@@ChaosCorona Hello, Corona Render. Answer me, Corona 4 will be available 14 days only? Is this limited demo-version?
@@air_defender That depends - if you have never tried Corona Renderer before, then the demo is 45 days. If you have previously tried Corona Renderer and your 45 days have expired, then you have an extra 14 days to test it after installing it. As with all trial versions of Corona, there is no limitations (no watermark, no limit to resolution, and you can even use it commercially if you like). Thanks! Tom
Will the material library component come with this version ?? Like it does in Corona for max.
No material library at the moment, sorry (if there was, it would certainly have been in the video :) ).
Hello! Very nice update, with lots of exciting features! However, I look forward to see CXR save support in next versions, that I very much miss. Especially as I see on roadmap, version 5 may focus on 3ds Max feature parity - this would be one of the most important ones!
At the moment, CXR save from the PV is set for a "future release" after Corona Renderer 5, but we shall see how it goes during the development of 5. It will definitely be done at some point though, just a question of which version the update makes it into! Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona Thanks Tom! I look forward to it, it's good to hear it may be come to Corona at a time - will be very welcome!
@@martonlente9568 I agree, it will be a welcome addition, whenever it arrives :) Of course we'll try to make it sooner than later, but as always, there's the tricky balancing act involved of what features can be tackled in what order. But when it's on the roadmap, it will get there one day! Cheers! Tom
Hi Corona team, can you explain why don't bringing OpenVDB to Cinema 4D ? Volumetrics is the basic thing in film/VFX/TVC. I can not use Corona without it !!!
Hi! We have a wide range of users, and not all of them are from film/VFX (and even if they are, they don't always need clouds, fire, etc., or don't always have software that generates OpenVDBs)
We have to try our best to balance what the majority of users will benefit from against how much time is available (we are only human after all :) ), and do our best to prioritize features based on that. Unfortunately, that means not every feature can be worked on, and that there will always be some feature that is important to some subset of users that is not in the current release.
BTW, Corona does support volumetrics, through the new Inside Mode for example - it just doesn't support OpenVDB in this version.
However, if you look at the roadmap (trello.com/b/dgI8vjDb/corona-road-map-cinema-4d) you will see we are hoping to add OpenVDB support in Corona Renderer 5 :)
Thanks! Tom
Great work guys, will it work for Archicadd?
This version won't, as it's for Cinema 4D :) Corona Renderer for ARCHICAD is in development, you can check progress at trello.com/b/xEpkKO34/corona-road-map-archicad, and you can read and comment over on the dedicated forum section at corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php#c5. Hope this helps! Tom
Are there any special settings for those caustics? May you provide the test scene for those caustics in the beginning? Mine are looking kinda splotchy.
Seems like the light has to be very very sharp. Wouldn't caustics also work with soft light in real life?
@@HumanButcher We can't provide the scene, as it was provided to us from a user so it cannot be redistributed. There are no magic settings though, just enable the solver, and enable caustics in the material.
As you note, it all comes down to the light source. No, environments and soft lighting generally do not provide sharp caustics - on an overcast day, a pool wouldn't really generate any, for instance. Also, when mixed with environment lighting and direct lighthing, caustics are often (in the real world) invisible - car rims are a good example there, you often only see the caustics if they fall into a shadow - if they fall into the direct sunlight too, they are often invisible as they are drowned out by the direct light.
It will take a lot of new studying of the real world I would say, to see how things work there - it's something few of us have ever looked at as closely as we do other features in images and scenes, since there wasn't a way to recreate it in renders before :) So what we "expect" may not be true-to-life as a result.
This is why disabling caustics from the environment is often a good idea, as it can cut down on calculations that are not going to produce anything visible anyway. Strong, sharp light sources are the ones that will contribute most to caustics (can also turn off caustics for individual lights too, to optimize it just to ones that will have a strong, visible result, e.g. the sun) Hope this helps! Tom
Where can I find genuine chapter driven lectures to learn corona for c4d because there are no proper tutorials on the official page for c4d only tutorials for 3ds max are available
Hi! Not sure what you mean by "on the official page" - UA-cam channel, website? The playlist for C4D tutorials is at ua-cam.com/play/PLt4UrWcQaAX8O9JnSsAzKA_GxIU43yVAZ.html, and more are being worked on (both Max and C4D tutorials have been a little slow in arriving, and we have been working on improving that :) ). Thanks! Tom
Corona is the best....for ever...maybe you may buy chaos group one day...😉
We are already one big happy family :) Enjoy the new release!
hahaha that was a good one
When will it be compatible with R21?
Being worked on right now. No date set as yet, but we should know how much more work is involved this week if all goes well, which means we should have an estimated date (hopefully, we will find that there's not too much work left to go, so hopefully the date will be very soon - but we shall have to see). Thanks! Tom
How about Houdini? would love to see corona there as well!
No plans to develop for Houdini at the moment - you can vote on our always-open poll at corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php?topic=238. Also though, we'd need more developers, so if you know good developers, send them to corona-renderer.com/about/jobs :) Thanks! Tom
I need Corona for Blender 2.8(((
The third party exporter for Blender is available at corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php?board=28.0. Hope this helps!
@@ChaosCorona it works fully?
@@armhakobyan8628 You'll have to check on the forum section to see just what is supported and what is not - the exporter is third party, so only its developer can list what is compatible and what is not. Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona When we can get full and official Corona Renderer for Blender?((
@@armhakobyan8628 NO, No and NO !
When will corona for houdini?
No plans for Houdini at the moment. You can vote on our always-open poll for "Which software to develop for next" at corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php?topic=238 - also note that to develop for new software, we'd need new developers to add to the team :) So send any good developers you know to our jobs page at corona-renderer.com/about/jobs! Thanks! Tom
Hi cinema 4d corona team :)
Please little help :)
How can i create pool water ?
Please help :) with some tips :)
😊❤️
Probably best to post over on the forums, as there people can share screengrabs etc. while here on UA-cam comments, things are very limited - see corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php?board=49.0
(There isn't just one way to create pool water either, the basic method is just to give it the reflective and refractive IOR of water, and to model it as a cube rather than as a plane, where the cube overlaps into the edges of the pool a bit, and you are done; enabling caustics in the material will give you refractive caustics when the new caustics solver is enabled in the scene; you may or may not want to give the water a touch of absorption so that it takes on more color the deeper it gets, though that's more an artistic choice, as water is generally clear and the apparent color comes from the tiles in the pool itself). Thanks! Tom
Здравствуйте!!! Когда будет Corona renderer 4 for ArchiCad 22-23
We only recently found our developer for Corona Renderer for ARCHICAD :) To keep up with the latest news, check in on our dedicated section on the forum (corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php#c5). Thanks! Tom
Release date ?
Today :) This is the release video, as it says in the video description you can head to the blog post to read in detail and to download it! Tom
Yeah mon!
Still no GPU support, though.
Correct! GPUs continue to excel at some things, but lag behind in others. corona-renderer.com/features/proudly-cpu-based Thanks! Tom
