great channel , you guys :) Hi from Sofia. Bulgaria looks so lovely from a foreigner's perspective. It's very refreshing to see the awe and admiration of the nature ;) We tend to forget sometimes what treasures we have
It seems that the black cat is the guardian of Tsarevets. The name comes from Tsar (King) and it means "the city of the Kings". For the Medieval times measures it was a big city and was among the main European centres of culture. It's the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. The cat looks just like the king there and as such he accepted you as special guests :)
@@JordanandEmily To be more accurate I will cite what wikipedia says: "Tsar (/zɑːr, sɑːr/ or /tsɑːr/), also spelled czar, tzar, or csar, was a title used by East and South Slavic monarchs. The term is derived from the Latin word caesar,[2] which was intended to mean "emperor" in the European medieval sense of the term-a ruler with the same rank as a Roman emperor, holding it by the approval of another emperor or a supreme ecclesiastical official (the Pope or the Ecumenical Patriarch)-but was usually considered by Western Europeans to be equivalent to "king".[3][4] It lends its name to a system of government, tsarist autocracy or tsarism. Tsar and its variants were the official titles of First Bulgarian Empire (681-1018), Second Bulgarian Empire (1185-1396), the Kingdom of Bulgaria (1908-1946), the Serbian Empire (1346-1371), and the Tsardom of Russia (1547-1721). The first ruler to adopt the title tsar was Simeon I of Bulgaria.[5] Simeon II, the last tsar of Bulgaria, is the last person to hold this title." Bulgy is the Tsar in Tsarevets! 🤣
We have just done a road trip I. Bulgaria. So many beautiful places and we often got the comment that we were the first Aussies that had visited. Had a wonderful time.
Thats so nice! We love it when we get comments like that, it makes us feel like we are in a bit of an undiscovered gem! Glad you enjoyed your Bulgaria road trip! 😀
This would have to be my favourite, I know I say that a lot but the places your visiting just get better and better. Loved the history of the fortress and it looked huge. You nailed it with your description of the streets, it definitely looked like it was from a Disney movie, just beautiful, but the best part was having a chaperone, how cute was he and so funny he kept following you and waiting for you. Stay safe, miss you both, love you, mum.xx 🐈⬛
Jordan and EMily, I've spent the weekend binge-watching your Romania/Bulgaria travels. At what time of year were you there? I'm travelling solo in October (I'm from Australia), and I'm wondering about the temperature. I've learnt so much from your videos- thank you.
That makes us feel so happy ☺️We were in Romania in August and Bulgaria in October! If we were picking again we'd say try to aim for October, the leaves changing in Bulgaria were just gorgeous!
fantastic video and we got to see the famous warrior Queen Emily - sure is a lot better when you start early in the morning , those who sleep in don't know what their missing . great job thanks
The beer you drank (Bolyarka) is basically the cheapest and my least favourite brand of beer in Bulgaria. Typically tourists should reach for something like Kamenitza, Zagorka, Pirinsko, Shumensko, those are the top 4 beer brands in Bulgaria. Personally, I am a Shumensko Bombichka (Grenade) kind of guy.
The art style is actually from the communist period from what I understand. The interior of the church was repainted sometime when the communist/socialist were in power. Kind of a workers / less Christian vibe to it.
There’s some great editing and cinematography here but this could have been a 5 minute video. Too much pointless filler like at 7:50 you literally tell us about what we just saw and heard and this happens several times in the video.
Is this a thing? we are genuinely receiving fraudulent likes from somewhere but youtube keeps telling us it's not a problem! if you know anything about it and how to fix it please let us know!
Starting at 9:45 might be the best 10 seconds of any video on UA-cam.
🤣 Haha! thanks for watching ☺️

Thanks so much! We had such an amazing time in Bulgaria and can't wait to visit again!

It may be very cold, but it is a beautiful place, so much to see and I love the narrow streets Glad to see you made friends with the ‘locals’
It really is! Such a beautiful place, one of our favourites so far 😀
Great video and the thing with the cat is funny and they have such a funny personality like yeah I don't care but I kind of do just don't tell anybody
Made us laugh so much like yeah I guess we can be friends but I really don’t care so don’t think I do 😹😹

Hi Emily and Jordan. Emily, your dad just told me about your site, now looking forward to seeing your adventures. Sandy xx (your neighbour at H.C.)
Hello Sandy!! We will probably see you in December when we are home ☺️
@@JordanandEmily Excellent.
3:03 That’s my high school behind you. (Yes that yellow building that looks like an asylum is my high school😂)
Hahahah no way! That's so funny 😁

🤣 warrior queen!
Completely agree, it's the best starting the day early! 😊
What is the name of the hotel where you drink beer?
We had a look at a map to try and remember, it was either 'hotel panorama' or some place very close to there! 😄
1st ❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Go to : Dryanovo monestry, Tryavna, Bojenci village, Etar
We missed this unfortunately 😔 next time!

Eventually we tried a few while we were there and we agree, this one wasn't the best but it certainly was the cheapest! 😄
Ariana too
8:29 The black cat will be your guide, just follow him !
Money can’t buy experience 😂
IN BULGARIA THERE ARE MANY BEAUTIFUL PLACES TO VISIT!
Couldn't agree more 😀 deceptively big country and so gorgeous!
I have a confession. While I appreciate the travel vlog I'm really here for the random cat content.
😂😂😂 get ready because we are in Turkey now and it has somehow gone to a whole new level 🐱

Oh wow, didn't know that! Thanks! 😊
There were originally two horseriders and a sword but people made fun of it, so they added two more. 😁
Stuff that never happened.
😂😂
