I grew up riding Sparks and now I have a GTR. It’s one of the best water crafts I’ve ever ridden. It has 90% of the playfulness as a spark. I can also stand in 1 foot well and it barely dips an inch. Huge stability and vast reserves of power. The GTX isn’t my style, but it’s great for long rides. If you’re not quite sure what you want to do, but no you wanna have more than one person regularly, get yourself a GTR. It’s a full3 seater, whereas the spark is more like a one and a half seater or 2 1/2 seater depending on which one you get
Hi Will, how is your GTR on fuel? I’m debating between the GTI 170 and the GTR 230. I like the idea of some extra speed and acceleration but I’m not sure how much I’d use it. The reliability of the GTI NA engine and the longer fuel range is also appealing to me.
Thanks for the post. I really like riding crazy. I got a Honda right now but I just sold my dirt bike and was thinking about getting a spark. I heard the 10th anniversary models are going to be a lot faster, but if they're not I might go with the GTR or the GP1800 thanks for the input on the spark vs the gtr
Pretty much the same as the GTI 170, except it has an extended rear deck thats a foot long and uses the ST3 Hull which is super stable and can stand up on. Can do powerslides and donuts and easily pull an inner tube or water ski's, even has the pilon attachment cut out for the pilon. Also it will go the farthest since it has an 18 gallon fuel tank, I het about 150 miles in one tank if in eco mode.
Getting the Fish Pro...mine is on the way and I can't wait..happy to join the SEADOO family... if your in North Texas DFW area check out Freedom Power sports in Denton. Great team with a very cool General manager. They are taking great care of me.
I purchased a 2015 Sea Doo Spark. I hit a log that was not visible it was floating but completely submerged. I called the dealership & they had no clue how to repair a haul? I then got a hold of Sea Doo & complained they did contact & force the dealership to get a "Contractor" to do repairs but they did not have the recourses OR time to inform me of this. I found out a friend of mine called to see & they within a couple days had a contractor. I repaired it my self. Now with just 82 hours my Sea Doo is scrap, they for a couple years made them cheap & if the splines fail & apparently they do a LOT! They must remove the crank shaft so you are looking at a $4,000 repair job. I will NEVER buy another Sea Doo Product ever again. It is my feeling they have terrible customer service & a very cheap poorly designed product.
So you hit a log and expected dealership and the company to do all the leg work for you? As for spline issues, that was on 14/15 models. If you don’t check your seals it can be an issue. I replace my seals every winter. Maybe overkill but it’s a 9 year old machine that still runs like new.
@@Vikturus2k6 No I expected a dealership to BE ABLE to perform a repair on a hole. They couldn’t, I think that is beyond pathetic. After talking with Ski-Doo. The dealership got a contractor. Ski-Doo didn’t even reply to me a customer. That speaks volumes about how bad their service really is! No response!

Almost impossible to buy a sea doo in west-europe
Facts, in the Republic of Ireland there’s basically 0 places to buy a new one. I’ve only found 1 so far. Most are in the north
