Yes, the first year is about keeping babies ALIVE! the second year is fun because now you see baby THRIVING and interacting with her world and you are sharing in the joy and wonder of those experiences. They sleep a little deeply now because they are so physically and mentally stimulated! My babies are 24 and 26 now, and these milestones and your stories are imbedded in my mind. Parenting is hard AF, but the rewards (thank God) outweigh the challenges. You grow as they grow in so many ways. Thanks for sharing the reality of the parenting merry go round.

Both of you need to take time for each other; being new parents with limited outside help has strained your relationship (you do your best to not show it, but it shows). You both need to re-experience each other and work on your marital relationship. Get a babysitter and step back. We're rooting for you.

Yayyy to 1 year of parenting🎉🎉!! You both have leveled up to another phase of parenting. :) After 1 year, both the child and parents gain independence. One thing I like about parenting is that we get to reinvent ourselves over and over as we go through along with our childrens growth journey 😊😊😊

I love that you guys keep I real. Being a parent is not easy but it is rewarding. That first year for me was hell. The father of my child left when she was just 10 months old. I fell into terrible depression. I didn’t want to do anything or go anywhere. I even lost me job. I survived that then 11 years later I got my son in 2020 and now 2 years later it’s still hard on me. Thankfully I have a more flexible job this time around and my daughter is older now she can s able to assist me. My husband works away from home. I don’t feel like myself I feel like a prisoner attached to my baby who I love unconditionally no questions. It’s just hard. Seeing that I’m not the only one is refreshing and gives me hope. Being a parent affects so many different aspects of our life and each partner is affected differently and i feel like most time the mother is the one to suffer.
It gets better sis! My son turned one in august and it’s sooooo this stage is sooo enjoyable! And he’s finally sleeping through the night! Hang in there

We can really see in the video how much the entire family (Maya, Max and Saga) has grown after just 1 year, it's so crazy!
