    I do my research, I am 70 years old and have used wood stoves for 53 years. Lopi are the absolute best hands down the best brand I've ever seen.

    We just bought this stove and it is incredible. Totally worth the extra cost.

    I purchased the Evergreen back in 2022. I love it. I am so grateful that I researched wood stoves before purchasing. The only thing I have issues with it that smoke still comes out from time to time when I have the by pass damper fully open. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I use my wood stove all the time during the cold seasons. Fall, Winter and spring time. Love the feeling of the warmth from the wood stove. So relaxing.

      Thank you for choosing Lopi! We are grateful to have you as a customer. If you have not already, we recommend you review the owners manual. It contains many helpful tips and tricks for operating your appliance that you might not have thought of. The manual can be found under the documents tab on the website for your product www.lopistoves.com/product/evergreen-nexgen-hybrid/
      If you are having trouble with smoke entering the room during startup, try burning a piece of newspaper to establish a draft. If the flame is not getting enough air, opening the door a crack is all that is needed.
      If you are having trouble with smoke entering the room while reloading, ensure the air control is open in addition to the bypass before attempting to reload. Let the air stabilize before opening the door. Then open the door one inch to allow air to enter the firebox for a few seconds. Once the smoke is flowing up the chimney consistently, open the door fully.
      Chimney height and outside conditions can negatively affect draft. Adding more piping or a draft-inducing chimney cap may help.

      Yes. I do have the manual, and I have read through it. It says "To open the door a small amount and let air enter the firebox to equalize the pressure, and then open the door fully." As soon as I open it up a small amount I can see the smoke coming out. Maybe there is too much smoke in there since I use fatwood or maybe I am opening it up too much. I don't know. . My Niece's husband was over, and he said his did the same thing. They do not have an Evergreen.

    Great stove. We are on our second season with our evergreen. Our home is 1900 sf and we have the 2000 sf stove and it gets heat to all rooms. We love it!!

      Hope you see this, Montoya ... So, you MAY be heading into your 6th??? season with the Lopi Evergreen; yes?
      Do you think the Evergreen would be TOO much stove for an incredibly tight, very insulated, manufactured home of 1300 sf (56x24x9)??? I am worried about cooking us out. We have a front 1/2 "VERY open" (-/+ 800sf) / back half "chopped into bedrooms" in foothills of Cascades toward Canada border that is the "zone line" between #4 and #5 ... Average winter has been mid to low 20's (not like MT where we lived and burned a Lowe's mid-sized in -30's + wind-chill for three weeks and the rest of the time it was 0' to high teens until March). WORST we've seen was a three day drop to 4° then back up to mid-teens.; OPINION, please .

      @@katiebea9258 This reply is probably too late to inform your purchase decision, but we'll give it a go anyways. The Answer would be more suited to your square footage and would likely be enough to satisfy your heating needs. The Evergreen would give you extra heating capacity in the event that it's needed, but would probably be overkill for normal use. Keep in mind you can always turn down the burn rate as well if the heat is too much. Consult with your dealer for a more personalized and informed opinion.

    I have a Lopi and I love it. The one thing I would think would be troublesome with this is the Bypass damper handle in the front. Knowing me I would bonk my head on it while reloading.

      I was just looking at this at the stove store yesterday. The handle is pretty short so you don't bonk it and they provide a little hooked handle (and gloves!) to pull it when it's hot. I doubt you'd have your head that close to a hot stove. When it's cold, maybe, lol.

    Is the back wall clearance truely 7.5" then? Why would it be listed as 9" in the manual?

    The pdf brochure says 77% HHV? Is this the only non-catalytic stove you have over 75% HHV? Can you get that efficiency at lower heat settings?

    How many days will the ash pan last before needing dumped? Thanks.

    • @LopiNorthAmericasFavoriteFire
      @LopiNorthAmericasFavoriteFire  7 років тому +1

      Really depends on how much you are using the stove. Once you get about 3 or so inches of ash would be a good time to clean. Remember, NEVER clean out when there are still hot ashes.
