There was not a force in the universe that could have prepared me to hear my Switch conjure forth of all things the MLG air-horn sound because I was fighting a spider that was half disco ball. The psychic damage I sustained from it's death cry basically being it hitting the air-horn so hard it explodes will never heal.
I just fought this thing and i wasn't expecting much from it Then it turned yellow and blasted an airhorn and I knew this thing was gonna be one of the highlights of Pikmin 4
@@tattut5950Yeah, triggering the Confusion Status Effect while standing close to it, will cause it to instantly stomp you. Thank goodness for the Rewind feature, it wiped out 60 of my Pikmin 3 times in a row.
I think I could probably take all three states, mix in sounds from the games (pikmin sounds, whistles,), and put together one hell of a rave mix. Maybe incorporate elements from the game to the dance floor (disco ball changing color depending on the state, purple smoke/fog+airhorns to signal "time to dance hard and fast". Nintendo probably would complain but it'd be totally worth it and it'd be free advertising for the game. Stompy sounds from the long legs for the bass beat.
It's also a guaranteed hit when the groovy long legs heads into the third stage which is when they go Around it's legs so it's more like a delayed death
I beat this boss with 10 winged Pikmin since I didn’t want to lose a bunch of Pikmin to this thing…suffice to say the even with ultra-spicy spray, i got to listen yo this for a while!
@@thatpurplegoose They do. Only reason I used them was because I thought they were less likely to get squished compared to the other Pikmin types since they can fly…and I didn’t know if this boss could crush Rock Pikmin or not… 🪨
Some of its attacks can also free them. If a stomp lands very close to them, but not close enough to squish them, they'll break free from the mind control. It also has an attack it uses after taking a lot of damage or if Pikmin have been dancing under it for a while. It'll slam down two feet at once, which cannot kill Pikmin, but it will knock them back, which also breaks them free of the control. Ideally though, you don't let your Pikmin get controlled at all. The small puffs of gas that it lets out first can't control the Pikmin, and instead act as a warning that the big puff is coming.
