sound, and it literally gives off an actual energy you can feed off of when you listen to it, The Birthday Massacre has that power, they have that ability. it's incredible! i could drift into sleep listening to this song. imagine what those guys in that room must've felt while playing the song, must've been surreal
Yes! I heard a few songs, but when I actually started listening to the band I became enamored with the sound. My soul felt these vibrations that put in like another plane. It's just music, yeah, but it made me feel something. I was captivated.
Everytime I listen to y'all I get f***ing GOOSEBUMPS! Superstition may be my favorite album but I love everything you do. So much peace and love from New York! :)
"Superstition" I walk out to the edge of the lake, eyes following the water as it washes my convictions away. He stops me when I’m starting to pray. He says, “Intuition is awakening suspicion.” He says, “My tradition is the art of superstition.” I wake up in the light of the fire, eyes burning like the ashes in submission to the heat of desire. He tells me not to preach to the choir. He says, “This condition is a slow decomposition.” He says, “My religion is the practice of sedition.” He says He says, “Intuition is awakening suspicion.” He says, “My tradition is the art of superstition.” “This condition is a slow decomposition.” He says, “My religion is the practice of sedition.”
Gives me the chills this song and video. I love it so much at 2:40 I love the zoom in and they're rockin out.. the way you feel it in your bones it moves you. I love your music and been a fan for 13 years. 💜🖤💜🖤
+Mike Parra Their live shows are just awesome. I recall a mixed event (i.e. all ages but if you had a wrist band or some such you could order alcohol) at the Mod Club in Toronto and there where these two teenage girls in the crowd with, I assume, one of their mothers chaperoning them and Chibi jumps off the stage in the middle of one of the songs and goes right up to these girls and sings directly for them. I assume the girls where ecstatic to have that kind of specialized attention. Kudo's too the fans/crowd too as they pretty much just got out of the way and formed a semi-circle with space to allow Chibi to make this sort of specialized gesture.
+Jeremy Mac Donald oh my god, that is so frickin' cute! i think that's one of my new favorite tbm concert stories now :') chibi continues to be the best ever
every time I listen to this song it's like a restart. those who composed this song, used emotions. because I can feel it. is it a new kind of music? if so, that's great. they put feelings in the music, so that we can feel them
Such a good band, I’ve been listening to them since I was 15 and I’m 30 now. Been to 9 shows and met them a bunch of times in the crowd and after shows. Of All the bands I have seen live, the birthday massacre is the only one were the members have stayed wholesome and dedicated to their style of music and fans. Always nice and never have failed me musically. I will NEVER quit this band. Seeing them in a April this year, so cheers to another! Boom.
Крутая группа! Их песни могут быть атмосферными саундтреками к фильмам, или к играм. И сами по себе треки очень атмосферны. Есть в этом какая-то магия)
Birthday Massacre has such a beautiful mixture of sounds and emotions I love Chibis voice it's so dream like and the lyrics are very interesting and thought provoking
Wow, after so many years I am still grateful i discovered you guys. You have no idea how much of an impact the band had on my life. I first listened to you guys in middle school (6th grade). I believe I was around 13 and I am now 20 about to start my third year in college. My family was super religious when i was a kid and frowned upon the way i wanted to dress and the music i listened to. however, you guys inspired me to remain true to myself. after years of constant arguments over how i wasn't "normal", they were finally starting to be more accepting when i entered high school and it was the best experience of my life. I honestly hope i get to meet you guys so i can express my gratitude. You guys hold a special place in my heart and will always remain my favorite band.
I feel the same way, except it's with MSI. Some people will always think we're weird or immature and then they won't take us seriously..but it's the one thing that makes us happy and their opinions shouldn't drive the way we live our lives.
Dear Birthday Massacre, 2 years ago i heard your Music for the first time in a Music store. I asked the seller who you are and bought the Superstition Album. 1 day later i bought the Walking with Strangers one and in a few days i bought all your Albums inluding the Live Album. From that day on i hear your Music mostly then other Music and i enjoy every, really every song from you. No matter if i`m Walking along the beach in my vacation or just lying on my Sofa. Thank you very, very much for your great Music and i hope for more to come. Thanks!!!
Yo recién conoci este grupo el 2021... Muy tarde, se volvió de inmediato mi top 5 de mejores grupos, no hay dia que no escuche sus increíbles canciones, lo único que lamento es no haber conocido antes a este grupo...
@@gigilaco That's a good track too. I've listened to several of their newer tracks as well as the older ones and I'm impressed with Chibis voice progression. And they also kept the same overall style which makes you appreciate them more. Some bands try to evolve into the "current" trend of sound instead of keeping their originality so TBM definitely deserves more recognition.
You were part of my adolescence. You are a fundamental part of my life. I love the sound that you expand through time, always being faithful to your style. 13 years being your fan. I love you very much. Thank you for existing in my life. ♡ Greetings from Colombia.
When this album dropped, this instantly became my favorite song. I was able to catch tickets for a concert in March 2022 and Superstition being the opener made me so so happy! 💜
I absolutely love how this video is just a "rehearsal" video. No huge production, or story behind the video. Just six amazing people playing amazing music!
I'm like 48 I've been listening to them since I was in my later twenties and still listening to them very awesome band and I love their energy to servicing about them awesome
It has been almost 10 years since I first dug up this band on Google video. Yet each release still manages to capture a sense of nostalgia for a time I never lived, that only music of this purity can convey with it's atmosphere. Thank you for the new music video, I can't wait to see you all again someday, and of course, hear any future releases.
well i guess it took me a good decade to really appreciate your music as a whole. its very well done. and helps when your soul feels like theres absolutely no where to go.
The awesomeness has not subsided in 17 years. I have bought every single one of their CDs. As in, the actual discs, not just the downloads. Amazing how they just keep coming up with more great material year after year.
+RemlitQueen Mine was Blue as well.I was watching an amv of Kadaj from Final Fantasy 7 advent children and this song was there. That was a long time ago but ever since I've been in love with this band :)
The author of that mod (likely Zer0morph) likely got the idea from a fan-made Bloodlines music video that came out shortly after the game was released. I was also introduced to TBM from that fan-made Bloodlines video. Another friend of mine who does Source Film Maker "art" using Bloodlines models often plays TBM in his live streams while he's working. No doubt quite a few people were introduced to this band through Bloodlines videos and mods.
I'm friends with him on fb and asked him about the song. He said someone in the Team Camarilla forum turned him onto them and decided it needed to be played in The Asylum. I think he also uses it in The Final Nights, which is also awesome.
This is now firmly one of my favourite songs. I love the video (the artwork on the walls is pretty awesome too) and i love the song to bits, cant stop listening to it. THM have become a favourite of mine after me finding them recently through communion after dark and ive now rushed out and bought all of the albums (hard to find in the UK but you can get them if you look hard enough). Having looked back at earlier vids and pics i love that the look is maturing and the changes are really suiting the various band members. Im sure i left a comment on this vid before but its disappeared. Forgive me if im repeating myself. AWESOME SONG, AWESOME VID, AWESOME BAND
This is my first time listening to this band and it's so dam awesome I love it. The band is just so freaking awesome and the singer omg 😳 her voice just blows me away. There music came up after listening to a small type o negative song than they came on. I'm just totally in shock at how great this whole group is. Love ya guys and keep on making more music 🤘🏽😆🤘🏽
My boyfriend and I already bought our meet and greet tickets for hollywood in November :) We're SO excited to see you! I hope you continue to make music for a very long time. You guys are too good to quit anytime soon
+KyleDances I checked their dates out, when the hell are they coming back somewhere close to New York, I live in NJ and no one comes here, people come here to die XD
I love how those dark eyes glow like embers in a dying fire. Such passion there, so much unspoken but translated into words we can understand. I hope Chibi never loses that fire, and if she does, that she knows to retire.
Guys you are the Best!!! So mush ENERGY coming from EVERY your song!!! And your performance!!!I Honored see your live club show and talk to you PERSONALLY and hug you!!! I have placard signed by you!!! Thank you for your MUSIC and MASTERPIESCES !!! LOVE YOU ALL! Hats down! You are Best Canadian Band ...... THANK YOU GUYS ..........!
I've been listening to TBM since I was 15, now I'm 23 years old, I've already passed my Gothic and melancholic phase, I'm going to marry and have a new life, but TBM is still part of one of the most important phases of my life where I found who I am. Today I still listen to TBM and I have a lot of respect, gratitude, honor and of course, for being a wonderful band with incredible songs. Time passes quickly ..

Still awsome 😁😁😁😁😁
I'm following you and your dream music since 12 years!
Will do. Thanks for everything.
You guys will always rock, the one and only Chibi will always be beautiful no matter time goes by.
This band is severely underrated, and has been for years.
Severely underated..I so agree
💯👍
👍 agreed 💯
Especially this album
Not even. Everyone loves them.
This band is one of the world's greatest secrets.
they truly are 🖤
I love everyone that knows it💜💜💜
The Birthday Massacre... wow... I just have no words to accurately describe how amazing they are. ❤❤❤
it's painful how incredible music like this isn't more popular. it deserves to be.
1.5M views is popular.
Populär oder nicht!Ich steh mirs drauf
I think genuinely, at least the people listening to it is not thinking of it as just popular music. But actually soaking in an appreciating it.
That's a good point essded
They deserve the fame anf fortune
But i kind of like having them as a niche thing, once mainstream normies come in, the community is ruined
it hurts to live in world where this kind of music isn't appreciated the way it deserved to be.
it is
Everything deep magic and powerful what have a Soul is not appreciated in this degenerate Times.
COLD WORLD 🥶@@The_walking_Immortal144
The music wouldn't be as great as it is if they sold out. It's appreciated by the people who matter lol
Two years ago, you made this comment, and it's still true.
I've been around for almost 50 years and have listened to a lot of music/genres of music and I can say this band is my favourite.
My dude! Check out the Howard Jones era of Killswitch Engage! You'll like it, I promise. 🤟
The synths are just heavenly. I've known this band for 12/13 years and it's just a shame that they're not getting the recognition they deserve.q
If they got more recognition they wouldn't be as good. Because the company would stipulate mass commercialism to appease their popularity.
De best
And it is incredible how consistent they are, I got to know them in last january and I know very well every all of the 9 full-lengths now, each one of them is filled up with gem songs
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘

THΣ DΣV¡LS ЯΣJΣCT violet came out in 2005.

Excellent comment and it still stands true three years later.
На днях открыл для себя эту группу, мурашки по коже от музыки и голоса солистки, это кайф
Нежданчик от ютуба прилетел в предложке сегодня🙂 Как алгоритм работает у него хз конечно но работает! 😀

TBM is my favorite Band too . Even got a TBM tattoo
And after all these years, STILL criminally underrated!!!
If they were around in the mid 80s and put out a song like this they would've had a top 10 hit on their hands.
Speedballing.. cocaine. And heroin.
In this song..OMG.. pure Bliss..😻

Definitely something I plan to do when I get a chance to see them live Can imagine they would be awesome people to meet in person
My parents met them after a concert once. Believe Horrorghoul, they are the sweetest band ever.

+Omari Thompson I've seen them twice, last month on the 26th and back in June 2008. They put on awesome shows.

Just met this band hanging out inside of their tour rig at pilot in manoka good people and good music
Sounds like Depeche Mode in some electronic elements..!!
Love this band..!!!
🤘😎🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥
😏👌✨
I'm 48 and love the sound of these guys!! I discovered them by accident but staying indefinitely!!
Razors Edg3 check out Red Stars by them.
I love all their music, but this song is especially addictive to me! It gets me lost in a trance I dont wanna wake from🖤
I love that they popped up in my feed. I love them and always have since I was a youth
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘🐺
You can really hear the depeche mode and joy division influence in this type of rock
You were part of my adolescence. You are a fundamental part of my life. I love the sound that you expand through time, always being faithful to your style. 13 years being your fan. I love you very much. Thank you for existing in my life. ♡
Greetings from Colombia.
Awesome video!!!!! Since the first time I listened to The Birthday Massacre so many years ago they became my favorite band, you guys are the best!
What a pleasnt find. Putting albums on shuffle. Getting some type o negative vibes, love it
Love Birthday Massacre definitely my top band I like every song/album/concert
When this album dropped, this instantly became my favorite song. I was able to catch tickets for a concert in March 2022 and Superstition being the opener made me so so happy! 💜
I don't understand why they are so underrated; I have been listening to them for years.
Still here such incredible music!!
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘🐺
I absolutely love how this video is just a "rehearsal" video. No huge production, or story behind the video. Just six amazing people playing amazing music!
I feel like I haven't seen you all in so long. It's refreshing to see you together just doing what you do best!
I just realized, I've been listening to this band for 10 years now.
I'm so glad they still make music. :)
You guys are one of the few groups that craft music well. From end to beginning! 🤘🏻
I'm like 48 I've been listening to them since I was in my later twenties and still listening to them very awesome band and I love their energy to servicing about them awesome
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘
It has been almost 10 years since I first dug up this band on Google video. Yet each release still manages to capture a sense of nostalgia for a time I never lived, that only music of this purity can convey with it's atmosphere. Thank you for the new music video, I can't wait to see you all again someday, and of course, hear any future releases.
well i guess it took me a good decade to really appreciate your music as a whole. its very well done. and helps when your soul feels like theres absolutely no where to go.
I love this band so much .....
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘🐺
The awesomeness has not subsided in 17 years. I have bought every single one of their CDs. As in, the actual discs, not just the downloads. Amazing how they just keep coming up with more great material year after year.
Looking Glass was the first song i heard of this band . . been a fan ever since :)
Mine was Blue. I first heard it when playing a mod of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and I was so thankful that I did.
Yeah, that name sounds familiar, it was probably his mod. It was Camarilla Edition.
How can they be so perfect?! Every song they make is wonderful.

This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Universe” by SLT 🤘🐺
I have their station on my live by live. Its my go to for work.

The Birthday Massacre is .. the best band on our planet..,,💜💜🤔💜💜💜
Long live The Birthday Massacre.

Love this band SO much!
one song, other, and other, all the best sound, and again, again,...
Спасибо кпйфанул, кажется сейчас то самое время для такой живой музыки!
Time passes quickly ..
beautiful!🖤
I hope you have a little girl who you can nurse on this fairy-tale/love-yourself vibe, give her a head-start on being Awesome!
This song is so fucking good.
My husband surprised me with tix to see the band next weekend! So beyond excited!!!!
My favorite band💙💙
