Just got into models at 47 years old. I appreciate the reviews as they help with my equipment decisions
I just bought this kit after watching your video. I was in hobby lobby this morning looking at some of the stuff in the kit and you saved me some money by not having to piece this kit together.. thanks for sharing the unboxing. Your videos have been great since I started this hobby late last year. Keep up the great work 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Ordered one, they never sent it, refuse a refund and are asking for 5 star reviews. DO NOT TRY TO ORDER.
I've not had much luck with cheap Chinese airbrushes. I've bought three, but all of them clog-up. My first real airbrush - a Harder & Steenbeck Ultra 2-in-1 was a revelation; the paint flowed instantly and kept flowing. Now I've got an Infinity too.
I'd like to have a cheap airbrush for priming, but I've already wasted money on three Chinese airbrushes that don't work.
Loved seeing how that .5 pushed the primer easily but didn't drain the cup quickly as others do. Nice having the option of the three needles but also the added bonus such as the larger cups. The hose looks like the one from Harbor Freight (another good thing to use this weekends coupon on). Having just ordered another 3 Gundams, I now heading over to pick up a couple of your panel lines and other enamels. 👍
That’s really an impressive airbrush kit! I’m impressed, especially for the price!
Sure. A lot of things are - at first. The real question, however, is whether it last worth a damn or begin to crap out in a month or after a few uses. 😐
Wow! $40 bucks with all that stuff, that's a no brainer. I'm picking one up and throwing the .5 needle in it and use it to prime and clear. Awesome deal!
This is an awesome primer airbrush. I will be using it for that myself. Great choice
Great review, Thank you for sharing! And thank you for keeping the spoons manufacturer in business 😁😁
Hope you have a great week!
This looks like a great starters kit to learn how to get into airbrushing before making a big purchase
For sure
@@barbatosrex9473 you know I've always wondered what do you do with the airbrushes you test, do you just keep em?
@@barbatosrex9473 what compressor are you using for it ? Also where do you get all your cool color paints and chrome paint ?
@@josecollazos6 I use a Tooty air compressor by Spray Gunner. Here's a link to it
amzn.to/3VkKAGp
I get my paints everywhere. Because I want to try every brand I have to go to several web stores to find them all.
@@barbatosrex9473 thank you for that information . The chrome what brand is it ? Also can these be used on to paint on model cars the plastic ones ?
Great airbrush kit! I like the fact that it has the replacement parts with it, as well as the cleaning stuff. Thanks for sharing.
That Noseru is cool. With the right paint job it would fit in nicely with my Star Wars action figures.
Love that is airbrush comes with all the extras. Great video as always.
I've just starting getting into modeling, first 2 I did with rattle cans and I REALLY want to start airbrushing. The price of this is right up my alley! Great channel, I've been learning a lot, can't wait to start putting it all to use!
you need a good space for that at least having spray booth and mask is mandatory
Do yourself a favor, get a used Badger off of ebay, if there is a problem, which is rare, they will fix it for the cost of parts and shipping. No labor charges. You can also get nozzles and needs in most hobby stores. You can't really go wrong. These "el cheapos" are a waste of money in the long run.
@@josephgioielli so I did buy this one, was having all kinds of issues. Finally gave up and bought a badger 105 patriot, so far love it! Plus I was thinking on the same line as you said, I can easily get parts for the badger.
@@TheCripticWolf What issues did you run into? Deal breakers or just annoying? I'm not afraid of spending more money, but I'm not into the hobby yet and just want to get my feet wet.
@@josephgioielli Yep, I got the 2 gun deal from amazon, the 155 & 105 kit for $142 which is very cheap compared if bought seperately
I’ve got a master airbrush when I just started out. The 2 mil nozzle broke up the first day, the O rings got brittle a year in (even tho I didn’t airbrushed that much + I maintained good cleaning) and now it just leaks air and becomes unusable. I would recommend a better one like Harder Steenbeck Ultra or their Evolution airbrushes
When I see a kit like this this on Amazon with all this stuff for such a cheap price I always think to myself that the airbrush must be crap. You proved that this is not the case, at least for this one. I think I'm gonna order this as my second airbrush. I did see in the q&a section on Amazon that a few people said that the threads on the two larger cups don't fit. Did you check this on yours? Thanks for the video!
I would like to know about this issue of fitment of the other 2 cups as well before ordering.
They work great for a while.
Just got into model making! This video couldn’t have come at a better time!
Haha....guess if you would have waited a few months you would have gotten the upgraded model....so guess it could have.
You just showed and convinced me to my to be soon primer airbrush. For those results you get good for your bucks. Was surprized to see how it was performing. Not always cheap is bad. Learned another lesson today. Thank for testing and showing it
I hate living in Canada so much. This is more than double the price in Canada vs USA... Going to have to buy direct from Alibaba.
I now have three airbrushes in my tool kit - a Sparmax Max 3, a GSI Creos Procon Boy PS 289 (by your recommendation), and a cordless iBeautee airbrush (same model as the NoName by Spraygunner but branded differently, also by your recommendation). I love them all. Every time you show a new airbrush I remember your reply to a previous video - “Collecting tools is the fun part, the kits are just along for the ride.” It strangely is true. The instruments make the process more enjoyable and makes me appreciate the hobby more so.
Dude, what you say is not true, for example cheap quick release is 2$, not 10$, like many other things in this set
Great review and good quality video but come on Barbatos, did you really say “Aloo-na-mum?
I would like to say
I watch you alot on how to use an airbrush and what kind of paint to use
What to do and not to do
Thank you very much

Thank you for your review!! My honey is getting this for me for a Christmas present!!
She's a keeper 😉👍
Parts for the Chinese airbrushes are usually generic, you get a 3 nozzle / needle sets for about $8 from Amazon. Always change both nozzle and needle together. I have had issues just changing nozzles and using 'old' needle though supposed to be same size. Chinese airbrushes have got better over the years, parts fit is much better.
I haven't done any airbrush work in forever, but your videos are making me want to bust out my old Crescendo out of mothballs and give it a go, if it still works, lol. Of course, maybe I will just buy one of these $40 units! Did you look to see if parts are available anywhere yet? Later!
Seems to be a good little kit if you can get your hands on one. But my personal preference is Iwata or Paasche. They have done very good for me over the years.
Do yourself a favour and buy a Harder & Steenbeck Airbrush. You will have a new preference thereafter..
@@j3v167 Sir, I bought 5 iwata eclipse hp cs, all of them had manufacturing defects, i think iwata eclipse is not produced well anymore.
Ordered and got mine about 2 weeks ago along with a No Name cordless compressor which then spiraled to also picking up a paint booth off Amazon and other things to get me started in airbrushing coming from brush painting with Tamiya and Mr. Hobby paints. Barbatos Rex, glad I saw your review of the airbrush and have been watching many of your other videos, it convinced me to transition over to airbrush and get me back into the hobby of model kits (cars and Gundam). For anyone out there that may have goofed up like I did when reassembling after a deep clean and breaking the threading of the 0.3 nozzle when reattaching it (didn't realize how delicate whatever metal it was made from was), I found the Neo for Iwata nozzle N0801 was a matching replacement and looks to be made of brass. Cost $15.75 and I picked it up at my local Blick Art store here in Beaverton, OR by chance today when I stopped by to check out if there was anything I could get for my workbench that I'm slowly building and arranging.
I purchased this set a few months back just to see what the hype was all about and the amount of accessories you get is impressive. Less impressive was the airbrush as It is difficult to clean under the fluid cup and dried paint builds up if you don't spend the time to clean it well. But airbrush snobbery aside, it works as well as any other airbrush as they are all basically the same. The needle & nozzle are the only 2 parts that dictate how paint flows out of the unit and the ones included are just fine. The accessories alone make this a decent deal.
Been waiting for this review video. Just ordered the airbrush. Thanks for another great video..
Hi Robert:)..Just curious ..as to .. what's the difference between the crown needle cap vs the closed needle cap, and their advantages n disadvantages ..ty..Btw Love All Your Very Informative Videos!!
I'm not sure why they included both because you only need one type. It's for protection really. The open type just let's you get close for details. When you have a closed type cap the air tends to blow back making it hard to get close details. The open type cap let's the air flow out the sides allowing you to get close up without the air effecting the paint.
great video. im just starting with painting kits and will get this set while im a beginner.
ALOONAMUM!!!
A luna mum!
Cannot get my breath.
Amazing!!
Im 55 years old and about to start air brushing ,I have only used the old testors air brush they had with the canned air . I just saw your video on this and ordered it lol. You explain air brushing where I can understand the concept. Thanks for the awesome advice in your videos. :)
As usual, I learn so much from your videos. I am a novice airbrusher, and your videos are always so helpful.
Put it in my list, everyone must of jumped on them, out of stock for now
Nice video. These cheapo airbrushes are, and I'm talking about modelling here - not art work, underrated. I'm still using the one I got free with my compressor 7 years ago!
For sure
I bought one of these airbrushes after watching this video. Surprisingly good for the price. Defiantly would recommend it for someone on a tight budget.
Thanks 4 the video, were did you get the gun stand?
I took your advice and got me one 👍🏿 thank you
Useful video, thanks for posting.
I'm new to airbrushing. Just put that airbrush and metal polish in my cart at Amazon (couldn't find the 10% off coupon though). I also purchased a Micro-Mark folding spray booth & venting kit, along with some valejo airbrush cleaner recently. What are your recommendations for a compressor? I don't really want to lug my big one in from my wood shop, and it's noisy anyway. Also, what other accessories should I get? I see you're using some kind of stand. I've seen people using cleaning pots. Do I need one of those?
Thanks.
I have a question you might be able to answer. How do you break down and clean this airbrush? I'm having issues getting the inside parts of this airbrush apart.
I only remove the needle and nozzle when cleaning. Is there a reason you want to fully dismantle it?
Thanks for doing this review. Going to purchase my first airbrush soon. This one is on the top of the list for sure!
Great choice here, and it saves you money you can put towards an air compressor
@@barbatosrex9473 I already have the 2 gallon Fortress air compressor from HF. I've had it for a long time for small nail guns. Works great so I figured I'd use that with the airbrush. Watching your tool compressor for airbrush video as we speak. Thanks again!
Still think you should build a model with all the parts you paint with random paints. My god the horror that it would look like, but at the same time it would be epic.
I CONCUR ‼️‼️
Great rundown on this AB the perfect all rounder as an entry to airbrushing if you are just starting out. Worth it just for the extras. Thanks for the info Robert
You're welcome Allan
I'm Canadian & I really wanted this to learn to airbrush but it says, Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
Same here :)
See below, it may be available next week.
@@nalinux awesome thx
I’m just getting back into modelling again. I have an old Binks Raven from the 80s. Gonna get one of these based on your recommendation. Thanks! Where is that chrome base you are standing the airbrush on from?
Those stands are sold at Robot Kai and Spray Gunner but they are currently out of stock
@@barbatosrex9473 thanks! I have given my email so they can notify me when they get more. Spray Gunner.
Do you think this would be a good starting airbrush kit for a 14yo I'm trying to get into model building? Thanks for the videos, they are very fun!
Dang, but I wish I had seen you about 35 years ago when I 1st tried.
Got that 1st set didn't know what I was doing, and made a complete mess of things.
Ruined a rare kit - and swore off.
I may just dig out some old stuff and try again :)
Too bad this set is gone.
I guess it Was too good a deal!
THANK YOU Sir! A job, well done!
Love ya work, perfect timing for this video, as I am after another all-round Airbrush... Cheers
Seems pretty similar to the cheapo airbrush I got with the tooty air compressor with tank. I didn't get quite as many add on like the quick release, but I also think it was less than 40. Honestly the brush itself worked just fine and I still use when I need to go back and forth between two colors quickly and it's really not that bad for the price compared to my more expensive one
I'm a bit late, thanks for the review. I had put this on my Christmas list and got it! I've been using it for a couple weeks and like it. But I noticed the paperwork with it mentions the needles as 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4, while they supply a 0.5. Guess at that price you don't reprint it. 😀
I do need a new airbrush, been trying to avoid these Chinese knock offs as they wear out quick.....but I'm also fairly rough on them too, which has me hesitant to dump money into a high quality name brand brush. I'll give this one a try though.
Awww, it's sold out (sad face)
Do you have any 25+ psi air compressors you would recommend for use with this? Or maybe a selection of good ones for beginners that wont hurt the wallet too much.
I recommend this one. If it's too much I can recommend a cheaper one

WOWSERS TALK ABOUT A BANG FOR YOUR BUCKS 😱😱😱This Kicks BUTT ‼️ Thanks For Sharing, I'm Grabbing 1 ASAP. Have Blessed Sunday Sir 🤗🤗 Gary.
Too bad it’s already sold out.
Anyone know if it's possible to find this kit in Europe? Ordering this from US will cost 68 USD, is it still worth it at that price or should I research a more local alternative?
Thanks for a great review!
Hi Robert, I'm hoping You n' Your family n' Loved Ones had a Great Safe Christmas & New Years, ?,,,once again I turn to, In My Opinion UA-cam's #1 Modeler For His Expertise advice,"Barbatos Rex Robert" ..its now been almost a year ago that I purchased my NEOECO SJ81, & Had No Issues/Problems Until last week, when I tried to Air Dry/Flash (by only pushing down its operation lever)..I found that No AIR is coming out of the nozzle, whatsoever..Only paint ,???? I tried back flushing and it seems to be working as it should ( as air bubbles can be seen in the gravity feed paint cup)..so my problem question is ...Why Is This Happening?..Btw one more curious question..As I Live In Canada , How Does One Contribute To Your Patron System?
What airbrush stand and quick connect do you recommend? I've got an Iwata HP-CS
Nice I wonder when an airbrush manufacturer is going to grow a brain and realize with todays pneomotech, they could make one that runs off of 120ac instead of needing the outboard compressor.
What a cute little kit that is. Would love that on my work desk.
Thanks for the great review. Looking forward to airbrushing.
I've been skeptical of cheap airbrushes like I've used in the past but this looks surprisingly good!
Enjoy these reviews. Anyone know if the airbrush O rings and plastic paint cups are solvent proof? Also do the plastic cups fit the GSI Creos Mr hobby procon Boy LWA Trigger Type double Action 0.5mm 15cc PS290? Thinking of getting one of these for priming and all the extras. The airbrush kit not on UK Amazon yet but is available to import from U.S but takes price up to about £51 in total.
Finally got mine ordered, been waiting weeks to catch it available. I’ve been using a Badger Crescendo. Works great but have been looking for an adorable gravity feed. Thanks Rex!
Currently unavailable at Amazon...and after this review it will be much more expensive if it ever shows up again .
Great channel - honest assessments 👍🏻
It looks amazing. Too bad that for Europe it costs 92 euros from Amazon :(
Did you notice a significant improvement in the nozzle design between this older NEOECO SJ81 and the newer SJ83 as far as atomization? I will be painting models and diecast cars. No artwork or fine detailing for me.
Went to link ...."Unavailable ".....but price was $94.! How to access coupons for when it is available again. Cheers, thanks
I haven't found an airbrush that works as described yet...
So I'm using my Harbor Freight special lol...
I am new to this what compressor should I use with the kit you are reviewing? Also besides the kit and the compressor what else do I need? I want to use this for body art primarily.
I have watched a few videos of yours. What would you say it THE best airbrush for a beginner. This one ? Or not. I Subscribed to you channel, hoping to find tips etc. Great video by the way ! Keep them coming. 🙂
Watched your video a while back and as a result, I bought this airbrush - it arrived today and, guess what, I've manage to break one of the "O" rings already (inside the threaded red handle part)
Problem is, I'm new to airbrushes and although I've seen videos taking these things apart, I have no idea how to strip this particular NeoEco model down - hence the broken part, of course!
Any chancfe of an intro or demo video about taking this one apart, please?
first video I saw said don't use the wrench to adjust or change nozzles. thought I could do it anyway. Problem is you don't know initially how much force to use. Ended up overtightening the nozzle, breaking it.
Hey guys, I know nothing about how airbrushing works. Anyone know if this guy has a video on how to use an airbrush for dummies?
Hi BRex. Does this kit include the parts to readily connect to an out of the box Harbor Freight Fortress Air compressor like the one you recently acquired? If some additional parts/fittings still need to be purchased, appreciate you list those items. Thanks, F1
This will go on my Christmas list because I am looking for a. 2 nozzle/needle setup I have a master 844 brush but it doesn't work I've done everything and no paint comes out not even water comes out so this is the one, the smallest nozzle/needle I have is a .23 Iwata Custom.
Be careful when buying this kit. I guess I accidentally bought it from a third party. It was shipped to Honolulu Hawaii even though I don't live there. Was able to get a refund but definitely watch your shipment.
AS OF TODAY 10/13/22 THEY ARE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON AGAIN with a 2 week ship time for PRIME.
This is NO LONGER available on Amazon! I just checked October 8th, 2022
Would love to get this but I don't know the first thing about air brushing. And I definitely can't practice on my collection thier expensive pieces. Guess I can practice on junk figures
I'm learning a bunch from this video. I just ordered the airbrush kit and Compressor. I was wondering who makes your airbrush quick connect holder. Iv been looking all over for it. Or is it custom. Thank you
NEOECO Multi-Purpose Airbrush Kit Currently unavailable.-(
Just discovered you today. Looking like a steal.
Any recommendations for compressor with holding tank?
How does this compare to the badger 105? Will this he ok with one of those portable compressors (TPLook upgraded compressor)? Thanks
Great review video. Can’t find link for airbrush? Could you please reply with link please. Thanks in advance
I have small hand compressor and airbrush from set, but I'm going to upgrade soon. I'm going to start with compressor (the hand one is too weak overall), but my new airbrush it this one.
Good luck on getting the vendor to ship. They will keep advancing the ship date, then Amazon will start asking to to confirm the order or Amazon will cancel it. For sure don’t count on getting by the date advertised on the Amazon page.
update- Just went to Amazon and it said they're out and don't know when it'll be available. 9/25/22 @5:30 pm.
put my name in pls.., oh bye the way the proper name / term for the type of needle tip is 'fixed' , and for your '105' is "floating".., but you already knew this.
This is the same Chinese airbrush as the Master G233. I have the G233 and its really shocking how good these cheap airbrushes perform. Well worth the price.
Bought this on your reccomendation from this video. Really great first time air brush. Very happy with results thanks for your help with this purchase.
Anytime my friend 👍
The ratio quality/price is obvious, but there's one thing I'm wondering though, is the replacement for needles and nozzles as it is not of a specific brand.
The Tamiya X-12 looked like acrylic paint, did you say that you thinned it with lacquer thinner? Great Review!
Tamiya paints can be thinned with lacquer thinner
Have you ever tried a barrier coat/layer on chrome? I have never tried it but I have seen elsewhere the technique. Basically spray on a clear coat and let it dry it will of course dull the finish. Then go over that "Barrier coat" with 2k clear. It looked amazing on camera however video results are easy to fake and I know you have tested a ton of Chrome brands and many techniques so I figured I would ask you. I heard the whole questions answered on patreon but It can't hurt to still ask you here since honestly even a few bucks a month to join patreon is more than I have to spare at the moment.
Congratulation Drunic92!! I have never seen a comment get randomly picked as you did!
Bought a similar Nasedal kit for €33... airbrush has fixed cup so no extra cups, hope it performs as well...
Hello Sir, I have been looking into getting into Airbrushing I am doing 1:64 diecast cars, and I started following you, for information on airbrushing, this airbrush seems to be a good stater for someone
What do you use to thin stynlrez? I screwed up a bottle of black, tried flow improver, now clogs my needle eventually, never did that before.
i am going to try and find this airbrush, can it be purchased from amazon? I didn't catch where you bought this one. If you read this in the next couple of days please let me know. I will try and drop you an email with my email info as well. i have been following you for a good week now and I thouroughly enjoy all the info that you are putting out for those of us that want to get better at airbrushing. thanks.
I've been thinking about customizing my analogue cameras. Are those paints strong enough for that kind of stuff?
