The two most unrealistic things were the cars instantly exploding like they were packed with nitroglycerin and the cat not meowing once in the entire movie.
I thought the most unrealistic thing were the aliens descending from space to destroy all of humanity, while doing it with super hearing and super strength.
Seeing this movie was an excellent experience, and the cat added to it for me. Having Frodo there was an excellent plot device to keep the tone of the movie where they wanted it to be. Without giving spoilers, there were times where he added to the tension, and times when he relieved it. I definitely agree that I had to suspend my disbelief at times at the fact that a cat would remain silent throughout everything that was happening, but I didn't suspend it to the point that it took me out of the movie, which I felt was intense and very rewarding. The cat was the MVP of the movie 😂

The kitty meowed once nearer to beginning of movie 🍿.
Aren't cats extremely quiet when scared, traumatized, and/or old. I also think some cats are just really quiet. Also, Frodo's a service kitty.

A cats meow is generally how they communicate with their human companions. Cats can be very quiet and stealthy especially when hunting.
the cat was dumped into the water n the cat still didn't make a noise.
Hey man, the cat needed to do what to do to survive the end of the world.
