I Love the idea of Amy, Tails and Knuckles being able to complete these Challenges with Sonic.
Actually putting in a team effort.
I do wish there was a mod that gave Tails, Amy and Knuckles a full Combat set like Sonic Dose so they can be more versatile in combat

Thanks for the mod showcase again! These trials were not designed with the other characters in mind so you mightve broke some of them in terms of difficulty lol
Indeed, I did play through them with Sonic (three actually on the channel), just thought it was neat we could play with the other characters there now! Still was fairly difficult, actually I think Amy's Asura was harder. lol

Man the frontiers moding scene is improving drastically it’s actually sad how Sega didn’t think of this
I loved the dlc in all however when replaying it i think it’s safe to say they didn’t even try sonic team did there best but Sega and there corporate deadlines had to rush and ruin it all

I'm sorry, but this game's combat system is just not good enough for any actually interesting combat challenges. Regardless, I'm going to give this mod some criticism:
-first of all let's get this out of the way, damage sponge enemies is always bad game design, especially when the boss just sits around doing absolutely nothing like the Tank fight. It just devolves into mashing buttons for a couple of minutes until it dies. Now obviously don't go to the other extreme and make it die in seconds, find the right balance. Those Tower and Archanoid bosses would've taken forever to kill if it wasn't for the Cyloop insta kill that Sonic Team put in the game for whatever reason.
-I'm not a modder so I don't know how much you can do with this game, but it'd be much better to give bosses brand new attacks instead of just making them comically faster. That encourages thinking and maybe even making strategies to beat these bosses and by extension making it more fun.
-the mod here tries to make you use the terrain to your advantage, which is actually a pretty good idea, but you can do more with it.
-one other thing this mod does that's actually pretty good is changing the health system for at least the first two bosses here. Just use that system or at least some other system with the rest of the fights because let's be real here, Sonic's ring system is absolute trash especially when Frontiers is trying to be an action game.
-despite having just praised the terrain thing before, it's not a good idea to use it for Sumo. The whole idea of that fight is that you have a limited space to fight in. This is the one instance where letting the arena just be a flat ground is better.
-Archanoid is complete trash lol. I can't really blame the modder too much here because it's trash in the base game too and this just looks like a slightly modified version of it.
Thanks for the feedback! Its quite difficult to not make the guardians feel like damage sponges. But, I tried to make it so you need to interact with the guardians more to defeat them. Furthermore the Cyloop strategies for Spider and Tower are the intentional methods to beat the trials. Making new attacks for the guardians is also not the easiest task, but I did modify the attack patterns. Sumo’s terrain is also used for decoration. These trials were also not designed with other characters in mind.
Arachnid was also meant to be different but it was buggy

Yeah the guardians not being designed for the other characters in mind makes sense, honestly the other characters' platforming movesets are completely broken don't quite work for this game's favour.
And yeah I can tell Archanid is buggy, ever since I've seen that Spider+ boss when Final Horizon dropped it looked like it barely worked like it was supposed to. I can't really blame you much on that one.
@@Neawn-by5pi Lol, arachnid was meant to be a harder version of normal spider but the arena was too small for it to work (I think the old version is still in the mod files), but I might take a crack at it again for something coming soon
I am going to release a patch soon that addresses some balancing issues and the Sumo Trial.
