This is a video of the old display of ceiling fans from my collection that I had set up in my garage from circa 2007-2010. There were 17 fans installed total, all completely functional in their respective locations. This video shows them on low and high, as well as the spin down time for most of them. Some continue to spin past the amount of memory left on the card I was using at the time.
Shown from the start: Hunter Mayfair, GGC Fan Co., Supreme "Emperor", View Fan, JC Penney Moss, Thomas Industries T-3, CEC Spinner, Palm Air Pacific Breeze, Evergo "Banana Fan", Hampton Bay St. Claire, Evergo Spinner, Halsey? Emperor, SMC DC-42 (back), Moss WF Series, Homestead WIND II (back), Air Cool Footprint Vent, SMC Laguna (back).
Thank you SO much for the 2 MILLION+ views on this video! You have made so many things possible for me by watching, I can't thank you enough.

2 MILLION VIEWS!! I can't believe how many people still watch and love this video a decade later.
Congrats! I remember this video from years ago when I first started watching UA-cam!
Vintage Fans & More, we all do
Congratulations! I remember the first time.i watched this was around 2009-2010!
There was a lot that I loved about having my fans in the garage, especially the number I could fit there, but it eventually came down to the climate control. In just a short time I could see the effects of temperature changes and humidity on some of them with finish deterioration and warping blades. I wanted them to be in good condition for years to come, so they had to come inside.
Congrats!
This was one of my favorites as a child
The three still spinning ceiling fans took so long that even the garage light gave up
Remember watching this as a child. How nostalgic
I love these retro ceiling fans, they represent those good old days of our childhood.
I love that 5-blader...... it really stands out in the crowd
Thank you cole for making this special video for us!!! You make our childhood great watching your videos!
I remember some of those fans from when I was a kid, I use to see them in restaurants in stores some of them bring back memories..
Read the description, it lists them all in order now. For the record I don't own any Dayton fans as of now.
I LOVE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TEN YEARS IS COMING!!!!!
Everytime i see this video it reminds me of the old store displays that Walmart,Kmart etc use to have..And i love it.
And I'd like to say thank you so much for this video. This is 1 of the best video on UA-cam in my opinion, and I added it to my favorites. This is pretty much the only video I can find on UA-cam with 17 fans in the same room on low and high. By the way, I first discovered this video about 3 years ago.
your videos are my son's favorite, as well. he discovered them a while ago but he never tires of 'em. he just turned five & has been a big "fan guy" for a couple years, now. he's starting a collection -- like all his heroes on youtube. ha! thanks again, mpsslovak, for the entertainment & bargaining power (if you're not a good boy, no fan videos!).
This is nostalgic looking back at this now
I remember that this is the very first video that I’ve ever watched on your channel. So nostalgic….
Wow! You are COOL in every way possible!
I must say you have done a very good job installing those fans, I have seen many ceiling fans in restaurants/shopping malls that wobble violently, your fans don't seem to do this.
This is one of my favorite videos on UA-cam. Thank you!
Sick! I love a huge convoy of vintage ceiling fans
The fact i still remember that this video was only months old 😭
Dopest setup I've ever seen, fan hard bro.
Wow! So many Golden Oldies! Love them! Especially the big Moss Fan That mounts blades on top of the motor and is without a light. Lol it reminds me of my very first fan, My Tatung! Great Video!
What a wonderful display!! A hardware store's fan cloud, but filled with only the coolest stuff. That AB Fasco in the 2nd row is calling my name, especially with its atmospheric-looking slow speed... That'll be next on my list to find.
10 years omg!!!
Lots of fans here I recognize here from the 1980's and early 1990's. A lot of these I saw as a child growing up in that time frame. I really like the emperor type as well as the spinner type fans in your display
some of these fans were in arcades and stores on the jersey shore boardwalks like wildwood or seaside heights, a lot of memories with these fans!!!
Glad this reminded you of those fans. I've of course seen hundreds of pictures of fans from numerous boardwalks, there was always quite a variety of amazing fans.
This video is awesome! And thanks for the nostalgia.
Wow, this is just amazing how far you've come. Great work keep up the good content. :)
Happy New Year to you. Every time I watch this it reminds me of us all at the Fanimation museum running all the fans on high and doing a spin down race and we bet on which will stop first and which will stop last.
Thank you. Only took a matter of a couple years to get all these, and this wasn't all of them at the time either. There was a point when I was getting one literally every week, so you can see how they'd pile up quickly.
I haven't watched it ever but after
I watched it it was amazing
good lord!!!! this is a nice yiew of vintage fan!!!
My 5 year old son is disabled and has very limited speech. One of his only words is 'fan'. He absolutely loves ceiling fans. I cannot describe the joy on his face when you turned the fans on. He sat, engrossed until every fan stopped spinning. Thank you so much for sharing your collection!
I am happy to hear that! I receive comments like yours often and they absolutely make my day, I'm so glad he enjoyed.
A lot of different bands and a lot of fans good job putting them up
I remember watching this when I was little!
Beautiful!
Yes, the variable speed knobs were a great feature in their time of popularity. I've clipped knuckles a few times, especially with Casablanca fans lol. It was nice at the time, now I have just a few industrials out there instead of this display but it's still a wicked breeze regardless.
Man, this video has been on UA-cam Forever, I remember watching it.
Thank you, much appreciated, I’ll check it out.👍🏼
These 17 ceiling fans are my favourite ceiling fans I wish I had them
I LOVED THIS VIDEO SO MUCH!
I do all of my fan installs myself, even ran all that conduit and the wires.
wow i'd love to just move into that place!!!!!!!! all those fans!!!!!! must be such a nice breeze!!!!!!!!
They look so old but I love those fans bro! I love this video so much!!!
Most of them. The CEC spinner has been boxed up pending sale for like two years, View Fan has been on edge pending sale, and the SMC DC-42 was sold to BlueStreak440 some time ago.
The little antique brass 42" one with stencil on the blades? I love that one too. It's a Moss relabeled for JC Penney.
celling fans are beautiful, i like it.
There beautiful machine.
Ceiling fans I started in maybe 2007, was full on collecting by 2008. I have some 180 ceiling fans, that includes incompletes/non functionals, but does not include anything I've had in the past or sold, so it's probably more like at least 200 fans have been in my possession up to now.
that big fan looks awesome in fast mode
celling fans are beautiful machine
That’s one super cool garage lol.
I’ve watched this video a lot when I was a kid
Really love your palm air and moss wf top spinners
I remember this video.. Ahh I used to watch this video a lot when I was younger before I started youtube
I LOVE that fan at 0:10!
Doing my part to get this up to 1,000,000!
I LOVE IT 😍😍😍😍
fantastic!!!!!
I like the one with the blades above the motor, and the black shiny one behind it.
working in that garage in the summer must be cool
Will do. I like it a lot too, it spins SO FAST! It's almost scary to turn it on high.
WOW I REALLY LIKE THIS VIDEO
The fans with blades above the motor are called "top mount". The black shiny one is Homestead Wind II.
That is the Thomas Industries, and the slow speed in completely normal. It has a variable speed control that slows it WAY down, but it also goes SUPER fast on high speed.
I like all of your fans
I wish I had a garage like this one
WOW!
That is SURE to keep the flies away!
My mom thinks my garage will look like this. She even tells her friends how I love watching your videos
Great video.
i remember watching this a a kid
Nice Display
Wow 12 years. I remember watching this in like 2011 when I learned how to spell “fan” and type it into UA-cam. Time really flies.
awesome fans i love them :)
Well Cole, I just figured to watch through this video during this mid (circa mid-to-late) April (2015), since it's been half a decade for me now since I first discovered it, because when I first discovered it back around April of 2010, I was like "Oh wow! That is a lot of ceiling fans in one garage, I'd never seen that amount before, I love it!", and yeah. :D
You're gonna hit the 2 million view milestone
my son love ceiling fans alot like you 😁
i definetly wana see more spinners and industrials in the current display! :)
that is one breezy garage........ BTW u must have had a lot of fun installing all those fans
i love the one at 0:05 nice fans
I had to take it down to make room for the new stuff. It'll be back up someday.
I posted about the FPV when I first joined VCF. I don't know exactly what it is, but I'm guessing Palm-Air, Moss, or King of Fans, as those brands have some of these parts. Yes, the Emperor is the detachable switch housing one. Yeah, the WF still makes that noise. I fixed the bearings, but it still makes that weird vibrating noise.
Yes, we took the bikes that were there down. I had the boxes and electric there, but the bikes were in the way. I also added one box there where the Laguna is. Moving them isn't too bad, it's been a work in progress for a month or two now.
Glad to hear it. If it's important I live in ND.
Those fans maybe classics but they sure look like they can still throw down some good cool air
Yeah, that Thomas seems like it can go forever, sometimes I'm worried that it won't ever stop, LOL.
Lol, precisely why I didn't ever run them like this frequently.
Wow! I love this video with all the ceiling fans installed in it!
I just now realized, that 5-bladed fan (shown at 0:35), I actually have one that's like it (which I've had for about less than 2 years), except it's bright brass color & had a typical 4-arm light-kit with a center light with it.
I can see that the Homestead Wind II is almost stopping at 6:22. I wonder how many minutes for the Thomas Ind. to stop spinning (right after the end of the video)?
nice setup
My favorite is the Homestead Wind II
The chain sequence on most fans is high/medium/low, thus three pulls to get to low to show it first. I would think that would be pretty straight forward.
Nice video
I'll try to do one.
Glad to hear it as always. Make sure you take him to thrift stores and resale places, you can get better quality fans for lower prices than stores. If you're worried about used fans, don't be, because they're fine and completely safe... I just know that's sometimes a concern with parents. So yeah, get him the good used stuff instead of the new throw away junk made today if you can help it. :-)
My favorite ceiling fan is all of them
I watched this video when I was little!
Me too!
Same
Watched when I was 1 when it first came out
And pop goes the breaker XD. Good video!
nice fans
