I love when this song plays in the movie, they go good together. I honestly got the chills throughout the whole movie because that's really how it is. Just reminds of everything that I've experienced, and i don't know if i should be sad because I wont experience that again or if I should be happy because I had the chance to experience it.
Love this song. And I've been reading the comments...I agree with about all of them, especially when it comes to high school. High school--I remember I couldn't wait to graduate and get the fuck out of my small town. I graduated, I got out, but man I miss going to class everyday, chatting and having fun with friends I rarely see and talk to anymore. And even though I'm financially and physically independent, I can't help but reminisce about the times I was taken care of and had no worries. If time machines were real, I'd go back in time just to relive all of it once more...wouldn't change anything.
mxeknbnr this film has so much undertone that I think many missed the whole plot of the movie. I graduated 1996 and this movie was a real reflection of what emotions we all went through and She (the director) nailed the angst of becoming of age. This is my comfort food movie when I want to remember where it all began for me.

Not sure if anyone cares about this anymore but I’m the original OP. I graduated in 2016 and I’m currently getting my degree in Computer Science! I’m soon to be married and a mom as well. High School was not the best up until my senior year. Looking back, I can’t believe how relatable this movie is! Definitely feels bittersweet and makes me miss those days.
I think the thing we all miss about highschool is that feeling of freshness and sense of freedom. To those who are just starting, I envy you. You know how everyones saying it will be over before you know it? Well it will be! Frankly im kinda sad. I wasted highschool away. Now im left in the dust regretting it. Im about to turn 19. ITS OVER...
