Can you record telephone conversations with your clients without their consent? 🙄

This is a tricky area with a number of laws applying and if you don’t know the legal position, you can get into some big trouble💩
The general rule is that if you want to record conversations with clients you need their consent. 😬
However there are a number of exceptions where you do not need to obtain their consent - BUT you still need to notify them of the fact that you are recording the conversation and your purposes for doing so. 😳
Those exceptions include recording for training and monitoring purposes and also for establishing the existence of facts relevant to the business eg what the details of the services to be provided are. 👍
Though BONUS TIP: if you are selling services, by law you need to include the main features of those services in your terms of business. 💪
