Is Hellblade 2's 30 FPS Lock On Xbox A DEALBREAKER?

- Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the next big game for Microsoft, a company which has struggled with exclusives, and one of its more anticipated. As the follow-up to the acclaimed Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, it sports much more fidelity, fully motion-captured combat and some incredible facial animation.
Despite how impressive it's looked over the past several years of gameplay showings, the sequel - and the Xbox Series X/S - has attracted some flak. Hellblade 2 runs at a locked 30 FPS on both Xbox Series X and S, with no options for a 60 FPS Performance Mode. If you want anything higher than 30 FPS, you have to play on PC.
Though noted to have been done for "cinematic" purposes, this decision has once again raised the question of current-gen games running at such a frame rate. Is it really that important? Find out here. - Ігри
Every single thing we were told about this generation was a lie.
The UE5 "lumen and triangles polygons" video comes to mind when reading your comment. So far, every game released that uses UE5 does absolutely nothing they claimed it does.

Ps should be sue for 8k 120fps on the box. That's criminal.
@c523jw7 The console supports everything listed on the box. No where did anyone say that you'd get that from every piece of software. If you inserted your own beliefs onto the marketing, that's a you problem.

As always the main course 60FPS+ is on a decent PC. Guys just stop buying consoles, come to the dark side, you know you want it !
Since they want to be "Cinematic" they should go all in and make it 24fps. Can't wait!
And also why if they want it to be more cinematic...is it not locked at 30 fps on PC then?...but PC gets 60 fps
Just run it at 1fps for maximum cinematicness

How can they possibly justify that they kept it at 30 fps because its for a cinematic feel if you can play it with a higher fps on pc?
By their logic, PC is the "inferior" platform because it could run more than 30 fps and does not have that "cinematic" feel that they intended. Lol
The series X could easily run at 60 FPS and still look pretty good. But they put all thier time into making this game look realistic and they want to show it off. It's pretty much the same way they did the first one. But the combat in the first one kind of sucked, probably made worse by the lower frame rate. I thought the first game was okay, but definitely not really good. The visuals were good, the puzzles were okay, but combat sucked, the frame rate sucked, and the game was too short. I really didn't care for the ending either. But it was something different, so that was a big plus.
Going back to 30fps in 2024 feels like a step down, it’s blurry / jittery when moving your camera.
it also feels different..i like the smooth 60fps feeling when moving around.
Any game with 30 fps is a deal breaker.
This is game is beginning to feel a lot like The Order 1886. That game, which still looks great even today, was locked at 30 FPS and is only about 5-6 hours long. It’s a glorified tech demo. Hellblade II , running in UE5, appears to be doing the same. It put everything behind the visuals and so the performance is hindered. In 2024, that’s pretty much unacceptable. Especially since the game is a linear, 6-7 hour experience. I firmly believe that if this game were on PS5, Sony would require it to have a 60 FPS mode.

@@SoulixStories If I wanted to do that, I would simply ask the question, so are movie games good now?
@@iamskyfall of course it’s only a problem when Sony makes a cinematic game lmao
@@SoulixStories Hilariously, this game is far more movie-like than any game Sony has made since like The Order 1886.
Xbox lied about having the world's most powerful console and none of their games are optimized for Series X. If you are one of the many fools who bought an Xbox because you believed in blast processing then you are right to be freakin' pissed. Hellblade 2 was hyped by Xbox during the Xbox Series X reveal as a 4K 60 FPS title. The people telling you that it doesn't matter that you were lied to because the game will be "free" on a subscription service that you pay for are huffing copium and have gaslit themselves into believing that the market leaders, Playstation and Nintendo, are going to copy the business strategy of the guy on life support.
Xbox series X is the world's most powerful console with 30% more power than ps5.
Any person who says this is okay is not a gamer. 60fps used to be a standard. If your game is struggling to hit that because of the graphics, then sorry but you miss the point of a game. You wanna make a movie? Then make a movie. You can go to 24fps! But when you make a game, gameplay should come first. Graphics do not effect gameplay (today at least). Performance does. Stop excusing this and reject the notion that 30fps should be acceptable.
"It is not so simple as to lower the graphics to increase framerate" Eum every other game ever released on PC would like a word with you. Yes it does.
If 30fps is good or not doesnt matter what matters is that Xbox devs promised games with up to 120fps and they havent delivered on that, not even once and their recent games are not even 60fps.
Stellar Blade a korean game from a mobile game developer has 3 modes:Performance, Quality and Balanced.
Personally, i dont care if a game istlnt 60fps. Unless it's a competitive game, which i really dont play much of anyway.
Don’t care. I have been playing games since the 70s and am continually amazed by how much more visually stunning games are today. I would rather play any 30 fps game from today over some blocky game from the past.
Hope this game coming to the p5 🤞🏼
Yes 30fps is dealbreaker for not all but some of us. We all have our preferences
Are we still complaining about this 🤦🏻♂️
not a deal breaker. Cinematic game, should be cinematic and 30fps, fast pace action should be 60fps and higher.
obviously from the comments y’all some idiots 30 frames to 120 it depends every game is different
No it's not dummy. 30fps is a blurry slideshow in every game that has movement
swear to god, gamers ignorance is on another level. Anyone who saw any of those trailers and thought that would be runnin at 60fps on a console is delusional.
MS: It worth the price and suitable for these renter.
That's The Thing , You Have RISE-OF-THE-RONIN Like Graphics At 60fps , Or GOD-OF-WAR / TSUSHIMA Like Graphics At 30fps and Tripled Development Time.
God of War and Ghost of Tsushima both run at 60fps on PS5.
