Hi Tim, Clearly not the year for 944's to finish Targa! Ah well, rebuilds are always a good winter project. The trip meter was built my a friend of mine - acts as our 'Terratrip' equivalent. cheers, Simon
@mrbleetbleet 116, the 6 right, was for the corner afterwards, the driver already knew the left. The Opens and Tightens was for that 6 rights where they crashed. The 5 Left he called at 1:23 was for the corner after the one they crashed on. Have a look at some other Targa videos on the Holwell stage :)
What happened guys? That looked like a comfortable right at the speed you were going. Just a traction issue? Gravel? Thanks for posting the vid. Very sad to see, but as you say ... Winter is good for rebuilding ... as we are with our '73 Mustang. Bigger and better hey. But I hope you have more money than we do! Pete
@websimple road did go right after all! In truth no idea what caused the massive understeer: either a malfunction of something steering or suspension related, or we hit a ridge in the road, compressed suspension and rebound couldn't cope... rebuild progressing-now have engine, etc in new shell (old one completely bent: built strong are Porsche!)
can you explain why when co-driver said "6 right"the road went left!then just before the understeer slide he said "left"when clearly the road went right?
