WOW. That's amazing. I have a forester 2011, but i was thinking of building an OHV XJ jeep, but now i think i'd rather have this for Sedona! Brilliant work!
Had to bang out some smaller projects that have been waiting in the wings for a while but Becky will be back asap 🤙 I have some work to do on my explorer and then they’re gonna go head to head on some off road tests 😬
Technically yes but I’d advise putting in Forester rear trailing arms on the rear as well to keep the wheel centered. Otherwise it pulls the wheel forward
As soon as i did my sub frame drop in my impreza the exhaust sticks out like a sore thumb and i had to make long hangers. Almost regret doing all the work on my car just for that 1 reason
No we opted to disconnect them for now to improve off road articulation. It made it a little floatier on faster turns but not nearly as bad as I thought it would surprisingly. So the owner just slows down a little more than normal when taking turns. I’m the future going to be building quick disconnect mounts though
@@Enginuity yes I meant lowered with spacer. you highlighted the use of the body spacer from the forester w/ 4 bolts (or 2 cradle bolts) 03:34, but how about the other 6 bolts that connects to the unibody (4 that's connected to the front control arm and 2 at the front of the impreza)? I'm planning to do a similar lift to yours. I have a full SG as donor. my car is a GG. Thanks heaps btw!
@@Enginuity you lowered part # 20101 and the middle portion of part # 50515. What I would like to ask is if you also lowered part # 20204A and 20204B (rear portion of part # 50515)? thanks!
This summer’s been a huge setback but I’m happy to report the CRX is finally back in the garage and wiring/plumbing will commence shortly, just waiting on a few more things to show up.
@@Enginuity yeah I got a little rubbing action going on when I turn the wheel all the way I figured I'd get wheel spacers or maybe just cut away some of the body, wasn't sure which route to go
subaru engines arent known to be strong units (think they devellop rodknock pretty often ), the suby gearboxes are allmost made out of glass , not the most obvious choice for performance (info from mighty carmods youtube channel who done a few of them)
Really cause I've had no issues with my ej22. Just do normal maintenance and make sure you have oil in the car. Common sense if you know they consume oil it takes a couple seconds to check. Amazing how many people don't check their oil or even know how to do an oil change.
Agreed 100% Casey. From my personal experience, most Subaru engine failures are due to owner negligence (lack of maintenance) and/or abuse (increased boost levels without supporting fuel mods and tuning), but to each their own I guess. Sure, the wrx 5 speeds have issues with upgraded power levels, but what oem transmission doesn't aside from the uniquely overbuilt ones like the STi 6-speed, BMW ZF, Getrag 6-speed and Tremec T56, etc.

Ok ok.... Not, Becky but pretty dang badass!! That thing is more off road capable than my pickup!

Nice ride, I just bought a 2004 legacy can I just put 04 Forester struts in all around to get like a 2” lift without any other modifications

Thanks for the response it helps a lot. 👍
Anytime!
Great video!
Thanks Scott!
Inspiration to my build 02 impreza Outback sport
Nice! 🤙

wasn't an issue on this one, but it's only dropped the 1"-ish stock forester amount
WHAT?! NO WORD OR LOVE FOR BECKY
🙇♂️
She gone?
Coming back soon
Thanks for this🤍
Thanks for the support!
Is there a temporary fix if I haven't put in the cradle bolts, like could I use spacers?
If you don’t have subframe spacers you’ll have pretty aggressive positive camber but it’s not the end of the world
I want to lift my 2005 outback next year an inch or two, anything else I'd need other than strut spacers to make it happen?
You may need to space the subframes down depending on how sharp the axle and control arm angles are
@@Enginuity Gotcha, thanks!
Do you have the sway bars connected??

Late to the party, but did you also add the subframe spacers on the rear?
No, didn't need to
Nice video!
Thanks man!
What is the tire size on this set up? Were you able to get 15" rims to fit over the calipers?
it's in the intro, don't remember. yes, 15" cleared the calipers just fine.
hi, did you only lift the engine mount? how about the front control arm mount?
I lowered the whole subframe

I’m looking to do something similar. What roof rack is that?
smittybuilt i think
Hope you’re doing good bro
You too homie
I was worried due to no uploads in nearly 6 months

Where can i get those subframe spacers ?
they're oem subaru second gen forester subframe spacers
Did you have to cut away some of the body off in the front wheel wells?
The owner did on the initial lift but if you did this combo out of the gate probably not. Maybe the bumper at most
@@Enginuity yeah I got a little rubbing action going on when I turn the wheel all the way I figured I'd get wheel spacers or maybe just cut away some of the body, wasn't sure which route to go
Depending on the tire size you might need to clearance the body on the bottom of the wheel arch. I forgot I had to massage that back a bit as well.
Do you happen to have a build page to follow. 😊
owner is on IG - @blubaruwrx
@@Enginuity yea def not it
@l90gl4lyfe didn’t know he changed it my bad - here’s the new name instagram.com/bartmanmusicandmedia?igsh=c24xazVkdnNtMGw3
nice video! size wheels specs and tire specs? thank you!
tire specs are in the beginning of the video. no idea on wheels other than they're 15's.
where did you get the roof rack?
Used off FB
All thread? Lol
