If you have the plant stand in a spot that had lower light, a pythos or spider plant are great & easy to care for. 😊
As far as plants go, I’ve found that the plastic ones require a lot less watering.
And they don't die on you like those pesky live ones do.😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Still gotta dust em. Or not.
I never found plastic plants that actually looked real until I saw the plants at Ikea. I now happily have plants all around my house that don't need water and will never die 😊
You had me at "THESE"
😂
These nuts
😂😂😂 exactly
😂😂😂
😂
A peace lily would be a great plant, the leaves will lower when it needs water and its great for the air in your house.
Lilies are not at all ok if you have cats... even the pollen is toxic to them js.
Peace lilies are almost indestructible ‼️ Thanks for showcasing all of these bargains 🤩👏🏻🎶
A Peace lily aka closet plant is great for low light and it actually ‘tells’ you when it’s thirsty. It’ll start wilting. Give it a drink and within a few hours it’ll perk right back up! No direct sun! Full shade. It’ll give you beautiful white Lilies.
Aldi's got it going on.
I know right!
I'm watching this video thinking, I really need to get there and grab some of these seemingly great deals! I can't remember the last time I've been inside an Aldi but with this economy - I'm there!
2024 - "The year of the laundry baskets" Lol. I'm still obsessed with the solar lights 😎❤️
I’m headed there in about 30 minutes, I’m excited to hopefully see few of these there!
Tbh I would like some solar lights this year
I tell my weekends, "Have a great Matt".
Hahaha
😂😂😂
I would recommend a pothos and a ZZ plant. Please don’t use Ice cubes to water ANY type of plant. The plants we buy are all tropical and can’t handle the ice melting
Yes pothos!! I had a couple that kept growing and lasted 20 years!!!! Just clip them back!
Along those lines, I don't use cold water when watering -- try to keep it tepid.
Oooooo! a ZZ plant would look really nice in that plant stand
@@thatclobear3855you’re making things up
Best vertical plant for low light and forgetting to water: Dracaena trifasciata, still often sold as "sansevieria," aka "snake plant" and "mother-in-law tongue."
If you prefer a vine type, try pothos.
Spider plants are easy care.
just what i was thinking
Matt, give ZZ plants a try (they almost take care of themselves): Low light & low water tolerant and their leaves are very shiny.
4:17 2 weeks ago all of that laundry organization was $20 in a 5 piece set. Good thing I stocked up. 7.99 for each piece is crazy
I stocked on 2 sets of those too!
They knew he was coming.
Darn!! 😟
Laundry/ loungerie bags : I concur! Great quality bags. I did the same comparison- Dollar store bags didn’t last 2 washes.
Huh. My Dollar Store laundry bags have lasted 3+ years.
"I am the male version of Martha Stewart at this point."😂
My guess is your tree is root bound and could use a repotting. It’s quite large tree, really three trees, for such a small soil area. Love your videos thank you!
I had three trees twisted like that… actually two died, but now the third is LARGE and thriving! I give it some miracle gro fertilizer once every other month.
It is nice to see you cover ALDI. I worked at ALDI Corporate Buying for 20 years.
Is it sad that that sounds like my dream job 😂
Because of this video, i bought the dry/ wet vacuum 2 days ago. So far so good.
FYI. The plastic hat form to wash hats have been around for more than 20 years. They go into the dishwasher, not with dirty food dishes, and come out spotless and perfect.
Yes they have been around for 20 years, but I have never bothered to track one down. However, if my local Aldi’s gets them, I’ll buy one, now about the dishwasher…
You could always Google where can I buy a plastic hat form for hats.
@11:13 Don't store your coffee in clear glass, if you keep it on the counter. The light is supposed to make the coffee less fresh.
I had the samosas last year; they're very tasty. Also, please never use ice on "tropical" plants. It's a way for nurseries to sell more plants, since the cold/shock will unalive the plant.
"Unalive?" That's a new word for me. Did you just make thar up or has it been around for a while and I'm just out of the linguistics loop?
Somebody on an NGA forum (National Gardening Association) posted that this had been researched and disproven, at least with regards to orchids. The ice melts slowly enough that the water reaching the roots isn't cold. I'd still try to keep the ice cube from touching leaves & stems.
Hat washing frame works even better when placed in top rack of dishwasher!!!
Smart
Wow! I might go back and get one, now. I kept thinking that that frame would surely be rough on the other clothing in the wash. Dishwasher is perfect.
We don't have Aldi's in my city, but I watch all your videos. You're doing a great service for the shoppers looking for deals 👍 thank you
Road trip?!
The best beginner plant for anyone would be Pothos. It thrives on neglect - water every other week.
Gotta agree. Those plants are really hardy.
They actually thrive on water, but they will deal with not having water for up to 3 weeks
The silicone scrub gloves can be used to wash a dog that has short hair ..
I love that idea !
That's how I wash my 2 fur baby 's @@suedefringe
I don't live in the Sam's or Aldi areas; but I love watching your presentations and laughing at your puns and not puns.
Great job.... the 2 pk laundry bags. I use them for produce in my refrigerator. Veggies last longer in them bag
💡 everything lasts longer in a bag
I LOVE the Sterlite storage totes! I’ve used them for years to store my fabric and yarn, since I live in the Houston area, and the humidity is pretty much year round. I didn’t know Aldi carried them. I’ve always bought them at Walmart.
They usually don't. I think it's an 'Aldi Find' so will be there for a limited time.
Omg, anything is better than walmart.
I think he mentioned they were new to Aldi. I’ve been shopping there ever since they came to my town and have never seen them. Actually pretty much everything in the
2-2 1/2 aisles set aside for the home section are limited to the Wednesday they go onto the shelves to the following Wednesday when the stock is switched out. Whatever didn’t get sold is marked down and I’m not sure how long it stays out. If you missed something you wanted you can probably count on it not being available for another year. That’s not a hard and fast rule it’s just something I’ve noticed. Another thing I’ve learned about Aldi…if you see something you want get it. Stuff “flys off the shelves” like Matt said and you can just about count on it not being available until STNY (same time next year).
A nice plant for the plant holder you purchased would be Dracaena trifasciata aka snake plant or mother in law tongue. Easy to grow and can survive with very little water and sun.
I came here to say this, but I saw a different name for it that’s difficult for me to remember how to spell… Sanseviestra or something close to that. Water them once a month (I do on the first), and apparently they’re great at releasing oxygen. I have a 4” one I got at Aldi’s, but I want to get a bunch more.
The garden gloves you showed work as curry mitt for my 2 cats! I love them bc the hair stays put until I’m ready to clean then off. Excellent! Thanks Matt and hello to your family❤
Aloe vera plant is in the cactus family and needs no attention only water about once a month or so.
That grow light is also great for anybody that needs a light fix in winter. Aim it towards your forehead while you eat, work on your screen, etc. give it about 15-30 minutes and it will help.
I actually spent so much time researching this and ended up purchasing two clamp work lights from Menards and some great plant light bulbs from Amazon for equivalent pricing. They don't look as nice but most of those grow lights you can't replace the bulbs and you end up throwing out the entire thing.
The grow lights shown in this video are LED, so they should last around 50,000 hours (over 2000 continuous days of running the light). Yes, eventually they’ll burn out, but maybe we’ll have invented something even better by then 😂
In theory, that's the right idea. Except LED lights are so incredibly unhealthy! It's possible to do more harm than good. Better to get incandescent or halogen bulbs for light therapy.
@@evshrug well that's IF the product lasts that long. 😄
@@buffalodrummergirl I believe you’re mixing up LED lights and LCD screens with too much blue spectrum light. You can get LED lights with high color accuracy (closer to natural sunlight than halogen), flicker-free, and even warm tinted like incandescent lights (or with low blue light output). Buuuuut these lights here probably are more optimal for plant growth than light treatment.
After the holidays I take a 2 month spending freeze. I am HAPPY to be back!
Yes on unemployment pay
Love the Aldi and Costco videos. Only problem is that you find such good stuff! Too tempting!😊
For a plant for your home, my best suggestion is a plastic one (at least that's what works best for me. LOL! Great video, as always. Thanks, Matt!
I recommend a snake plant. They thrive on neglect, or at least mine has.
The everything bagel seasoning stuffed mushrooms are excellent.
ZZ plants are low maintenance and mostly happy to be left alone. Snake plants are also beginner friendly and don't need a lot of attention. Both would look great in your new planter if you can find a mature plant in a larger pot.
Some awesome stuff! I'm thinking about purchasing the window vacuum....🤔
Grandma has a similar device to the string-pull chopper and it’s great for making quick chunky salsas. (I always think I want one, but I find dicing with a knife to be cathartic and relaxing. lol)
I haven't ever heard of a window vacuum before. What neat new items.
Thanks and may you have a Blessed day.
We wash the ball cap holder in the top of the dishwasher. It works great.
I saw the window vac..anyone tried this?
I also admit to being unable to resist the plant stamd and that ottoman! 😂 Thanx Matt!
No. I bought it Wednesday, using it today. It is solidly built. Most similar products are $40-$60. I'll report back.
I’m wondering about the window vacuum as well….
I went yesterday to buy one at my store and they are gone 😩😩. I wish we could buy stuff online from them
Try to repot your plant with some potting soil with miracle grow in it. That way you get extra nutrients to your plant.
Agreed on a bigger pot and MiracleGro… potting soil usually has rich nutrients when you first plant in it, but after plants start to get going we need to replenish nutrients to those pots once every month or two. It is possible to OVER fertilize though, the leaves will take on a yellow “burn” look that spreads from the edges.
@@evshrug …that is possible or it’s possible his plant is root bound and not either getting enough light or too much. Several factors weigh in and since we don’t know the specifics, hard to really help.
My pick for a plant? Artificial is the way to go. Throw in the sink, spray, shake and dry on a towel. Presto! Natural looking once more.😆
Window vacuum is the answer to the problem that nobody had.
Maybe you like having a dirty house but I don’t & the windows being crumby drives me bonkers
I've had one plant in my lifetime that was pretty much indestructible. A money plant!! I got mine from Ikea, but occasionally they have them at Aldi. As long as you give it sunlight and water it at least once a week, it will grow like a weed. Mine was just a tiny sprig and it was at least 4 times the size in a year. It kept growing so much so that I had to re-pot it multiple times. It was the size of a shrub by the time I gave it away.
The bamboo plant plant stand would be perfect for throw blankets!
The device that was shown to wash hats. Just put it on the top rack of your dishwasher
Omg great idea!!!
You are a genius, tks so much😊
I love the segues lol....they're very clever!
Looking forward to trying the laundry bags. The ones from $ Tree fall apart with 1st use.
Hat mold, you can also use it in top rack of dishwasher. In the past I washed many hats this way.
Peace Lilly grows very well and is beautiful. Easy to care for and would go very well in your plant stand.
I don’t even have an Aldi anywhere near me, but I still enjoy watching. 🙏🏻💕
Love your videos, Matt! Your concise manner of presenting enables you to present more items in a short period of time. I enjoy that each month.
Thank you!
Nancy
We always love your video deals. Thanks Matt
Thanks Matt. I see some things I need to run up ours and pray that are actually there, lol. Sometimes they are gone or didn’t come in. Happy weekend 😊❤.
The leprecones were ok, they left that it’s not really ice cream texture. Box gone on ride home, nobody hated them. The cones were delicious tho, just the right amount of chocolate!
The pull cord chopper is awesome for herb’s and garlic the blades aren’t super strong but for softer foods they will get the job done.
Anything with a pull cord is liable to have that handle break off or the cord entangle inside the device. I got a $20-ish slap chop thing from Walmart, which also came with other parts I had no idea of how to use back at the time, lol. Like the salad spinner, or the juicer. I always laugh at my ignorance from then and how watching cooking channels on UA-cam has finally taught me what all of those pieces are. Yes, it sat inside its box for years because I just didn't know 😂
Snake plant. Almost impossible to kill. Beautiful and sculptural. Perfect for your planter.
Oh TY! TY!TY! I’ve been wanting a Sam’s Club deal & here it !! Jumping on that deal!
Thank you Matt as always with your recommendations
Oooh that plant stand could double as a cat look out perch on my lanai😂😂😂 thanks Matt!
Lol I was thinking the exact same thing ❤🐈❤️🐈⬛❤️
@@karenbaxter5402 great kitty mommies think alike!!!
Ty for your hard work bringing these videos. It's appreciated.
That manual string chopper is over $15 anywhere else. I own it and works great.
A Peace Lily is great for anyone who likes to have a plant without too much work. Bring it home; set it somewhere with a little light; when it looks droopy-water it. It'll perk right back up in no time.
Rubbertree plants are a great starter plant that has a big impact, since they are quite large with beautifully larger leaves. Water once a week. Just put the pot inside the rattan planter holder. They mostly do not get transplanted...they are finicky about that. They do prefer a sunny window.
Solar lights with snacks 🤣
Just left Aldi’s a few hours ago, and spied almost everything you showcased! Love you!
The string pull chopper is an awesome gadget for parents that have children starting out foods. Great for baby led weaning foods and easy to clean and travel with on vacation or visiting family. Much love from New Hampshire!
FABULOUS 🎉. I get a check tomorrow morning and tomorrow I’m going to Aldi. My list is now complete and I’m gonna grab quite a few things from my granddaughter’s 7th Birthday. Magnificent Shopping Spree Thanks Matt.
Everything you talked about looked great ; as for plants, some can be very tricky. It’s nice you visit different stores, Your videos are very informative Ty’s for all the Intel. !
I love those clear organizers and lazy Susan! They helped me to organize my countertop next to my sink. I have more space and can see what I need. I want to try that window cleaner. I love the leggings, too!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They help me to see what to look for when I go shopping. Also You should try a Pothos plant they are very easy to grow.
Even with no ALDIS in WA State, I love to watch your videos. Thank you, Matt.
Snake plant or pothos. They are both easy to grow.
Update!! I got the silicone scrub gloves and hurrah along with Dawn Powerwash spray I was able to safely remove the hard water spots on my shower doors! Not a scratch and my shower looks new again. Thanks for yet another great suggestion Deal Guy!
Keep up those Dad jokes, Matt!!
Yes Martha. Great presentation.
lol!
The man version of Martha Stewart 😂😂😂😂.
Thanks for highlighting these deals.
For plants. Pothos. They clean the air of toxic gases, can withstand forgetful waterers, but not for longer than 3 weeks, and are pretty. If you grow the branches long enough you can make designs on your wall with it or just go around archways
Went to ALDIs after watching your video.
Purchased the baseball cap device. Have to say you need to use twist ties because it opens during the washing.
The fire/water proof safe and the garbage disposal cleaner (got the last one).
Thanks!!!
The one rebuilt Aldi location within walking distance of me has continuous trouble, to varying degrees, keeping both regular and weekly specials stocked. Parts of the dairy and frozen sections have had empty shelves all too often for months now. Last visit, I bought two sugar free hazelnut creamers and froze them---they're either selling out very quickly or just understocked from the get go. I thought the supply chain issue was long over and done with.
I love the leprecones! I got them last year too. Thanks Matt!
Great finds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video! That window cleaner looks interesting.
Oooh...I've made my list! Thanks! 😊
Wow!! Great stuff. Thank you!!
Atp you're Martha Stewart, Gordon Ramsey, and Robin Leach...rolled into one! 🤗❤🙏🏾
I just got a pair of those water bottles and they're great. No leaking and light for long walks/hikes. The seem easy to clean too
People are crazy for those Stanley cups right now, but you’re right: light canteens that don’t leak are muuuch better for walking around with!
I love your videos! I'm headed to my Aldi store in a few hours and hoping that I can find these goodies! Thanks! You're awesome!
Thank you for all the Aldi finds! Always enjoy your videos 😊
I’m here for your clever segues 🙃
Great video! You could use that plant grow light for your money tree!!!
Thanks for posting this Deal Guy. Don't go to Aldi that much but noticed their wheat bread is actually pretty good. They have a nice selection of seeds and nuts in different packaging too.
If you might like a dessert that lasts a pretty long time, Aldi’s usually sells their own cinnamon marbled bread loaf. It costs a bit more than Pepperidge Farm’s, but it’s super dense and makes the most indulgent French toast or grilled stickies ever!
Thanks for sharing!!😊
Great shopping trip loved the window cleaner. Blessings 😊 🙏
Thanks Matt for another great video 😁👍
Love my Aldi's and God bless you and your family 💗👍🙏🙏🙏
A lot of items caught my eye! Thank you for the information
Thank you, Matt! Your videos always make me a better shopper!
Another fantastic video. Thanks. I may have to try that window cleaner.😊
Thank you very much for sharing❤❤❤❤❤
So delightful and informative …. Every….. single …… video ! 🙋🏻♀️💕
I bought the black metal shelf and the air filters last week. They were both an excellent buy. The shelf was a challenge for me to assemble by myself but I did it and I am so pleased with it. Fits great in my storage shed.
