Greeting ghouls and ghosts! Our names are Jason and Kali, and we are the horror couple of your dreams- or nightmares! Jason has been a film nut for over 30 years, and Kali has a hyper-fixation with horror and slashers. Together we spend most of our waking life watching films and obsessing over them. We record movie reviews and discussions weekly, and love watching and talking about both lesser known and popular films in the horror genre. Occasionally we also review comic books, video games, television series, and novels. Additionally, we also enjoy making short horror videos. Going Friday! Not sure if it’ll be my cup of tea but I really enjoyed the other two movies
The PG-13 rating kind of brought down the first two movies for me.... While I still liked them, not seeing gore and other stuff felt really weird and unnatural in that kind of world. I didn't love the 'family-friendly' nature of those films.
Overall, I still liked them though. Will def check this out.

The others: I don't remember it being a PG13, I think there's a sex scene when the husband returned
1408: I don't remember this movie, is it a Stephen King movie?
Ouija: well, maybe a contender
The Ring: waaaaay much prefer the Japanese original, they left out a lot of interesting things in the adaptation
Insidious: we all know how it went down in the third act
Cloverfield 2: haven't watched it, not to keen in minimalist horror
Megan: watch the unrated scenes and you'll be amazed

Yes, 1408 is a Stephen king adaptation.
You're obviously very picky lol To each his or her own.
Unfortunately, this franchise is very corporate and sterile, made for extremely casual audience.
1) You know they are gonna play out everything safely.
2) You know nothing is going to happen to the cat so there's no tension there.
3) There's 0 gore. Absolute destructive Monsters that are going to wipe the human population are rampaging through New York and there is somehow barely any blood and no gore to be seen ANYWHERE. Body parts should be scattered throughout the city...
4) And you know events will lead to a hopeful ending.
I love the concept of this franchise but the PG-13 crowd-pleasing aspect of it completely wastes its potential. Not looking forward to Quiet Place 3 now.
It's going to be another safe, "hey guys, don't go hard. Let's please all of the families and children" type of corporate movie. Oh well, capitalism.
