Finally! My favorite ELP song! I follow several reaction channels and many have already reacted to ELP, but never to this song. And you right, that's the word: "Hauntingly" beautiful!

Greg Lake had one of the best voices of his time imo. You should listen to their song "Pirates" , it is truly epic and Greg's voice shines on that as well as Keith on keyboards and Carl on drums. A must listen ELP tune it will take you on a voyage!

Every Emerson Lake and Palmer record included a beautiful ballad written and sung by Greg Lake. The ballads weren't representative of the music of ELP, which was usually bombastic with virtuoso playing. But the albums always had Greg singing one of his exquisite songs, kind of a diversionary moment. Try reacting to From the Beginning (Trilogy), Still ... You turn Me On (Brain Salad Surgery), or Lucky Man (debut record), which are other examples of Lake's extraordinary creations.

Hey great reaction as usual to ELP, I'm Billy from England 67year old rock fan since I was 12/13,ELP were 1st band I really got into,if you like this may I suggest you listen to (just take a Peble) from there 1st album,a true master piece in every possible way, from the slow gentle start to the classical Emerson piano section then a nutty bit then back to classical ends with slow bit, also on the Internet you can find a amazing track by Greg Lake doing a piece by King crimson called (epitaph) but this particular piece is just Greg Lake with no backing from anyone else, just his voice, absolutely amazing piece of music trust me, just type Greg Lake vocals only epitaph, it's on their somewhere, anyway you take care keep up the great work English Billy

One of ELP's best. The overall mood (to me) brings to mind strolling down a darken Paris street, at night, and in the rain. The different tunes eminate from separate cafes. The songs are different but sound similar.
I can imagine this as foreground music on a 50's Film Noir movie.
I particularly liked when the twelve string guitar accompanied with a Moog synthesizer morphed into a slightly different tune played on a Stomach-Steinway (accordion) accompanied by a Harpsichord.

Hey its Billy again, sorry to be a pain but I've only just found the Greg Lake song I was on about on UA-cam, its the one I said was Greg Lake doing Epitaph on his own without any backing from anyone, it's on UA-cam as I said and says in the description (King crimson - Epitaph- Isolated Vocal 2019 Mix,),so you can actually use it as a response track on your reactions channel, hope you do watch and react to it, anyway you take care keep up the great work English Billy.
