The set is great but it annoys me that you cannot lower ripper below the ground. Not that i would use it outside, but going further down into the ground is just the one job the ripper has. Also a bit sad that the upper actuators connected to the ripper are "fake". Would have been cool to have the same functionality/flexibility like with the front blade.
The D11 looks so detailed not only for a technic, but one that uses the control app. 6 AA batteries beats paying $50-75 for the battery used by the powered up app by a metric ton. Did you have any issues connecting it? I love how you can raise and lower your blade on the front. The control app technics are so cool and they look so detailed. Great video and presentation Bricksie.
i can tell ur not a truly technic guy cause the way ur so surprised towards it and i think with powered up now will see more off-road and powerful rc technic
As an actual D10 dozer operator the controls are very close to a real one except we have a decelarator pedal so put ya foot on the pedal it shows down rake ya foot off it revs up Very realistic I love it!!
you should get the LEGO technic car transporter 42098 and the Lego city car transporter 60305 and the LEGO city auto transporter 60060 and the LEGO city 40170 build my city accessories and the LEGO street sweeper 60249 and the LEGO city harvester transport truck 60223
This one is in my backlog. Looks like a major project - it always is with technic! And then the storage / display situation… my frustration with technic is that some of the motorised vehicles are really slow. The cars especially. They need to include a fast rally car that can recharge using usb! Anyway side point. Enjoyed the review. Tempted to start this project myself now.
This set is awesome! It has a lot of cool functions. I thought the ladder just went from side to side, but its moves down to the ground! Its a really impressive set. Its so cool to see how it moves, even over bricks
You also have the engine sound effects if you want them, and you'll notice when he's showing the controller that there's also the horn button. It's pretty slick.
It is a great build, but the diagnostics/calibration part of the app. has some serious issues. Some people have posted ways to get past this, these don't always work as described, but try these and persevere, like I did, and you will be able to make it work as it should.
This set looks really good, but I wish Lego would have made the tracks metal colored or black, as there is so much yellow. And if you look at pictures of the real thing it does not have yellow tracks. But if you can see past that, this is very nice. Great presentation video, I see a new fun way of cleaning up your desk after building in the future (if you have the time for it ).
This has been in my Amazon basket since it was released. I check the price every day. Always poised to make my move but it wont be until it hits roughly the £260-270 mark as the Liebherr Excavator did. I'm thinking about Sept/Oct before it happens. Can't wait!
@@fffork Yeah, nice score friend. I would be tempted at that price as well. Still sitting in my Amazon basket at £385 just now. All good things come to those who wait....or so I hope! 😎
@@Polsnulspace It's £285 in the Netherlands right now, but I've seen it around £270 so I'll definetily wait for that. After that, the only barrier would be storage for me. My Liebherr already takes up so much space. Might need to disassemble and put it back in the box. But disassembling technic.... not my favourite pastime 😅
@@BuriedDutchman Yeah I have no doubt it'll hit a decent price sometime this year. Only a matter of time. As for the Liebherr...I get you mate. It's a monster! That isn't the problem though....the problem is the new Liebherr crawler crane which is now delayed and due to hit us next sometime. That thing is penned in at roughly 1.5m high and I know I'm gonna want it 🙄😂
hi man yer this seat is a beast of a build. only if had a massive mega city. for all them big set to be on the roads and street s of a megga Lego City. never Sean it ..even Lego land not dun it. with them big sets around the city. it would look amazing ..if sume one built one .with all Thea's big set ..s. trucks jeep s digger s.
It would be better if the ripper went all the way down to the ground to be able to simulate ripping. I wish I could afford it!! I would love to build it!!
I finally picked up the D11 about 2 weeks ago. I tested it out in the garden as soon as I got it built. One of the funnest control plus sets. A bit pricey, but worth it really.
Awesome set. I would love to own it one day and play with it for hours lol. It is very detailed and the app's controls seem very user friendly. Thanks for the video
I watch a ton of the show gold rush so I’ve always kinda chuckled that you got the D11 given how much of gold rush is shot in Canada, Yukon to be exact
lol they are not underrated, they are easily the best sets from lego. main issue at what may seem to be unpopularity is price, they are expensive for most people.
I really just wanted to finish this one off camera, but you can always watch the replay of the Vespa finale. I finished it during a members livestream.
Fun fact: The real D11 is powered by the top sprockets while the LEGO one is powered by the rear and there is a pair of linear actuators at the rear that are brick built and just for show. 🤣
I was truly surprised 2 see it could do multiple functions at 1 time which is even more impressive the D11 rocks

I built mine over the christmas holidays. My fingers were so sore by the time I was finished 😆

Thank you! No issues with the battery

And ordered it about an hour ago.

Lets destroy a moc with it. Your Bricksie official sound effects are the best!

Not be mean or anything but I just imagen this monster plowing through the city🤣
Great review - this may have to be my first large technics set! Bet it's an interesting build.
This set is awesome! It has a lot of cool functions. I thought the ladder just went from side to side, but its moves down to the ground!
Its a really impressive set.
Its so cool to see how it moves, even over bricks
Hay Jordan what size Billy bookcase do you have and what size are the spare shelves what you have ???
We use the tallest size of Billy, and the extra shelves are just the generic size (I believe there's only one size).
This MASSIVE LEGO Bulldozer set looks crazy and awesome 😎
Hurray! im glad you found the time to finish it. So much fun to drive, great video as always
This set is so cool, nice video!!!!!!
I like how it sounds when it drives. Sounds just like if it was going on a hard surface.
You also have the engine sound effects if you want them, and you'll notice when he's showing the controller that there's also the horn button. It's pretty slick.
Please use it in the garden
Now you need to build up an armor kit moc like the original kill dozer
I'd love to see that D-11 take down a modular building or two!!!! Any chance of THAT Bricksie?! :-)
Did they for real build this nice of set and then give it YELLOW TRACKS?!?!?! O.o Bwahahahahahaha
Bricksie - do you ever think LEGO will make a Cat793F Dump Truck?
That would be awesome.
Wow that set does so much more than I realize. So cool great video and usage demo thanks bricksie

I think you should check before you comment a new D11 Does have yellow tracks
@@rogerdonald8978 I checked a lot of pictures on Google and didn’t see one with yellow tracks. That is the background for the comment.
Check tony beets buys a brand new d11 on gold rush it has yellow tracks

not using black and yellow technic pins instead of the bright reds and blues is an eyesore.
Can't believe him he reminds me of a 18yr old but you know the kids are going to love to play with daddy
love it!
My real question is how come they didn’t make it easy to replace the batteries. Pretty much have to take it apart in order to do so.
U got it built. I was thinking it's a old vid. no just you did do a vid munth back when U started the build and now got it built 😊👏
Good to see you finish it! Was starting to think it was placed on the permanent back burners.
Man I've been wanting one of these since they came out and now I really want one. Looks like I found what I'm gonna spend some vip points on now.
Hello
If I want to use the power functions than I have to rebuild mine. Messed up in the first bag

such a amazing set it looks so good ..along with sume the. truck s 😊.
Did anyone else get a CAT that has a battery box that has screws and not a clip
Looks great but the yellow tracks look a bit weird be better if they were dark grey or black.
That is so cool. Wonder how long it would take to build??
Awesome set. I would love to own it one day and play with it for hours lol. It is very detailed and the app's controls seem very user friendly. Thanks for the video
awesome video jordan the cat d 11 is an amazing set i love all the functions it does
what a sick lego! cant wait to see what they will come up with in the future
Rather weirdly in Europe this set is called the Cat D11, but in Canada it's called the Cat D11T
That thing is a beast!!!
There is 2 things good about it. One it drives well and 2 that makes cleaning up easy. Well maybe!!!
Cool
That is so COOL. Enjoyed the video
YOU'RE JUST A BIG KID.....lol
It's amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Oh the look on your face is priceless xxx
Wow such a cool set. Love the details and the app control.
but aren't 500$ little bit too much?

Build a Lego airport
You did not show us the horn LOL
Hi bricksie your my favorite UA-camr and I watch your videos everyday keep up the good work!!!
If the gray pieces at front of blade were sloped pieces, you could probably scoop bricks up into blade!!
.
You definitely wet my appetite for this huge bulldozer. I just now ordered one!
That does look epic! I would use it to annoy my cats and maybe push them while sleeping on the floor 😂
Whoa...ok ok....you totally gotta set it loose in the city and cause some destruction!!! lol Would also be fun to use to clean up spilled lego too!
Omg so big
That's cool
Watching you play with this and hearing you laugh was priceless.
So fun for you!
Cooooool
What a beast
Great set in my opinion , what a beast . I do think the mechanics could improve for the price though
Man Bricksie that’s gotta be the coolest Technic set!!! So rad!
Time to repave the roads in the LEGO city! lol
Still have mine in the box, waiting to be build xD
Thanks for the video - can the D11 change gears?
Yeessss. Glad to see it finished.
Lego technic is so underrated. I feel like the only love technic sets get are from the giant cars but the machine ones are so cool
lol they are not underrated, they are easily the best sets from lego. main issue at what may seem to be unpopularity is price, they are expensive for most people.
