My favorites got to be the samurai, Sumo, Spider, and Asura challenges. In the Samurai challenge you can only do a basic attack and parry, so you got to be really thoughtful to parry every attack from 5 enemies. There's plenty of neat ideas like that throughout the mod.
Honestly this is how it should have been. Using the Guardians as trials is WAY smarter. Because it keeps the (formerly) weaker characters away from the bosses, the bosses served little purpose since you could find plenty of Lookout Koco just lying around, and this is MUCH better use of the higher difficulty.
Am I the only one who really hates Spider+ The spikes almost pop up randomly, and I’m sure there is some pattern but it goes so quickly that there’s no reasonable way to react to it besides just running in the opposite direction from it. And then even when you say clone the missiles before they disappear, The machine can just dodge it. I’ve even had times where the models touched, but the Hitbox didn’t align right so it didn’t count as a hit. The original version of the spider may have been a bit gimmicky but at least it felt fair.
Spider+ is easily the biggest cheater in all of Frontiers. The camera really doesn't help so it can be near impossible to dodge attacks sometimes. Than if you get really lucky they spawn inside you. At least there's a trick if you cyloop the head 3 times it will instantly die.
As the creator of the mod I do agree with these points. Some of the spikes being janky are mostly due to how the speed up scale works in the trials. I would recommend locking onto Spider+ first for most of the missiles/spikes to land.
I feel like this should have been added as an additional game mode. Essentially like the Final Horizon version of Battle Rush where you complete trial after trial with various restrictions and enemy types and placements.
This is kinda hard to describe in words but I found this quote online: "I found that as sonic, the top 3 they are close to the ground, I found that not jumping and homing attacking works best, the rest, stay close to the ball jump around medium height, were sonic and the ball are like face to face and homing attack, aiming still needs to be precise and it still won't go through all of them but I found this to be the easiest"
"Master Trials" yet you make them look easier. Since this is not the first time you do something insanely hard, how difficult would you say it was this time around?
The Spider one specifically took me like 45 minutes to get a good run. Alot of times you get trolled by having bombs spawn right under his head making it hard to cyloop. Other ones weren't to difficult, usually took me like 10 minutes to figure up what's up like the Asura one.
