It's also a theory that Thanos killed Cap with that punch, but when he turned back time he also revived him. For added evidence bruce banner was inside the rock but after thanos left he was out.

I think the reason Rocket doesn't mind Thor calling him "Rabbit", is because he's not being insulting or condescending. Most of the time people are talking down to Rocket and calling him names. Great reactions...you both caught on to some things very fast..like the scene at nowhere when Thanos got the reality stone, and when Thanos was turning back time to get the mind stone. In the theater those took the audience (and me) by surprise.
The energy going into the theater vs coming out of it was so drastically different we were questioning everything. Also, Thanos “retired” at the Banawe Rice Terraces. 😂

I saw this in the theater when it came out. Now, up until this one, I was used to lots of applause at the end of Marvel movies. Well, not with this one! The whole, packed theater was DEAD SILENT as the credits rolled on this movie.

The downside of knowing the comics to a certain extent is that I could guess how this was going to end. So it was a bit of a bummer to not be shocked along with everyone else at how it ended. Still, great movie. And I do appreciate how "the snap" has had enormous, lasting consequences for the MCU.

Thanos genocide his random, 50% of the population is choosed by the luck, you could be a good person, a bad person, a child, an old, man, woman, poor, rich, it just doesnt matter, if you are choosed because the luck said that you have to die then thats it
I love that Tony Stark really put up a fight and made Thanos bleed. He was even surprised by the gaze of he's own blood. We knew Tony wouldn't win, but it was awesome to watch anyway.
let me offer and alternative perspective from Thano's viewpoint. Thanos is not human, he's a titan powerful enough to handle and wield all the stones. So to him, earthlings are like ants. SO....lets imagine we as humans purchase an ant-farm. it's amusing, mildly interesting, but really just ants. Imagine one morning, you wake up and see a new batch of ant eggs hatched and the tiny glass ant farm is horribly overcrowded. You cant even pop in enough food through the tiny holes to feed them fast enough. Its not inconcievable that you might take the ant farm outside, open up one side, tap it a few times until enough ants fall out (and to their death, without a queen), close it up, and then go back indoors and then back to your day, where ants are merely a distraction. Because we (and Thanos) cant empathize with something much much tinier than us....it's easier to commit an atrocity. We do it all the time, when we kill a wasp or hornet nest or destroy an ant hill in the back yard. To us, it's pest control. To the wasps, hornets, and ants, it's an event of mass destruction.
Peter reacting more intensely than most of the other characters wasn't just because he's "a kid", it's because of his Spidey Sense. He can sense impending danger, and he could sense what was about to happen to him. It was more profound than any previous Spidey Sense trigger, and he also knew there was nothing he could do about it (usually the Sense allows him to avoid or nullify the danger), and he just couldn't process it.

Quill lost his mom and his dad which he'd looked for his whole life only to find out his dad killed her. Quills new love is killed by her father . Peter lost it true but Tony didn't rationalize and chill when he found out Bucky had killed his folks and Cap knew he didn't go "You were the winter soldier so not in control I forgive you" Both guys are famous for low impulse control, Me? I think that there were millions of times Quill did maintain and they failed worse.
It was hard to watch Hulk get beat up! He was my favorite when I was a kid! I'm in my 40s but if I was 10 years old again It's possible I would have cried 😄

Love your discussion about Thanos and his motivations- I think that's what makes him such an interesting villain, that we can all understand why he's doing what he's doing even if we don't agree with it. Although- if he had all that power, why didn't he snap and increase resources twofold so everyone could thrive?
24:55 Thanos lived on Titan, a moon of Saturn. At least in the comics. An alias of his is, "the mad titan". 43:43 Thanos had intellectually and morally justified (to himself) killing half of all living things. Tho it technically just resets the clock/starts over and doesn't solve the purported problem. (Tho it's not clear if he killed all living things Microbes? Animals? Vegetation? Or if he killed half of all beings with souls?) And the deaths were random, not based on any sort of meritocracy.
Well in the second half we find that he did wipe out half of ALL life, which doesn't actually solve the resource problem he talks of. The half that lives now has half as much food so it's just the same problem with smaller numbers.
No Thanos doesn't really choose who lives or dies it's pretty random 1/2 of all life Ceases to exist .. All life even down to the microscopic level Everywhere in this current universe.. Even though he still favors certain Characters like his own Black order
To me thanos is the best villan written and people arguing he could have doubled the universe's resources that wont fix the problem it will just give more time and the cycle to extinction will repeat. You can't expect a person to be frugal with money by giving him more money you have to take away the money for them to realise it. We wouldn't have given a single f about the climate if it didn't affect our lives people wont change until the suffer that's the way I see it.

Quill lost his mom and his dad which he'd looked for his whole life only to find out his dad killed her. Quills new love is killed by her father . Peter lost it true but Tony didn't rationalize and chill when he found out Bucky had killed his folks and Cap knew he didn't go "You were the winter soldier so not in control I forgive you" Both guys are famous for low impulse control, Me? I think that there were millions of times Quill did maintain and they failed worse.
It was hard to watch Hulk get beat up! He was my favorite when I was a kid! I'm in my 40s but if I was 10 years old again It's possible I would have cried 😄

Love your discussion about Thanos and his motivations- I think that's what makes him such an interesting villain, that we can all understand why he's doing what he's doing even if we don't agree with it. Although- if he had all that power, why didn't he snap and increase resources twofold so everyone could thrive?

24:55 Thanos lived on Titan, a moon of Saturn. At least in the comics. An alias of his is, "the mad titan".
43:43 Thanos had intellectually and morally justified (to himself) killing half of all living things. Tho it technically just resets the clock/starts over and doesn't solve the purported problem. (Tho it's not clear if he killed all living things Microbes? Animals? Vegetation? Or if he killed half of all beings with souls?) And the deaths were random, not based on any sort of meritocracy.

Well in the second half we find that he did wipe out half of ALL life, which doesn't actually solve the resource problem he talks of. The half that lives now has half as much food so it's just the same problem with smaller numbers.

No Thanos doesn't really choose who lives or dies it's pretty random 1/2 of all life Ceases to exist .. All life even down to the microscopic level Everywhere in this current universe.. Even though he still favors certain Characters like his own Black order

To me thanos is the best villan written and people arguing he could have doubled the universe's resources that wont fix the problem it will just give more time and the cycle to extinction will repeat. You can't expect a person to be frugal with money by giving him more money you have to take away the money for them to realise it. We wouldn't have given a single f about the climate if it didn't affect our lives people wont change until the suffer that's the way I see it.
