Hi Dennis. Seiko is a victim of the populist image that they themselves have cultivated, with great success, over many decades. And with their attempts to push more upmarket, this has become a real problem for Seiko going forward. Be it mechanical or quartz, most of their customer base, who have simply come to expect a reliable watch, don't really care about the merits of one movement over another. They see a highly respectable brand. A Toyota of watches if you like, where, with their varying price points, the Mall guy will always struggle to differentiate between what is cheap and supposed to be more expensive.

Good point, I suppose emailing them all a copy of the spreadsheet won't really help.
