What made the Character Mastery thing sting so much is that it was "Coming Soon" and a lot of people's most anticipated addition. The moment I saw that wasn't coming it drained any care I had. If it was still in concept or devolpement it wouldn't have stung nearly as bad.
Also: Just because someone is being harsh on the game and posting on reddit about their disappointment doesn't mean they aren't passionate about the game. I think people are too quick to dismiss people as haters and tell them to "quit". That to me is bogus.

@@NeroTheMana I see it both ways. Of course you are passionate, that is why you (and I) are pissed that they cut Mastery, but after that the only recourse we have is to vote with our wallets and our time. I also think that whomever is running PR for SD needs to be reassigned or something because this weekend was a trainwreck. It's one thing to cancel a hyped up new feature before it launches, and another thing entirely to make it one of your primary announcements at a special live stream with a ton of fake enthusiasm thrown on top it.

They won't have long term success, the game will likely be at like 1000 average monthly steam players or even worse by around same time next year by the way it has been going

When I saw Sersi, I thought about the Baron Zemo Steal Deck.
Cable, Baron Zemo, Grand Master, Morph, basically just tearing their deck apart and then in the end dropping the Sersi.
This is the much better 5 slot over doc. Definitely pulling all keys for sersi cause mill is my favorite deck

I love that there is a world where you play sentry, fail to draw annihilus, but then your Sersi turn the void into a hobgoblin that flies over to the other side as a -8 anyway.

As the most dedicated Nimrod player probably on the planet, his problem is that when Prof X is big in the meta, he just completely dies. sooo....... well you know.

Expectations does a lot. A lot of people had really high expectations. I was only hoping for cool things and didn't have high expectations and thought the roadmap was pretty cool. It’s sad character mastery is gone, but im excited about the new event with an unlockable card.

Curious as to why there was not more discussion on the average power of cards at different costs, rather than the variability! 3 to 4 seems like a big jump, and overall Cersei seems to be an efficient big statted card, 7 plus the average power of transformed cards. I could imagine utilizing Cersei as another payoff card for brood, Mr sinister, mysterio, or other random generation cards, and working as well for turn 6 mockingbird plays. I guess the downside would be that she only overstats a particular lane.

It's Happening Guys first I Wasn’t caring about Getting to Infinite. Second is i didn't even buy the Season Pass, which I have done since I started Marvel Snap. People I followed are leaving the Game such as Drewberry, and I was the Guy who logged in every day several times. Marvel Snap has the Titanic vibes right now
Hey gamer, good for you. If you're not having a good time with the game, you absolutely _should_ go find your fun elsewhere, and if you have to talk yourself into believing the game is dying and ignore the reality of the absolute numbers it's doing right now in terms of profit, well more power to you king - live your life and have fun.
FWIW, gamers have been claiming that MtG has been dying since the 90's, and HS has been dying for at least 5 years, so you're in solid company with TCG/CCG gamers claiming the game they no longer enjoy is dying so that they don't have to feel bad about walking away.
I think also what they forgot about is that SD made this post before earlier in the week before the IGN games thing saying something big is coming only for nothing to be coming but a lot being removed and didn’t even show any gameplay of Deadpool diner. Saying to keep our expectations low is normally pretty easy but when the developer makes a post saying something big is coming and stay tuned for it to be announced and have nothing to show for it, they made our expectations high and failed to deliver. I still enjoy marvel snap but at some point they have to add new game modes, less monetization on bundles. (Some costing $80???) give us a reason to play the bad cards and make them useful, and something with variants.

. Card variants rotate every 8 hours with everything else
.Add new currency for ultimate variants sperate from tokens
. Different series cards every month, not just series 5
These 5 things would drastically help the game guaranteed.

Road map was not a 3. A 3 is average. Even taking oit the disappointment issue, the upcoming event doesn't have details, no tease for the upcoming new key word. This wasn't a road map, it was just showing they are still working on the game. But not a map by any means

Here me out, if spiderman 2099 was a 4 cost and/or reactivated every time he moved he'd be great
Maybe he would be super broken OP, but I feel like at least try him with 1 activation per turn? They can always reverse it immediately in an OTA if he's too strong, but in a world where Killmonger can kill every single 1 cost on the board for 3 cost, and Shang can kill up to 4 10+ power cards in one turn (for a ridiculous 4/40+) and Valk hits everything in both lanes, and even Cannonball, the closest to 2099, at least gets to target the biggest thing, 2099 is just sooo lacking. He should either have multiple activations, or just be a lot cheaper, like a 3/5 or maybe even 3/6 or something.
Spider-Woman was probably the one that I disagreed the most. At 5/11 or 5/12 and no ramp required, I really like her.
Sersi is a good junk counter, looking at you white widow and black widow. But playing her on location with a 4 cost and transforming it to a Modok is too high of a risk for me.
9 times out of 10 , I'll be ruined by modok or Destroyer.
If anyone has played PvZ Heroes before, you would know there’s a card that does exactly what Sersi does, called Molekale, but for the whole board. That card was a very strong card in that game, and it was pretty cheap to play out. In my opinion, they need to make this card a minimum 4 cost with less power in order for it to be viable, because 5 cost seems pretty costly for an ability thst affects on

Molekale is soo much much better man. Especially if you have a board full of pineclones. Also I can't think of any PVZ Heroes card than ruin your life like Destroyer or Modok in snap.
If you play Sersei in a lane, get Kang, Kang rewinds... if you play Sersei again will she roll Kang again?

Nothing generates Kang, the devs said so.
I wiffed on a bunch of the May cards but the accompanying spotlight cards caused me to hesitate. Luckily I’m able to expand my collection with some of the missing pieces in June. Still sad I missed Namora, Nocturne and Sage.
Why have I heard nobody saying we need new splits besides gold and ink? This is literally the only new feature I want

The car display is soo cool, i drive a 2012 avengers and the amount times i wished my display would have maps is wild. Glancing at my phone ever few minute has made some close calls
I have been doing a lot of thinking about recent talks how Snap creators opinion influences player base into some sort of decision of new card acquisition, either positive and negative.
And understood that we, players, feeling so frustrated when we get or not get a card which becomes popular or not good because how low on recourses we are, because we dont have freedom to choose fun and competitive cards.
The fact that its so hard to get new cards that every miss feels like a betrayal…
So don’t put your frustration on a consequence(our dear Snap Creators who truly care about their audience) and, instead, let’s all go for a real reason of a problem of broken economy and promises-Second Diner (obviously not to their families, but in every possible official store or company account, to say out opinions in ratings, commentaries etc.)
We can be heard as their player base, and we should not leave our
opinions to ourselves.
We need to let them know that it won’t continue that way anymore…

Playing Brood and then Sersi sounds like a fun time
For Sersi, does she work with Wong? I assume it would happen twice because of how things like Zola works. There are so many good cards to Wong and then evolve, a Wong white tiger ironheart lane becomes a random 5,6,7 drop. Could be a good way to win where you Odin if you need to win the other lanes or Sersi to surprise flip the Wong lane

i can see a deck playing all the 2 and 3 tek cards that are low power (mobius, Echo, Cage, cosmo etc) then using Sersi to turn them into value on 6 when they just arent needed anymore

I think sersi will be at the low-end solid, while on average good but ultimately be a 13th card type card kinda like mirage. Sure, being able to play an understatted cards with a good on reveal and then transform it into at worst another on reveal is pretty good value but, how often would you rather just play blink and guarantee you pull a card you want and have control over. Also, let's say you're playing a sersi deck that stacks cards in one lane then transforms them. How are you winning another lane? I feel like you could end up over committing to one lane and be too weak in the other 2. Can't wait to try it out and see how it plays.

I could see sersi being played into high evo, but why would you invest in that when you could invest next month for ajax
I feel like rating Cannonball with Prof X is a bit dismisive. He is great with junk, he works with move and he is a great card to surprise win a lane regardless of what deck he is in. I love his desgin and feel people still under rate him
You sold me on sersi rigjt at the end. Im high risk high reward decks with for example wong and white tiger, Sersi is a pretty perfect fit

I believe that if sersi created a task master it would actually copy the power from the card that was played BEFORE sersi, based on how jubilee interacts with mystique

Wong makes Zola trigger twice even if he pops first. I can't imagine Sersi won't hit him twice, making a 5 then a 6.

wong sersi and grand master and absorbing man. Like these guys keep thinking in terms of a 4 becoming a 5, but should be thinking about sersi triggering 2 or 3 times and turning 4 drops into 6s and 2 drops into 5s.

Ive come to the conclusion that Second Dinner is missing a sound missuon statement for thier business. One that focuses on creating long lasting player base while making sound business decisions to never worry about the doors closing.
It COULD be a negative 8, 5 cost card. Hobgoblin, but then it would switch sides, so still good.

I’m tossing her into a mostly low energy Loki deck so as I’m putting down card producing cards to fill my hand into a lane, Sersi can upgrade them as a 2nd option besides Loki toward turn 5-6

My opinion is that Gamora is just a solid card. She’s pretty good at tanking a location if you combo her with X or Storm
I would Sersi into a brood as I believe 4 drops are the best bang for buck and less down falls
3's to 4's and 4's to 5's seem the best for sure. Void/Sentry is probably the worst hit, although Sersi works really well in Anni clutter decks, so turning a Brood into a Void on 5 and then being able to Anni it on 6 is not even necessarily always a downside.

I think one of her best homes could be Thanos. Transforming some of the stones makes sense, while also thinking of soul stones new text " ..Thanos cant be discarded..". Could they have added bit thinking of the risks mind stone turning into Sif or Corvus? Interesting

Take this any way you like. Devs don't necessarily make good management. Just like any other specialists. The game design is great. Been saying that from day 1. Best in recent years. I credit Brode and his circle for that. But, as a company, as a business, they desperately need professional management ASAP. IMHO.
As for the fabled "Draft Mode", one can grab Arishem and simulate MTG's "Sealed Deck" format to scratch that itch.

38:23 If you play Sersi into a lane and get Aam Warlock you're kinda happy its an extra draw, you're winning the location. The problem is wasting a turn playing out Warlock but if you play out Sersi and she transforms 3 cards and one is Warlock. Its a good day

This season was the easiest climb to infinite I've ever had. Didn't play profx in a single game. People seem to be complaining about that deck a lot but I really don't have an issue with it.

@@shady-mx9qg oh I faced him, I just didn't use him in any of my decks. Honestly I won a lot vs those prof x builds because I was playing a lot of move and bounce, filling the board up with a lot of cards in multiple zones.

Its so sad seeing basically nothing from the 'in concept' column ever get added and then seeing card acquisition improvements there as well in the new one...
I mean, in concept is always going to be hit and miss because a lot of things that sound good in concept just don't work when you come to look at them in more detail. I'd rather they share stuff they're thinking about even if they eventually find out they can't deliver it - it's fairly unique to have devs working on a big IP game but with indie-like passion for what they're doing, and the in concept column is part of that passion.
Having said that, a lot of what was "in concept" on past roadmaps is actively being worked on - the clan and social stuff is now alliances which is in development, new game modes have been conquest and now deadpool's diner. Seasonal audio we got, collectible emotes and emoting cards/locations we got. New card mechanic went from in concept to in development.
Some stuff seems to have dropped off the radar but nothing major as far as I can tell. PC controller support has gone but I never really heard anyone screaming for that. Mythic (now ultimate) variant improvements they have removed but they have clarified that they are still trying things internally to make these feel special but are not happy with their proof of concepts yet which is why they removed them for now. Test deck mode was removed but arguably that's how people use battle mode/PG in conquest mode these days so likely no longer need a separate mode for it.
Honestly coming from a dev background myself, for stuff that was only at the conceptual stage, for them to be actively working on or already having delivered as much as they have is actually impressive. The problem here is not with the in concept column on the roadmap, it's with gamer expectations and not understanding what in concept means. It means "here's stuff were excited to try and see if it works for us", it doesn't mean "here is stuff which you are guaranteed to get, it's just a bit further out than stuff that's actively in development".
Imagine, sersi turn 5 in an empty lane, then you arnim zola to transform the junk in the other locations into pure chaos
You'd have to be playing against the worst junk player in the world to have any empty lanes left come turn 5

@@masterking8000 he doesn't shit on prof x. If prof is played turn 5, you would have had to anticipate that and also play war machine on 5. Then you would have to play to win that lane, if you can, and also be guaranteed another lane
@@debordsr Prof X players loved making the "Just play War Machine" argument to justify playing their cringe lockdown card. As you point out, WM just doesn't work, if he did then people would have been playing him. It's such a bad take argument for them to have ever claimed that he was somehow the answer to dealing with X but the entirety of the Snap community was sleeping on him. If he was any good against those decks you can be sure the top infinite players would have been all over him. I'm glad SD finally did the right thing and gave Prof the nerf he's needed for a long time.

They need another mode and I want to see more clarity or refinement for matchmaking. Too many people are hitting 70-80 and bots disappear, makes the ladder grind abhorrent. For something that "doesn't happen" there are a ton of reports, and growing, that say otherwise.
I mean, that’s what they want. Sounds like system is functioning correctly
As someone who has been actively tracking every bot on my infinite climb every season for about the last five or six seasons, I can tell you the cadence of the bots I've faced has _never_ changed. It's always been three humans followed by a bot in the 70's, four humans followed by a bot in the 80's and 6 humans followed by a bot in the 90's (the only time this is not true is if I have a really long queue time for some reason, then occasionally they'll give me a bot out of sequence, but this has happened maybe three or four times in the whole period I've been tracking). I can promise I don't have some ridiculously high MMR which means I face more bots than others. I actually have pretty low MMR because after hitting infinite day one in about six hours, I don't play ladder at all. For reference, my snap points on hitting infinite are around 6800.
What I will also say is that, having spent a _lot_ of time in Snap streams in the last year and a half, the average gamer is absolutely terrible at identifying bots. On top of that, every stream I've hung out in while the streamer was climbing seems to have exactly the same cadence of bots as I'm seeing. So, while I don't completely rule out that maybe something is going on and some people are not seeing bots at these pre-defined intervals, the far simpler explanation is that people are just misidentifying the bots that they are seeing. I'd love to have someone who claims they're not seeing bots record their footage of their infinite sessions and share it so I can review, because I'm actually really interested to know if there is something going on here or not, but I just can't rely on word-of-mouth when I've seen first-hand how bad people are at identifying bots.
Having said all of that, they're never going to give clarity over match-making because, gamers being gamers, someone will find a way to game the system if they do.
Sersi with Mr. Sinister & Medusa in a Silver Surfer deck seems an interesting idea.
