Whatever you do, make sure the blind holes for the breather bolts are void of any oil. Swab the hole with a Q-Tip or blow it out with shop air. The hydraulic pressure from any remaining oil will blow out the underside of the head before you even get near the torque specs. Those breathers can be counter intuitive during assembly and it’s easy to get them wrong. Don’t ask me how I know. 😆 If you get confused, check out the video, “My Harley Blows” (It’s dipstick). Nice video! 👍
Nice job---but just as an FYI---you don't need to completely remove the rocker assy to install the "Lockers", just make sure there is "No load" on the Rockers and do one bolt at a time.--just an fYi.
At 4:51 I do not have to put piston at top dead center before tightening base plate bolts down ? Just like when adjusting push rods. I'm doing thing project this weekend. Great video Thanks for Great information
the 2005 Road King 88 I recently obtained is so loud on the front cylinder i can't believe it. I sure hope this fixes it. I've had a Yamaha V Twin for 25 years. I'm not prepared for Harley quirks.
He used his cell phone is forward facing camera mode. Makes it all look reverse. You can tell by how he tightens the bolts reverse instead of clockwise
There is a better way !! You drill a hole on the bottom square to the pin and tap it then bolt down a Allen stopper to the pin !!! They will never move again.!!
I Installed Rocker Lockers on my Softail a few years. It used to sound like two skeletons screwing on a tin roof but now it's nice and quiet.

May i ask if the rocker locker have a life time ?? And for how long would last before i need to change it
What years are these for
How did you get that bushing out? Because that just happened to me
At 4:05. What do you mean radius on the pin?
3:00 Is that camera trickery or are those bolts reverse thread??
Must have been mirrored image or something

I've a set on order. Hoping it cures the top-end rattle that's driving me nuts. Then I'll sell this POS and buy a decent bike.
I'm with you bro... and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Please tell me I don't have to drain the oil or anything to do this? I literally just did an amsoil 3 hole oil change yesterday..
Nope, you don't have to drain the oil, I've used them in the last 2 Harleys I've owned.
Um.... Nah just turn the bike upside down and all the oil will float to the top

Yep ,the better way is called the Tim Stone method right here on U Tube.
if you got a longer bolt could you not press it in in situation or am i worn
