So basically the card can go in almost any deck, has an ability with zero downside but its a bad card? Doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve had a great experience with him and he isn’t even close to the only card that drawing him late is bad. That just how Marvel Snap works a lot of the time. That shouldn’t deter you from playing the card. If that was the case then nobody would ever play cards like Sera or Mr. Negative because you need them on curve just like Phastos. The randomness is also not a negative factor either if you build the deck around taking advantage of EITHER effect which is not difficult at all. When is the last time you looked at a card and said “wow I would hate if this was 1 cost cheaper or had 2 more power.”
It's not a bad card, not like a Quicksilver-level bad card. I would blame this on SD, who defined what a "great card" is. Just look at the release versions of Blob, Ms. Marvel, Loki, and Alioth - those kinds of cards. They were broken cards that put you at a massive disadvantage if you didn't own them. Well, Phastos is not like them. He's mid at best. Mid as in he's playable, but not exactly a "great" and must-have card.
I think it's not bad, but kinda meh. Even playing him in turn 3 feels kinda slow/weak when you have many great other options (mainly Wave-Sera). I have fun with him especially if he works on my favor but in some games he's just a meh turn 3 play
He has to fit in decks where there is a slot not necessary to play if drawn late. Like how Nakia isn’t needed if drawn late. Pixie isn’t needed if drawn late. Etc

So far my go to decks are Phoenix Force - Jean Grey - Legion Lockdown- Annihulus/Sersi - Angela. Like I said I will get weird with it. We desperately need suggestions. I never play meta, instead i build decks that try to counter or i just troll them by destroying most of their deck using Yondu, Beast Moon Knight and Wong. Its especially hilarious if the location has on reveal happens twice as it destroys their entire deck only using yondu, moon knight, silver samurai etc.
I’m not even going to bother trying this deck. It will never work for me. My luck has been so trash this season that even if I drew everything I needed they would have Mobius, Cosmo, something…they would have it and the shit would not work.

I absolutely love the card my deck is as follows. 1 cost Uatu 2 cost Jeff 3 cost Phastos and Gladiator 4 cost War Machine 5 cost Professor X, Stature, Mockingbird, Black Bolt, and Sera 6 cost Thanos and Sasquatch I have had solid results from this deck even in Conquest.
Needed Corvus and Spiderham , pulled Phastos incidentally. Phastos really needs to be 2 cost , otherwise he's just a much worse Pixie imo. Hopefully he isn't a dead card in the future.
If you play this in Infinite prepare to lose cubes...especially if you are anywhere close to top 10k....they will leave or counter you or know it if it wins or loses everytime
People, we all know that the RGN in Marvel Snap is not R at all, we just have to accept there's an algorithm "balancing" stuff... although sometimes it gets ridiculous.

I have to say I find your star rating for the Adjustment part is completely backwards... What makes sense to me is that if a card isn't going to get adjusted then it has a 5 star rating (like this one), it's a stable card, balanced, etc, so it has to have the most starts in that category... On the other hand, if the card is unbalanced and most likely is going to get buffed or nerfed then it should go down on rating up to the 1 star (or half-star) because the balance of the card is off
I’d wager Phastos is better than war machine, who Cozy said would “change the game forever” that now just collects dust in our collection! I guess I’ll wait, see what the weekend mission rewards for Phastos are. I’m sitting pretty on keys, but I also have more than enough tokens to just get him. But with Young Avengers and Madame Web seasons coming, I think saving may be the move! Didn’t this man claim to be a Hipp fan? That deck was decidedly NOT HIPP!! (Swarm don’t count)
When I got Phastos last season from the mystery card among Nico, Proxima, and Hope, I thought of using him with Thanos to get the stones at 0 cost and Jane Foster. Could probably Lockjaw for free and mill your deck for big hitters? Sad Leech got hit with Nerf but it was expected for the longest time.

phastos surfer and phastos zemo have been doing gr8 for me. I bought him with tokens. first new card outside of the pass cards in 2 months 😅 still have 12k tokens. and I'm gonna key Areshem next week and pray if I get the random card, it's some new card 🥴
I was very excited about phastos but then I learned that he does both, initially ini thought he either gives all cards 2+ or all -1eco After testing I felt very underwhelmed way too random to be reliable or maybe too late is like a worse pixie and gets countered by Mobius, fun yee ok but I regret pushing multiple the keys for him already
Phastos will either be buffed directly or indirectly through card synergy or both. Cards that fit into multiple archetypes always have value long term, a blind not-skip for me
It really bugs me they haven’t added the fast forward to Wong Odin combos cant watch a few of my cards get discarded but can spend 10 mins watching surfer go off.😅
I tried this deck and let me tell ya, you don't know joy until you've erased 9 cards from your opponents board with Gambit and then over took any of their power leads with Surfer on the last turn of the Game!

Im really enjoying him so far, grandmaster is a must with him. Been running the two of them in a number of decks and its bin great, a couple of weaknesses but im hooked on the pair of them in a discard package that includes gambit
@@domdabomb282 Okoye always gives +1 power. Phastos sometimes gives +2 power. Phastos isn’t as consistent as Okoye but has better pay off than her. The lack of consistency balances them out.

I felt more comfortable playing phastos in Evolutionary decks. Cost reduction and power buffs is just what Evolutionary needs
