simpsons is a classic, beavis and buthead wouldnt be understood unless you were part of the culture of a bored teenager with nothing to do same with dr. katz, dariah, home movies. just shows the average person would never "get"
According to the lead singer, he came in so drunk on the day he was supposed to record this that nobody could understand what he was saying and the producer just released the song, guessing at what the title was supposed to be and he decided to run with it for the rest of his career.
this is an all-timer simpsons bit imo, my friends and i would watch simpsons DVDs during our lunch breaks in high school and this episode usually always came up
@@AE1OU Nah, classic Simpsons purists unanimously include it in the "golden era". Even the more hardcore fans distinguish it as the "Oakley & Weinstein era" who are often regarded as the best showrunners. Season 7 was super funny and character-driven. It had Mother Simpson (Homer's mom's debut), 22 Short Films (steamed hams), Summer of 4 Ft. 2 (the dud), Raging Abe Simpson (Grampa vs. Burns episode)... Bart Sells His Soul is the kind of quality you'd expect from ANY episode in that season, really.
I went to a pool hall that had a jukebox with the full 17 minute version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida on it, so I played it 3 times back to back and was kicked out

Same episode as “Remember Alf? He’s back! In pog form.”
Pawg form
Don't forget the Spaghetti and Moe-balls bit as well
poggers
This is my Brother’s Favorite episode. Uncle Moe’s. Definitely a classic.
You traded my soul for pogs? NOOOOOO
Really love Vinny discovering beautiful Simpsons moments I've lived through
And then him making the music connection that I'm unfamiliar with. Real cool.
Chances are he's seen it before but his goldfish brain forgor.
Sneaking Between the Cheeks into the church ceremony
*Me listening to Red Vox*
Wait a minute, this sounds like Rock and/or Roll.
I shit you not, I glanced at this comment right when the reference happened in the video
... So if In-a-gadda-da-vida = "In the Garden of Eden"
Should we start calling In the Garden "In-a-gadda"?
🎵Made myself a little gadda🎵
A guy born in the 80s finally watches the Simpsons live on stream. Next, we'll force him to watch Beavis and Butthead.

I’d be surprised if he hasn’t at least seen Beavis and Butthead Do America.
He's seen it.
I think you might be a couple of decades late for the latter lol
Such a great episode. Bart tries to get his soul back, Millhouse trades it for pogs, and Moe opens a family restaurant with weird crap on the walls.
One of my favorite episodes
“It’s good good good, good good good!”
“Hm, sounds good!@
"Look at the vein on the guy's forehead; it's about to blow!"
*Another Million Dollar Birthday Fries siren blares*
Unkie Moe, my sodie is too cold and it makes my teef hurt.
Here you go, Here I am!
Uncle Moe, Thank you ma'am!
This'll be a treat!
Uncle Moe! Here I am, while you eat!
credit where credit is due, you gotta admire the stamina of the organist for getting through all 17 minutes of that
That's impressive in its own right but what's really jawdropping is that she is apparently doing the performance prima vista
@@TheHeavyModd She probably had an interesting past.
legit banger of a episode
anytime you get an insane milhouse laugh you're having a good time
the ytp he pulled up at first is also a massive banger
How is this man gone nearly 4 decades without somehow seeing this
I always heard it as "And I gotta defeat a baby"
half life (1998)
I love that someone linked a UA-cam Poop before actually linking the real clip.

Vinny is like a thawed out caveman discovering things we consider old news
"It's from Season 7 Bart sells his soul" *Road to bowser starts playing*
One can only imagine how she did the drum solo.
It's a big church organ, probably has bass pedals
haven't watched much binny in a while, didn't notice he gradually turned vinesauce into a hardcore simpsons channel
shoutouts to therealjims
Classic song AND a classic Simpsons bit from season 7. We actually used this in History of Rock 1960s. I say “Rock and / or Roll” all the time 😂
Wait a minute, this looks like Vine and/or Sauce.

I always wondered how the organist performed a song that was mostly drum solo.
Judging by how she collapsed in the end, I imagine it couldn't have been easy.
this is an all-timer simpsons bit imo, my friends and i would watch simpsons DVDs during our lunch breaks in high school and this episode usually always came up
Finally Vinny talks about one of my favourite songs.
unironically one of my favorite episodes. can't wait until vin sees it
Vinny getting simpsons bits a posteriori is something pure and wonderful
It's depressing to think that the Bart from this this episode would be in his 40s now
Genuinely one of my favourite jokes in the Simpsons
Dammit, the key slam notes were the best part. 🫤
Memory unlocked
i am telling you with peace and LOVE, the video that was sent to vinesent did NOT contain in a gadda veeda
I always forget how funny that bit is... Godamn
Still surprises me Vinny never watched any of The Simpsons in the golden era when it aired. He was prime age for it then.
Now THAT'S Moe like it!
i hate it
"Bart sells his soul" is a really good episode for season 7.
How far is Vinyot now into the simpsons season and episodes?
'for' season 7??? simpsons didnt stagnate until like, season 9-10
@Nikkibuh always heard 1-6 were the peak

Mother Simpson was also in Season 7
Season 7 is, like, a fan favorite season
7, VINNY. S7. I HAD THIS SEASON AS A KID
Blows my mind that I saw this clip long before Vinny lol. My parents have been referencing it for years!
This is one of my absolute favorite bits in the entire series
On the subject of Vin going down a 60s music rabbit hole, might I recommend a contemporary band with a 60s vibe known as the Mystery Lights?
No you may not chatmember 🙂
That ytp he opened is great. I think its made by steakfish?
Need a link

Vinny needs to see the episode where Ned Flanders snaps.
Featuring "the House that Love Built"
Where’s the Manhunter reaction?
They YTP someone sent is also pretty good
What’s the YTP?

awesome bit, surprised vinny never saw it

I used to think the song is called *In the Garden of Eden* because it just makes a whole lot more sense.
Technically it was, they just named it after the weird pronunciation it was sung as
Vinny hates YTP simpsons
