Those Greg Lake ballads man, with his clear voice are something special.
This is one of my favorites of theirs! It takes me back to the old Hollywood MGM musicals, with lush sets and costumes. And the romance! Oh, the romance.
ELP was an amazing collection of stellar musicians. Greg Lake-Vocals, Guitar and Bass, Keith Emerson-Keyboards and Carl Palmer-Drums. Got to see them live one time, in a Symphony Hall, a perfect venue for their music. They blew out the power three times during the show. Then they waited for repairs, and picked up right where they were interrupted, true professionals.
Because nothing gets a lady's juices flowing quite like the sound of an accordion.
Greg's voice is pristine. Elegant song, elegant reaction.
Great song by Lake that with her voice, one of the most beautiful in rock in my opinion, and the accordion played by Emerson make this song a life experience.
So very beautiful! Thank you Biz❤
Works was done after their tour; it's one side of Emerson, one of Lake (where this song is from) and one of Palmer. Side 4 was all of them together.
Beautiful.
Emerson Lake and Palmer Live 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival Tarkus or Knife Edge 🔥🔥🔥❤️✌🏼
My favorite band of all time. Saw them twice in '74...AWESOME. (Not my favorite song of theirs, but it does showcase Greg's vocal skills.)
Actually this is just Greg Lake. The album was a double album, each member of the band had one side to do whatever they wanted to do. on the fourth side they got together.
My only regret about this song is they didn't give the 12 string acoustic guitar the same TLC that they gave virtually every other element of this song. It almost disappears at times or reduced to little clicks at some points. 12 stings can be tricky to sit in mix sometimes. Especially ones like this. Greg Lake makes magic with acoustics. I feel like it should have got it's due through out the song. That's my 2 cents anyways:)
"Tarkus" a track off the same titled album released back in 1971 by E.L.P. is a musical masterpiece with the transitions in the instrumentation of the composition and arrangement. The fantastic keyboardist the late great Keith Emerson was a genius as a musician. Another British keyboardist that is great also is Rick Wakeman who was a member of the British progressive/jazz fusion/rock supergroup 'YES'. At any rate, "Tarkus" is smokin' hot and highly recommended to be checked out. 🔍 Drummer Carl Palmer is one of the best in the industry. Of course, the late guitarist/vocalist Greg Lake's contribution was extraordinary as well.💫🎤🎸🎹🎹🥁🥁🔥⚡☮🔊🎧
My favorite Lake ballad is "Footprints in the Snow." They're all wonderful, though.
Greg Lake and Keith Emerson RIP. Saw these guys on the works tour! Had to be there. You reaction cracked me up when you were describing the writhing of the lyrics with a feather dipped in ink ( probably in a room lit by candles. Keep it up, I was entertained. that worth a subscribe.
Thank you

Nice!
Wow, that was different.
Beautiful song. Crank it up.
Something different from them "Jerusalem " or "Tarkus", maybe "Karn Evil Number 9" if you have time.
I love ELP, I really react to Greg Lakes tracks.
Have you ever heard his solo albums? Check out his song "Haunted." It will melt you. His voice goes WAY down into the basement and then soars up to the stratosphere!

Two new offers from Diana Ankudinova in July.
1) Diana’s performance at the NIKA film awards, where Diana sang a song from the Quiet Outpost soundtrack. This performance is a requiem for the deceased famous people of cinema over the past couple of years.
The video is on Diana's LIFE channel.
2) new release - a light summer song in English - Good Girl, lyric video, but almost like an MV.
