I wanted to thank you, Sam, for this video. Even now, Hattons still sells it at a great value for money, considering the normal prices of the engine, DCC chip pre-fitted, rolling stock and track alone. I ordered mine just now, it'll make a nice companion to the GWR Pannier tank I have that comes pre-fitted.
Makes me somewhat excited, really - now I have 2 DCC fitted locos, and 2 DCC-ready ones.
My pleasure Damian - that's great to hear, I really hope you enjoy it mate! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I got this as my first set a few weeks ago because I want to build a model railway, and
I just got into model railways because I like your videos so much! Thanks for all your great content, Sam, And you're right, this jinty really is beautiful!
Ooh awesome - great choice in train set hope you enjoy being in the hobby! Thanks for your lovely support,
Cheers,
Sam :)
I like that smart choice of livery for both engine and goods wagons! Hornby train set boxes make three-wagon trains look so idealistic.
Thanks Mason - me too - really unusual but great too! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
YAY SAM UPLADED A SET REVIEW INSTED OFA LOCO
and you won't pin this
:)
I did indeed - I thought it was about time I did!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Sam be good BOI

That seems to be a very realistic looking engine, couple of good wagons as well. I noticed it is SDJR and you may be interested to know that an accident involving this company is mentioned in the book 'Red for Danger' by L.T.C. Rolt.
Thanks a lot Ian! Ahh that's very interesting - I'll have to look into that book!
Cheers,
Sam :)
This has been the classic dcc set for more than 7 years. Finally a quality review.
haha you're very kind, thanks a lot for your comment mate,
Cheers,
Sam :)
I bought one this week in China. 1799RMB. My first trainset since 1978. I am 51 year old kid inspired by you sam. And yup, it felt like Christmas. But I had to contain myself because the wife was on the phone to her pal.. talking about divorce. Interestingly, the set I received was packed in 2013, with UK plug, but bought from a supplier in China. 8 year old daughter likes the 7 plank wagon. But it is loaded with a hello kitty, not a cow. Anyhow, thanks for the inspiration. I like your style of train on the floor rather than on a super detailed model. Now to get daughter to work making a lego station👍😷
Fantastic Owen - really glad you enjoyed it! Great to hear you're having fun with them already!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Hello Sam... Greetings from USA. Just discovered your channel (Will- IC82- mentioned you) a couple weeks back and been going through them all. Great site, enjoy the fun you have with what you do. At 54, I am just 2 years into the hobby, I model HO Era 6 Central trains, but between you and WIll, I am learning and loving everything about the British Rail system.
Hey Anthony, greetings from the UK! Thanks a lot for your lovely comment - really glad you're enjoying our channels, much appreciated!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
What a super way to get started in the World's Greatest Hobby - Scale Rail. OR - an economical conversion to DCC with extras. OR - this could be a great "add on" pack of track, plus more. OR - well, the list does write itself. Another well produced, entertaining train show.
Thanks for sharing...
Absolutely - even as an add-on, it's a great value option! Much appreciated mate, thanks a lot,
Cheers,
Sam :)
RRP 210 Pounds (dec 2019)
Blimey, that's gone up a bit! ;D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
No longer for sale. sold out
@@SamsTrains Sam I have a British railway tornado
You are pretty much the only UA-camr I don't skip the ads on cuz I know that helps with your revenue from the channel
That's so kind of you mate - I truly appreciate the support!
Cheers,
Sam :)
I bought this train set about 5 years ago like you, for a very reasonable price. A very nice little train set. Just one small problem I had was with the NEM couplings fouling with the standard couplings and causing derailments. A perfect set to build on though. Id love to add one of the older B.R. blue B12s to it.
Thanks Piers, glad to hear you're happy with yours - yes I did wonder whether that rogue NEM coupling would cause problems - it's quite strange really!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Thx Sam. Fam was in uk last week. Some new components for our rwy miniature. Finally got a hex spanner to service drive rods on my locomotives which always seem to come loose
No problem Bill - that sounds fantastic, good luck with the servicing! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Great video Sam , finally reviewing a Train set I see😂 .
This is my favorite train set and coincidentally the SDJR Jinty is my favorite loco.
Keep up the great work my friend.
Thanks a lot Steven, yes I thought it was time to do another train set!! :D
Ooh sounds like a good one for you then ;)
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
A beautiful 0-6-0. I wish we americans had more style to our locos.
Thanks a lot mate - I've heard other Americans say that too!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I know!
Agreed, while i do love American rolling stock of all kinds, its rarely for aesthetics, aside from some streamlines steam locomotives and the odd railcar. The Poms have the rolling artworks, doesn't seem to matter if its a nice fast pacific express passenger engine or a tiny 0-6-0 tank engine, they all seem aesthetically pleasing! No slouch in performance numbers in terms of passenger locos but when it comes to pure amazing power you Americans are the kings! We have a bit of both here in Australia, some very clearly American inspired stuff made back in the day but also lots of influence from UK stuff as well. Most steam locos used here in my state are very English looking and design, especially the earlier stuff with all firebox's between the frames and angled cylinders running Stephenson valve gear, super especially the lovely 3 cylinder pacifics we once had that sadly didn't not survive the dreaded torch. They did step it up in the twilight years with bigger fireboxs on top of the frames, walsharts and even the odd (i think we had a whole 2 classes of stoker fed locomotives in my state, one being a single example!)stoker fed locomotive! Like them all but naturally the local stuff is my favourite.
I’m getting this set and this was a comprehensive and thoroughly interesting review. Brilliant stuff!
Awesome!! Thanks so much for the kind comment - appreciate it mate!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Just brought this set off ebay excellent condition 🤞 my 1st journey into train sets since my dad brought me one in the 70’s and that wasn’t good 😌
Just got one of these. Like you said brilliant way to get into DCC. Looking forward to mine arriving and getting back into model rail road.
That's great to hear Chris - really hope you enjoy it, good luck!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
This was my first hornby loco that I got for Christmas.
That's amazing - what a brilliant way to start! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Great viewing, lying here in bed, on the east coast of America. When I get back, I will be getting in touch, with regards TLC of some of my locos
Thanks a lot mate, much appreciated! Ahh sounds good - feel free to get in touch whenever!
Cheers,
Sam :)
Only the 3f Jinty make it a very nice set. Good job again!
Oh yeah the Jinty is fantastic - glad you liked it Marco! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Have u heard of c&c workshops they made some great videos about a jinty
The A1 Class Peppercorn Tornado has love never been featured in a train set
The Tornado has indeed been in a train set!! :O
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Wow! That was amazing train set ever! But,in Malaysia, there is no train set like this. You know, I'm number 1 train set fan and I love your train set! Thanks!
Ahh sorry to hear there's nothing like this where you are - maybe Hatton's could deliver them to you?? :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Hatton does deliver to malaysia bro. I’m from Kl and have been ordering from them the past 3 years. Never disappoints ☺️
The biggest problem for us Malaysia is there are no local model trains... unless you are wiling to custom made them
I like the look of that ginty. Thing is I've got a panier tank with the same wheel set that hops off the track every time it goes over a switch
Thanks a lot mate - they are lovely Jinties! Ahh yes I remember seeing yours - that's very strange!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
That milk wagon is a beauty!
I know - best thing in the set!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Lovely video Sam! I love the work you put into these Amazing videos, it's incredible!
Keep up the good work Sam :D
Thanks very much mate - really lovely to have the videos appreciated, you're very kind!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I love that Jinty in the S&DJR blue.
Me too! A very smart livery on that one! :D
Happy new year,
Sam :)
I'd like to see this set sold in the United States, as Hornby only sells the Flying Scotsman and Mallard pullman sets for the American market!
That would be great actually - it's a shame they don't produce DCC stuff for the US, all they'd need to do is supply a different power supply!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Adapters are are cheaply available.
Sam'sTrains I agree, they should sell more trains for more people. Americans love Hornby trains. I for one would like the titfield thunderbolt
In a way Hornby does produce DCC stuff for the North American market but it's HO American locos and rolling stock under the Rivarossi brand name. It's a shame the British OO scale is not as popular but there are a few modelers of British railways in Canada and the U.S. and a few shops do carry OO Hornby and Bachmann.
There is a Canadian train show vendor that sells Hornby and Bachmann trains sets in OO and N scales. Google ModelRailwayImports, they ship to the US through Canada Post/US Mail. While their inventory isn't the largest in the world, they have one of the best in North America. Keep in mind they are basically operating out of their home garage, there is no retail hobby store. If they don't have a product in stock, they will do their best to get it from their British sources, although there are no guarantees. If the product is sold out, its difficult to get new stock... Its the same worldwide with any toy/model railway product... Because they get their product shipped to Canada from the UK, their prices are a bit steep... As the British are aware of buying American model trains in the UK from North American sources...
Great video! I've never had a starter set but I still like seeing them. :)
Thanks a lot mate! That's good to hear - I always find them lots of fun!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
That price is absolutely fantastic! I've never seen a deal that great before!
Thanks Aaron - me neither, it's just fantastic isn't it?? :3
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Good one, sam! My start for DCC was hornby’s ‘the majestic’ e-link set which I received for Christmas 2018.
Ooh that was a great set - lucky you mate! :D
Happy New Year,
Sam :)
I think you should check out some American locomotives such as, any CSX (boxcar logo is nice), Santa Fe war bonnet (F3), bnsf, and the Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive.
Yes I should - I'd really love that! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
What a great starting layout. Thanks for the review Sam.
Thanks a lot Terry - glad you liked it!
Cheers,
Sam :)
AWESOME!! I was thinking of buying one myself. Now I'm convinced, which wasn't hard. The only other one I thought of buying was a Bachmann Commander set
Ahh that's good to hear mate - most train sets are excellent, but I can especially recommend this one! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Sam'sTrains And HOLY TANKS!! PEPSI TANKERS?! Geez and I thought it was crazy when I saw some Duracell tankers
This is the greatest train set review Sam.
Thanks a lot mate - I think it probably is too! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Just catching up Sam. Nice review. I have been offered this set for an astoundingly good price so am looking forward to getting it. I presently run a short DCC layout with the Bachman Dynamis but it will be nice to have an alternative controller for contingencies! My new exhibition layout is in mind, baseboards built, and a more robust controller will be better for exhibition use, I expect. Glad to see you having a good day at Hattons. I hope you were able to recover your differences with them over the turntable issue. (I did intervene on your behalf as I have done business with the MD professionally, so I hope it was resolved to your satisfaction). all the best for the Christmas period and 2019!
haha thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! Ooh sounds brilliant - hope you really enjoy it mate! All the best with your exhibition layout too - hope it all goes well for you! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
1 half of the loop will have the long straight, the other half will have the terminal track and the point, the remaining straights (1 long and 1 short) are for the siding. That's how I set it up.
That sounds like a great setup - great idea!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
10.47 'Could you still call it a Toad?' No, you couldn't. TOAD was the telegraph code-word used by the Great Western Railway to indicate a brake-van for the company's internal rolling-stock management purposes. Other companies' brake-vans may have been loathsome to the GWR, but they were not Toads.
17.27 The 'running' board' is actually the solebar, but we know what you mean. An interesting point is that with all these milk tankers, the tanks themselves were owned by the milk distribution companies, but the actual 'wagons' -- the underframes and so on -- were owned by the railway companies. That's why the solebar is lettered LMS underneath an IMS tank. Beautiful model.
Thanks for an excellent review. Perhaps you now have enough material to set up a separate index to cover train-set and train-pack ratings.
Beautiful set, Sam! Do more of these amazing Loco reviews! 😉😉😉
Thanks so much mate - I will do more soon! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Also the locos were
. CR pug
. Q1
. Tornado
. Flying Scotsman
. "Baby castle"
And the odd one out is the Q1
KOOTPGB
Very well spotted with those King! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
My first ever DCC loco was also the BR green mallard lol
Ooh fantastic - just like me then! What a great way to start! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Sam, please review Hornby R1236 Mixed Traffic Digital Train Set, at some point in the future. This train set includes two locomotives, 7 plank open wagon, ventilated van, iron ore wagon and a TTA tanker.
Absolutely Jacob - I'll do my best! :D
Very interesting. There is another DCC train set I have seen with a Jinty and an 08 diesel which can be found at a reasonable price. I am sticking with DC for now.
Yes absolutely - it's only about £40 more expensive too - astonishing value! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
That tanker would so fit my layout, its got the same couplers too
I agree - such an awesome tanker, versatile too! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I love model trains like these especially the British ones i wish i had one but i need to be old enough sense im only 15 years old also im a big fan sam
Nice set Sam - thanks for the video.
I’m going to England in a month! When I go to hattons I’ll look for it!
Ooh fantastic - hope you have a good time! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Sam'sTrains Thanks, by the way can you review the mixed freight Set?
I love the livery on the jinty. Somerset and Dorset Prussian blue is a beautiful livery. Nice review and the rolling stock is a bit lacking, not in quality, but in quantity.
Me too Edward - it is a fantastic livery for sure! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I love the s d j r loco hopefully getting it for Christmas love your video's Sam great work
I do too!! Ooh fantastic - fingers crossed for santa! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
That train set is great it looks good the somerset belle it's one of the best train set I think
Thanks a lot Harry - yes I'd agree! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Seems like a legit set, great for beginners! :D
Thanks mate - I agree, definitely a great option for a beginner on DCC! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
What a lovely set!
For a beginner I would say it was excellent for the £130.
Just quickly I would like to make a locomotive suggestion.
I have recently purchased a Hornby class 50, the class 50 is fifty edition. She isn't stupidly expensive online and is remarkably well detailed. Maybe worth a look?
Thanks for reading my comment as always.
Keep up the good work
William
Thanks a lot William, glad you thought so! Thanks very much for the tip - I will indeed have a look! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I personally think you need to review More hornby sets!
Funny how the tanker is the most detailed thing in the set.
Nice train set Sam :)
haha yeah it's very odd - not complaining though! ;D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
They recently upped the price on Hatton to over 200 pounds.
This was my first trainset.
Yay some more train set review
Yes!! I thought it was time I did another train set :3
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
My layout runs on DC, but I'm hoping by the end of this year i can get this set and convert. Also I think Jintys are awesome.
Fantastic Eddie - the current Hatton's price is fantastic, so feel free to check it out! haha yeah - the Hornby Jinties are awesome :3
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
You should look at either the Bachmann Echo Valley Express set or the Bachmann Thunder Chief set
Thanks for the idea William - I'll look into that! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
The Jinty is a very nice colour. I would like to compare the size of it to my 0-4-0 GWR 101 Class tank engine from the Western Freight Hauler train set. Looking forward to more videos, I'll be keeping an eye open for them :)
Thanks a lot mate - I really like the prussian blue too! Hope you enjoy what's to come! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Great video Sam definitely didn't expect a train set review
Cheers David - I thought it was about time I did another! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Looks like an old Lima moulding their 3 axle milk waggons look very similar :)
except they hadnt NEM couplings ...
I'm pretty sure that isn't an ex-Lima one - it looks much more detailed!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I've seen that at a shop near but my layout is full of locos and rolling stock and they are all DC but it's one for later...
Also I've been on it's classmate no 23 at the Midland railway centre at Butterley
Ahh really? That sounds brilliant! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Sam'sTrains yep she had just came back from an overhaul I think and she was gleaming with a new coat of prussian blue.
The Q1 has never come in a set to my knowledge.
Correct! That's the odd one out!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
It should
@@SamsTrains I love your videos and your layout!
Good video Sam. To answer your question about the brake van, I think Toad brakevans only came from the GWR and had one 1 end or "cab" if you will for the guard. Hope that helps. :) (Also, sorry if this' a copy of another comment, I think my computer had a problem).
Hi Patrick, thanks very much for clarifying this - I did have a feeling that this may be the case!!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
this set might be my first dcc set if I ever get one XD but seriously its great value for money
Ooh for sure - I can definitely recommend them, especially for the right price! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
I love trains 😍
Me too! :D
You can't help but wonder how Hornby's collecctive mind works. Three LMS wagons with an SDJR loco (two different periods). An enormous brake van designed for long tains? Hornby do produse smaller LMS brake vans. This would make more sense with an 0-4-0 loco and a smaller van. Surely Somerset Belle suggests a passenger train? I think the word is 'lugubrious'.
I wonder this too Dave - haha!!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Hi Sam! Ooo this is a nice set, would be one of them perfect first time sets, also, my friend recently got a really nice bunch of N gauge stuff and I'm starting to get a bit jealous XD I do have some N gauge but I only look out for bargains but he got a Class 57 in First Great Western for £35...
Cheers!
Ed.
Hey Ed - glad you liked the sets - ooh N gauge stuff? That sounds awesome!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Mine arrives tomorrow 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁!
That's awesome mate - hope you like it! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Beautiful jinty!
Thank you! :D
Great vid. Thanks for sharing this information with us sam!😊😀😃
No problem at all mate, my pleasure!
Cheers,
Sam :)
I was very disappointed to find out that after 2 days, it was £210.99 on the HORNBY website, but, then, I checked the hattons website and, mercifully, it was only £130. So, that really was a relief!
haha absolutely - you'll find the Hatton's prices are much better! Did you go for it??
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I’ll admit.... as much as it tempted me, Sam, I was just browsing. I’m kinda more (pretty much only) interested in an N gauge DCC train set. While I love ‘em, I don’t have the space for OO. Besides, N gauge is too cute to resist. (Even looking at them is good).
Cool train set Sam
Thanks Gio!! :D
HEY SAM I THINK YOU SHOULD DO A RUNNING SECTION WITH YOUR FIRST DCC LOCOMOTIVES
That's a very good idea AJ - I'll do that some time! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Technically its a START-SET, not a train-set and i don't know how correct an SDJR loco with an LMS train, but fine. My 1st (and only) digital start-set is the Roco 41340 (google it) mix traffic set, that for its 160 EUR (~140 GBP) price had a ridiculously good substance, without any cheap component (1x high detailed BR 112 Bo'Bo' diesel loco ,2x4 axle coaches, 1x4 axle wagon with load, 2x2 axle wagons with working doors, 1x lock-maus 3 (multi-maus) + set, "geo-line" oval track set with 2 points). And yes it works with both Hornby and Bachmann decoders (at least with the ones i have)
Thanks for the comment Tom - what's the difference between a train set and starter set? Ahh sounds like a great set - I will look that one up! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Well...
Our model-shops define the following:
Train-set: A set that contains one, or more (railway) motive vehicle with rolling-stock that matches in livery, era, and history. Might also contains matching buildings, figurines, and other accessories. (so no power supply, or controller included, more of a serious modeler/collector's set)
Start(er)-set: A set that contains one, or more (railway) motive vehicle, with all the basic accessories that needed for a "ready to run" out of the box setup(/layout). (tracks, and controller always included, and maybe more, the point is that u don't need anything else to run the train that is in the set).
Awesome video, I would buy this set just for that Jinty locomotive
haha thanks mate - I can definitely recommend it anyway, it's a great set! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Just put this with an LBSCR E2 tank engine. You would have a great pair here.
That's true! They would look great together! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
hi sam. good video.great train set, I have a r2882 jinty and find it very good. I got it for under 30 pounds as new.
Hi Peter, thanks a lot - ah yes £30 is excellent for these, glad you like it!
Cheers,
Sam :)
Keep up the great work Sam.
Thanks a lot Adam! :D
Long time no see Sam last time I commented was 4 months ago and I have the exact locomotive but I did damage the body for a display in the works
Hey mate, nice to see you again! Ahh sorry to hear that - hopefully you managed to get it sorted out??
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
That's a great train set
Thanks Justin - I'm really pleased with it too! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Unfortunately the Hornby Select DCC controller isn't able to download software upgrades. A Select has to be shipped to Hornby in the UK. From America that is not cheap. Hornby do make better DCC controllers, both the Elite and Elink controllers can be upgraded online from your home. Basically the Select is sold as a introductory train set controller. Not much different than the Hornby DC controller, there are much more powerful and better controllers in the marketplace...
To Bad hornby dont sell separate pieces here in the US, the only things by hornby sold here are the Hogwarts Express, Mallard, and Flying Scotsman. EDIT: these are sets by the way......
I think you should be able to order them from Hatton's still - they ship to the US!! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Brilliant set. Great review . Is that electrofrog or insulfrog points? Would that make a difference to whether the loco stops on the points?
Cheers Sam.
Thanks a lot Robert - these are insulfrogs, which does account for the cutting out!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
There is a Jinty at the Severn valley railway and I've seen it.
Ooh that's fantastic - great to hear you've actually seen one! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
If Hornby put coaches at lower pries btween 10 an 15 pounds, trucks about half that, and small (040 or 060-locos 20-40 pounds it would introduce more people to the hobby, and allows younger people to expand easily. Personally, I can only pick up things if i ave massively
Yeah I agree Rory - I'd love to see the Railroad coaches sold more reasonably, for sure!!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
The brand is Athearn
Ooh nice! :D
Hi Sam just to let you know that some pre-owned like new locomotives from Hattons can have problems mainly down to the previous owner of the model not being honest
Yeah this is true - but Hatton's do their best to inspect models, but in the event of an issue, they do have a great returns service!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
what a nice train set
Thanks a lot Jinty! :D
bought mine of ebay for £110 the only issue was the milk tanker was missing its couplings otherwise its an excellent set
Ahh excellent value for £110 - hopefully you got some replacement couplings??
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
wow, great video Sam!
also, is that sam's trains merch you're wearing? if so I'm glad you took my suggestion into consideration :)
Where can i buy one? ;)
Thanks very much mate! No sadly I don't sell any merch, but I may look into it one day! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Great value for the money Sam..........John.
Thanks a lot John, glad you thought so! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Awesome video today Sam keep up the great work
Thanks so much James, much appreciated! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Hi Sam, a great, balanced and fair review as always, although I'd have felt it was more complete if you'd laid the track out too. Also, for newbies, the "express points" and "TTF (?) sound" comments weren't readily understood. Please don't leave us non-specialist fans of your channel behind.
Thanks a lot Rob, yeah I should do that next time, good idea! At the very beginning, I included a link to a video that explains all about DCC, TTS sound and everything else - so check that out if you'd like to learn about it! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Thanks for the nice reply Sam! I shall have to look up TTF etc (you've recently explained DCC but TTF and express points were new terms for me). Every hobby seems to have its jargon... I can only imagine that a discussion between two enthusiasts at a railway modelling fair would be impenetrable to the uninitiated :-).
this is a great review And will you plan on getting the country flyer set? It's good:)
Thanks Arthur - yes it looks a great set to me, I've never owned one personally though!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
a nice lil set, will there be more? and what will you do with the rest? the engine and rolling stock and track is easy to keep but what about the rest?
Thanks mate! Yes I may do more train sets too, the rest? Do you mean the packaging??
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
You should review the bachmann midland marvel set
I have it and it’s a really detailed loco and wagons
Oh that sounds like a great one - I'll definitely look into that, thanks a lot! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
Great video Sam. I have a question are there hornby railroad DCC models and does DCC ready mean I can just put it on the track and it runs or do I need to add a decoder.
There have been some Railroad DCC models yeah - quite a few TTS ones too! DCC ready means you can indeed just run them on DC - for DCC, you'd need to fit a decoder!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Nani? What’s this? Sam reviews a train set? Did not see this coming
haha!! ;D
Great review! Long time no see Sam!
Thanks a lot mate! And welcome back to you! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
