Crash Course #5 Motor Brake Alignment and Upgrading

Dan walks through aligning the RXV motor brake as well as upgrading a standard motor brake to a heavy duty motor brake using the BRK-035 Upgrade Kit and the BRK-036 Upgrade Tool.
Please note, only functioning motor brakes can be upgraded using the kit. The upgrade kit does not replace a bad motor brake.

Hi, With the brake assembly off as yours in the video, will this unlock the rear end of a RXV so it can be rolled away?? None of the towing unlocking procedures are working to push my rxv where its broken down from. I just want to be able to move it. Thx

On a few models, there is a manual override. Most do not have this. 24V will need to be applied to the motor brake to get it moving. You should be able to move the cart after that.

According to E-Z-Go's motor brake maintenance manual, it should be a T27 Torx Bit. I don't have one here to know for sure.

What is the minimal voltage required to unlock the brake ?

24-48V is required to unlock the brake.
