    Do you remember what size tires he had on that car? I have a '69 Camaro that I just bought and am replacing the coilovers because the current ones are shot and the tires rub. It has a SBC 350 in it and I'm wondering what spring rate to get. Thanks!

      Just trying a new format. It's tough to get hours of video into a 7 minute video and still show all the work. When you are in stop action the audio shuts off so I stop occasionally to highlite important stuff.

    Not to be picky, but , why did you take off the brakes? If you leave everything attached to the upper spindle and A-arm, once the lower A-arm is separated from the spindle, take a piece of 2x4x4 inches stuff it under the upper A-arm and it keeps everything tidy and out of the way, thus saving time and energy taking things apart that don’t need be removed, plus the brake hoses don’t get stretched and kinked. Just my observation.(My 2 cents worth)

    I shouldn't have to tell you this but you never let a calliper hang by the hose! That's really not setting a good example to your viewers.

    Very nice car. I am considering the same coilovers for my 1st gen. After a year of having your QA1's, would you still say you like them? Gave pros and cons for daily cruising, and performance driving? Thanks for your response, any information would be appreciated.

    @Pete's Garage I'm about to do the same to my 69 Camaro but with DSE control arms and coilovers. I noticed you didn't have to enlarge the hole at the top of the shock mount. Is this specific to DSE or did you do off camera?

    • @PetesGarage
      @PetesGarage  3 роки тому +1

      I combined with Wilwood 6 piston front brake kit install... Pretty straight forward but had some stuck factory bolts that fought to stay on the car. Particularly the spindle bolts. Thanks for the video.

    Hey Pete. At the end of the video when he starts it up at about 6:05. Is that normal, where is sounds like it has a little trouble and then knocks once. My 350 in my 77 c10 does the exact same thing, its my first project so my knowledge is lacking haha. Thanks

    • @PetesGarage
      @PetesGarage  6 років тому

      Yes, the engine was warm, so it turns over until the next piston gets to top dead center, compresses, and the plug fires.
