Epiphone is absolutely killing it.
Hail Mary Easily the best well built affordable guitars out there right now , other than Ibanez as far as quality for the money. I own a Epi LP Studio and an SG G400 Pro , they both came flawless. No scuffs , sharp frets , nut issues etc.. The intonation was perfect on both , all i did was lower the action on the SG and changed strings on them , just tuned em and they were good to go. How can you go wrong when i spent less than a grand for both. They definitely upped their game on QC unlike Gibson , where those murphy lab LP's are turning into nightmare's. Imagine spending over 5g's and the paint is flaking off , i'll stick with my epi's thank you!!!

I been playing guitar/bass for over 35 years and have owned Gibsons. I recently grabbed the Worn Gold Epiphone Les Paul. I’m impressed with the look, the sound, and the feel of it; inspires magic...that’s what a quality axe is supposed to do,

I love how these reviews are set out, alot of playing him just having fun and jamming and showing us what it's like and gives us all what we wanna know about the technical hardware stuff right at the start, and it's rlly cool how u keep adding those little guns n roses riffs in, this is my next guitar for sure
He always plays the gutair to make it sound good, too many gutair reviews have people playing the same licks
I was all about the gold top but now after Dagan, feeling the black.. worn satin, finally, headstock fixed, finally..Epiphone is back.
I was looking at reviews for like, 3 or 4 months since I'm getting this for Christmas. This review was really the most in depth one I've seen.

6 months ago, I bought the Epiphone Les Paul Custom with the KOA top, absolutely a beautiful guitar. It also needs polishing constantly. Today I received my Epiphone Les Paul Classic with the worn finish in the cherry. It's perfect. I am going to play the Classic and not worry about knocking it against anything and the Custom will look pretty on the wall. lol.
I figure I can get a couple more guitars and still have paid less than one Gibson. Gonna need more wall space.

WoW !! I used to have the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III about 10 years ago but I was too lazy to learn it and it just became expensive wallpaper but am thinking of buying another as I sold the aforementioned one a few years ago now but the new range of Epiphones since 2020 looks and sounds amazing. I could easily afford to buy a Gibson but why should I when Epiphone are making such lovely copies and at the end of the day they are both the same company 😁👍

I agree . I bought the purple worn and am floored by how well it sounds, plays. I also have an 81 Gibson LP Custom ebony, and I prefer the sound and playability of the Epiphone. I loved the quality so much I bought a 2020 Epiphone acoustic Hummingbird, and love the quality of that guitar as well.

Rather timely, just been looking at one on your website! Sounded pretty good to me! Is it increasingly becoming more about amps, pedals, software, tones than the guitars? (and the player of course!)Some of these 'cheaper' guitars sound not that different to the more expensive siblings! Does make you think and wonder.

I have had the Les Paul Classic Gold Top version. One thing I feel you left out is how the Volume pots will split the coils so you can get a wider range of sound. The pickups are nothing amazing but switching them out with higher quality pickups really made my guitar shine. Inside the pot cavity you also get the Eiphone quick connect pickup set. Which makes installing them a breeze if you buy the quick connect wiring off Reverb. My major qualms about this guitar is when you buy it, don't expect it to shine out of the box, mine needed some serious fret leveling, a truss rod adjustment, bridge adjustment to keep it in tune, an the whole guitar needed a good cleaning. The tuners on the head stock are grover tuners which I am on the fence about their quality because I do find myself tuning the guitar after playing one or two songs, where my Epiphone SG G-400 Pro which has the epiphone version of the Gibson style machine heads do not fall out of tune so easy. So it throws me off. The finish looks great but you can see the wood grain as if they just did the bare minimum sanding. I am thinking of getting another gold top version and modding it to be fire truck red on top and smoothing the top off. The back have a vaneer over it which gives the wood a "fake look" to me. But that is only if you bought the Gold top, or the Burst version. I would recomend this to a guitarist who wants something that feels like a gibson. But I would say to them once they get it, take it to a tech or a shop to have them set the whole thing up if you do not feel comfortable doing so or you will automatically hate this guitar out of the box.

I had a Classic Worn Cherry Burst in 2020 but had to sell recently. But I think I would buy again. I'm a beginner/intermediate player but need to practice more. The Classic would periodically go out of tune, mind you it was in my office in the basement, so the humidity may have been low. Has a really good weight, neck is great for someone like me who's 6 feet +, 4 tuners are great. There are some better looking guitars out there that may sound better but it is still a very solid guitar nevermind the Epiphone brand it being built in China. I highly recommend it for taller players. If your like 5'5 - 5'10 then stick with a SG as their necks are much more slimmer. I just rented a SG to try out and boy are those necks super slim compared to a LP.

I've always wanted a Honey Burst i think i've had every colour but that.
Got 2..but I wouldn't buy this guitar ..spend the extra $50 for the non worn classic..i have that one in honeyburst for the extra 50 you get cts wiring and pots

The honey burst is the best electric guitar I own. Got the out of phase pull pot on the bridge tone knob. Almost wish I had bought it & the 59 bourbon burst as it would have been less that my Tele.
@@paulcopsey6573 I have around 15 guitars all colours except my favorite lol Keep hold of that honey burst you dont seem to see them as much. I have a les paul traditional pro 3 in tobacco burst. With the boost drive on the tone pot or you can run it in single coil with the other i think. I like that guitar good sounding pickups. Necks a bit fatter than im used to though i think its a 50's style neck? Its in matt though so your hand slides about it real smooth. I have a fender tele custom too with P90's got all sorts. I will find a honey burst one day.

I've never been a big Gibson/Epi fan, I started playing guitar in the early 80s so super strats was what I've always been into.. then I got a "Non Authentic" LP just cause I wanted to do like a test drive without spending to much money. I ended up modding just about everything and it really became a great guitar. So, I was in the market but then Mark Agasi had to do his egotisitcal buy authentic BS and I swore I'd never buy Gibson or Epi ever.. Then Xmas 2021 I get a present from my 18 year old daughter I open it and it's an Epi 60's Standard in bourbon burst and I have to admit it was gorgeous. Then I plugged it and and I fell in love. Now I own the Epi and a Kramer.. They're really FINALLY getting it right. Now all they have to do is get rid of that irritating douche Mark Agnesi.
How do you plug in pedals I always get a squeek and I plug them in fine my pedals just hate me at first day they didn't squeek but second day they start to squeek

Yes they do the classic worn only has split pickup the I guess you can say reg classic has both split coil and in and out of phase .
