Holy BROS! We are now at one of the NES's most finest, respected and beloved platformers/games on the console, it's revamp time for Super Mario Bros 3, baby! Much like its predecessors, this game has been played and praised to heck and back, and for good reason being one of the most influential games for the series and NES! From its large amount of levels, colorful graphics, engaging gameplay, its secrets, all its hidden and cut content, and of course, the star of the show, it's glorious and lengthy soundtrack! Koji Kondo busting out some of his best work on the system and for the series, with even catchier melodies, memorable tunes, and taking what Kondo did in SMB2 with samples, and giving us one of the most recognizable Drum Sample sounds for many tracks, so much latin and tropical-esque samples enhancing many of the Timpani, Bongo and other various Drum/Wood samples sounds sequeezed into the NES soundchip with again Koji's custom Sound Driver! And as usual from the last two games, made sure to make the Tracklist as accurate and concise as possible, taking names from the "Game Sound Museum ~Famicom Edition~ ND Super Mario Bros. 3" release as it contained the titles I found the best. Along with extending many of the tracks past the usual looping standard, included special "Medley's" found in the PRG0 Revision NSF rip file of the game, whether Unused for something or some fun a programmer had with the music, it's a nice bonus I figured to throw into this Revamp! Thanks to all viewers, listeners and those that appreciate and share these new videos around, it means a lot to me. Pardon the extra time it took to upload this one, as expected, editing all the background footage to also match the footage where the music plays is definitely work, but work I'm proud to put in. Tier 2 & 3 supports on Patreon are thanked as usual (with some updated wording on the last sentence), consider supporting if you'd like! www.patreon.com/nikotengoku
Listen, I have to be honest here. My personal opinion: *SMB1 Underground:* Boring *SMB2 Underground:* Mysterious *SMB3 Underground:* The drums make it seem like the true variant compared against SMB1 Underground theme
Thank you Niko, this mix is awesome!!! You're really doing god's work here... I appreciate all the effort that was put into making everything sound (and look) beautiful. Despite how much I love NES music, I feel like it's hard to experience it properly because there really is a lack of good NES remasters (and the originals can sound underwhelming on good headphones). So thank you ❤
Just wanted to say I love how you've organized the tracks, mixing level music with world music, so neither gets stale as you listen to the whole soundtrack.
WOW.. i'm really blown away by how HQ your format sounds while still being so accurate! it's sounds just like the original but clearer, livelier, properly mixed, and with just the right amount of reverb. amazing!! nintendo should've hired you to remaster their songs!
Love it! I watched Summoning Salts amazing new documentary about speed runs for this game then beat it last week. Worlds 7 & 8 are no joke! What a beautiful game!
GAH! That one point in Athletic's Hurry with Boss Bass sent a wave of PTSD down my spine as the footage narrowly avoided a MUNCH. The game that started it all for me way back on Christmas 1990. This is my #2 favorite game of all time, just behind the original Legend of Zelda.
Koji did a great job with the music in Super Mario Bros. 3, not just primitive sounds, but also the addition of PCM Sample like drums, which makes the music more interesting
I really had no idea that Yoko remixed the King Koopa theme for Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars until I heard this. (What? I never beat SMB 3 😅) Thanks, Niko!
So many memories of this amazing game. After watching The Wizard we all about crapped our pants to see a preview of SMB3. My parents bought it the week it was released, paying $74.99 US at the time as I recall. Not sure how much that is in today's money but it was worth it. 😄
Man, Nintendo struck gold with this game I honestly don't think they will or could make a Super Mario game as good as this ever again. Everything since Mario sunshine has been very....meh. Mario maker brought the spirit back, yet Nintendo can't really bring back that enthusiasm for a new game, evidently. I hate being that guy living in the past, but why not make a good game on the basics of what made mario fun in the first place. Also, World 7's theme is best

Love the hip-hop version in SMB3. The SMB2 is also a very fun tune

Best NES soundtrack ever composed by Koji Kondo.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is his masterpiece. The only score where he evolved as a composer.
@@excrono That’s also my favorite Zelda game of all time
@@Ninten70 Mine as well
My favorite video game of all time. It has one of the best 8 bit soundtracks in the NES library.

i forgot how phenomenal the underwater theme is
Hell yeah! One of the best NES Soundtracks, finally in stereo!
And because of Bluetooth technology, Stereo includes wireless *(Bluetooth)* headphones!
Eh, It's alright. Listen to the Pictionary NES soundtrack if you want to hear the best of the best IMO

Great work, Koji Kondo and Niko. A really well-detailed and high quality upload.
The first NES game I ever beat on my own! LOVE IT!!
same
6:40 and 7:07 = Perfect transition.
So glad the gba version on switch online expansion added ereader levels. SP world 8 in frog suit was a ton of fun on switch NES too
Oh, they added the ereader levels? Cool!
The nostalgia is over 9000!
*M A M M A M I A !!!!* 😀

So much mileage out of those steel drums!
Nice! Another Niko "ECW Stereo" XD.

Thanks, Niko!
thanks niko, this ost is legendary!
Yesssss
Friggin awesome
This one deserves to be in the HOF of gaming music
funny, i've been remembering this game lately. such a timely upload
дякую
What the hell, this popped for me after I got done watching an Athletic BGM cover
One of the best
probably the best
Amazing. Thank you!
Childhood vibeZzz!
Love you bro!

The PCM drum sample sounds really high res and detailed, what sample rate/frequently did you use for this, if you don’t mind me asking.
Replicated on my own a few months later. Your mix here is close to my NSF standard, but with a bit more reverb and more center channel crossover.
Best Mario game ever case closed don’t wanna hear it.
I remember when this game was revealed in The Wizard movie, and also “The Power Glove, it’s so bad.”
Desert map is still awesome.
Uno de mis Marios favoritos ☺️🤟
U forgot the iconic Mario 3 title screen music smh
You're probably thinking about the All Stars version title screen on SNES. The NES version doesn't have any music on the title screen
Why do both versions of Underground BGM come after Underwater BGM? You can hear the former as early as 1-1, while you don't hear the latter until 3-1.
Man, Nintendo struck gold with this game

Nah. World 4's theme is the best. And those flowers dancing on the map make it even better.
Decent. Alright
HiDef 8-bit music
Can I make a request for RPG Jinsei Game?
