In this video I fix the spark problem and start it up, video is for all but SPECIALLY for all my new subscribers that did not see and hear the Lister D running
That's such a beautiful piece of vintage engineering, lovely to hear it run again. Old fashioned points ignitions might not be as reliable as modern systems, but give me those all day long. At least any bloke worth his salt and with a few basic tools can sort it out when it's not working. Can't do that so easily with electronics. Cheers Jan, see you tomorrow my friend!
Hi my friend, yes that is the nice thing about this old systems, normally easy to sort out, I might make a new pantyhose fan belt and run the generator, but may be not, let's see with what will I come up with... Thanks for watching and see you tomorrow
Man yeah!! Purring like a kitten!! I love the attention to detail, showing all what you did to make it run again!! Belt out of panty hose? Wow, that's awesome!! Really glad I found your channel, thoroughly enjoy the projects, can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!! Thank you for bringing us along!! Really enjoy this!! Are there older videos about the lister? Thank you my friend!!
There is a lot of it, from as far as 5-6 years ago when I try to start it of the pulley from my Turfmaster Garden tractor up to where it start for the first time, I also try start it from the PTO of the Farmall, all is on my channel, thanks very much for watching my friend, very glad you like it.
Thanks Vernon, when I see the condenser I think of you that last time asked where is it, you had me confused for a while also, and the best of all is I personally strip the whole mag at a point in the past lol
Hot Doggies Jan...she fired right up. A little rust and oxidation can really cause a problem can't it ! Way cool my friend. Btw...two of your comments on the tractor challenge and Massey start up disappear when I try to reply. They are listed under the bell up top, and when I click on them to respond, they disappear. but they are not on the list of comments on the actual videos. Kinda strange.
Thanks Ed, 1959 model and runs sweet, it took me long to built it up, I bought it in 4 pieces and it short 3 pieces to be complete, eventually I get it running, thanks for watching
I bought the engine in half stripped in Johannesburg more or less 6 years ago, it took me long to get it going, the shed is doing fine but I never came so far to put the glass in the frames and only spray paint one side, it needs to be done sometime, thanks for watching
@@jankotze1959 Nice to know! So you have put in a lot of effort already :-) It surely would be interessting to record the process of the shed whenever you continue, don't you think? Have a nice evening!
great how you run through and explain what you are doing and lovely to hear it start up again
Comments have been disappearing for the past week. So I’m back to comment again 🥴 Nice start up Jan. Thanks for sharing . Take care.
@@jankotze1959 whew! Glad it stuck this time. Have a great weekend.
I like when broken things are easy to fix- nice job!
Me too Chris, that makes this old engines nice to work on, the Software on this engine is the pantyhose fan-belt lol
Nice repair on the Lister. Might want to put some silicon over the crack to keep out the moisture.
Good idea, I have some and will do it definitely, I stick some electric tape on for now but will fix it soon, thanks for watching Robert
