@11:23 the owner stated he didn't like driving the Prowler at night because the modified turn signals aren't very bright. But wouldn't that still be the case during the daytime? Because the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are right above the turn-signal lights, and on [all the time] during the day, which I think would obscure the brightness of the turn signal lights at any time - day or night. I have the original numbers and like them. And they have ‘bright’ turn signals built into them. Either way, I like both looks. And speaking of lighting. Has anyone ever experimented with replacing the Tail Light bulbs (or any exterior bulbs) with LED's ? And as far as the Front license plate goes, what a shame that Canada and some US states require a Front license plate. Because it Ugly's up any vehicle. I'm in Arizona and we don't have a Front license plate and it really makes all vehicles look so much better.
Hi Dennis, regarding the DRL's, I'm not sure if the inner headlight bulbs, which are used for the brights, were wired up in Canada to work as DRL's when the cars were new. I know Canada required them long before the U.S. did, so some older car models had their brights double as DRL's in the daytime (nowadays almost every car has DRL's separate from the headlights). But only a small percentage of Prowlers when new were designated for the Canadian market, and it's likely many Canadian Prowler owners are not the first owner and have a car that was first sold in the U.S. As far as LED's, yes, I believe some owners have tried switching either the head or taillights with LED's. If you check the search option on prowleronline.com's discussion board, you may find some examples. Thankfully I live in Michigan which also doesn't require a front plate. I feel bad for those that live where it is required, as I agree it ruins the look.
@29:22 I agree with him on the 253 HP engine, it's powerful enough for the Prowler. I love my '99 Prowler and it scares me sometimes when I'm on full throttle and it hits 2nd gear, with the all aluminum chassis. People always underestimate this car. I have never lost a street race yet, against [any] Hemi, Mustangs of all sorts, and more.
Hey Yuri, I'd love to do an episode with you ! Too bad I live in Michigan and they're restricting travel across the border, so I can't do a video in person any time soon. But we could do a Zoom call. My email is pomeara1234@gmail.com. Hope to see you and Jakub in Texas in October!!
@@YuriTereshyn sweet! I am near Toronto and I'm looking for my dream car as well!!! Currently hunting for a black or blue Prowler in the next few weeks. Can't wait to drive one. I've loved these cars ever since I laid my eyes on them. I've only known one person who's had one. Got to sit in it once! Was so cool!
For what it's worth the turn signal bulb that comes with my turn signal relocation kit is the same bulb as the original lamp had and is plenty bright enough. It is very visible in the daytime so naturally it would be very visible at night.
Thanks for the great videos! Subscribed, I'm looking to buy a Prowler in the next week or two, I've joined POA, live near Toronto if you can give me any helpful hints on where to look for my dream car, I'd be very grateful!
If you live near Toronto, maybe you've seen Yuri's. Back when I did my Zoom call with him, he said he hadn't seen any other Prowlers in the area since he got his. They are definitely more rare in Canada than in the U.S. Be prepared to travel to find one. How far depends on how specific the specs are of the car you want. Not sure if Canadians are allowed to cross the border but most Americans cannot travel to Canada. If you joined the POA, post some details on what you're looking for and you'll probably get lots of advice back. Thanks to the internet it's easy to search for one, the harder part is the potential long travel to make a deal.
I didn't understand, is this Prowler an American or Canadian car. The Canadian has the daytime driving lights. I believe there is an extra module in Canadian cars.
Hi Dale, I checked with James and his car was first sold in the U.S., so it does not have the daytime running lamps. Robin must have been at least the second owner.

@@patrickomeara9420 Thanks Pat, good point about the DRL's.

There's no way the Prowler can beat stock 450-500 hp in the cars you listed. Impossible even with far less weight.
Great video my dudes! no regrets on my yellow prowler. When can I be on an episode?

I have a red 1999 Prowler. When I drive 🚗 it, people ask what it is. Most people have never seen one.
