Is it worth considering keeping the right arm straighter on the out swing so your rod is not drifting back chasing the lead on the backswing?

What beach do you fish from and where is your club because I live in Hull and used to fish in a couple of sea fishing clubs i used to be in West Hull Sea Fishing and also Preston Sea fishing Club Fishing on the East Coast

Nice looking rod Tony, I would like to know more about the tips, are they carbon, carbon/glass insert or glass tip ? I assume it is rung for fixed spool only or is there a multiplier version that would be great. Good luck with the sales mate.

The Holy Bible of long distance casting is the Book, Long Distance Casting BY JOHN Holden, this book teaches you everything you need to know, starting with the off ground cast , using body rotation, shows you how to use your arms to pull the rod through javelin style, and the pull and push of the arms, when you have mastered this technique, you move on to the pendulum cast, i bought this book many years ago, and learnt through this book, how to cast a very long way with my ABU 484 Fiber Glass Rod, which i still fish with, and holds itself up to most off the carbon Rods, that are in the hands of people who don't no how to cast, they pay £600 Quid for a Rod but don't no how to cast , if you get the chance, get the book Long Distance Casting by John Holden, it will change your casting ability from Novice , to Great, with just a little practice..

Absolutely great video, Ive never seen a pendulum canst done like that before, never knew it existed , what a revelation, Ive been casting the pendulum for years, i bought the Book, Long Distance casting, , by John Holden, a great book by the way , and following the book i managed to learn the pendulum cast, but never in my wildest dreams , have i ever seen such a way off swinging the lead out over the rod and casting out, if your someone who can already do the pendulum cast, it shouldn't take much in the way off converting your normal pendulum, it will be just the flick over with the lead, and the feet maneuver, to practice , the arms should take care off themselves, has you will already know the pull through like a javelin, pull down ,and flick over, wish he would write a book like John Holden, i for one would purchase it, good luck ,JC.
